    California roll extra krab
    Ivy R.

TAKEOUT SUSHI REVIEW I work right next door and come here sometimes to get sushi, they have very reasonable prices and great sushi! I've ordered the California roll with extra krab three times and it didn't disappoint On the other hand the woman at the front host table is very rude when they are busy.. she "put me on hold" and started talking to her co workers and walked away from the front desk, so I had to hang up and call back since I was working (reason for star being missing). The tall brown haired guy is very nice, and so is the owner! I would recommend this place for sushi for sure!! Personally per the other reviews I haven't gotten myself to try any of the other food

Lunch Special Drunken noodles. Not made the Thai way. Catering to American tastes. Thai American food.

We came to this place because it has a 4 star rating. Next time, we really need to look at the detail reviews. Almost all of the reviews within the last year are 1 star reviews. Place is dark. Not a good vibe. Service was slow even though very few lunchtime diners. Waitress was kind though. The food is more Thai American than authentic Thai food. I ordered the LS: Shrimp Pad Thai with chicken & rice soup, and spring roll for $12.98. 1) The spring roll is really a regular egg roll stuffed with cabbage. The skin was hard and thick like an egg roll. I cannot remember ever having a worst spring roll. 1/5 2) Chicken and rice soup is mediocre. Very little stock. 3/5 3) Shrimp Pad Thai: Large shrimp tasted as if it cooked while still frozen. Like cardboard. Pad Thai flavor was more American than Thai. 2/5 The friend ordered the LS Drunken noodles with spring rolls, and upgrade to Tom yum soup. $17.96. She thought spring roll was good but she does not know the difference between a spring roll and egg roll. Tom Yum soup was decent. Drunken noodles. 1 bite and she tossed the rest. Was too Thai American for her. Her overall rating was 1. We ordered LS chicken pad Thai for her 2 kids. Kids refused to eat. I did not enjoy the food or atmosphere. With so many authentic Thai options available. Why eat mediocre prepared Thai American food? The lunch bill was $56.04 including the $8 tip. It would have been worth it if the place was cheerful with delicious Thai food.

Large Thai restaurant near Bealls. I was scouting this location as a possible ladies luncheon spot for a group. I ordered the lunch special-a spring roll, soup and pad Thai. Soup and spring roll were good. Pad Thai was Soso. Not many vegetables and not too flavorful. The furniture -tables and chairs - are very beat up with lots of chips and scratches and just very messy looking . Not very appetizing when you're eating looking at missing pieces of wood on the table. I don't think I'll return.

The food was decent. Came in mid day (lunch time) on a week day and was seated immediately. It wasn't busy by any means, a few servers working about 10 tables. The table to the left of me was complaining how their food came out cold. Our chicken pad Thai was also on the colder end (we ordered the lunch special with chicken pad Thai and some sushi rolls that were included). The cold pad Thai wasn't much importance to us. What was, was how the disgruntled people to the left were handled & we had to flag down our server multiple times for refills of water and to get our check. It may have been an off day for the staff, but we will most likely not return. It's difficult to want to pay for another lunch/dinner at a restaurant when the initial encounter wasn't thrilling. Although the appearance was spot on, the flavor/quality of the fish was not there. I'd say 75% of the food in each bowl was left untouched as we got our checks and headed out.

I have been to this place many times and the food is really fresh and good . Excellent quality and friendly atmosphere. The lunch special is very affordable. I really recommend it . It is reasonably priced .

This review is for takeout only! I recently treated a friend to sushi and Thai food from Thai Lotus. I read the great reviews and was delighted to see that Thai Lotus is located just a few minutes away from where I am staying. The menu is comprehensive and very reasonably priced. The sushi rolls are well-described, with fun names. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was very polite and told me my 5 item lunch order would be ready in . . . 15 minutes! I was able to pay with my credit card over the phone (so convenient!). I ordered the 'Happy Summer' roll: cooked salmon, crab, avocado, cream cheese, spicy mayo and eel sauce. It was very delicious! I tried my friend's S2 roll (aka Spicy & Sexy) of shrimp tempura, asparagus, avocado topped with spicy tuna and spicy mayo. Both rolls were EXCELLENT. I am craving them just writing about them! My pad thai with tofu had ample tofu in it, but I felt there was a lack of vegetables in the dish. I also missed the fresh elements usually on top of pad thai; although the trip from restaurant to my house was less than 10 minutes, the sprouts were already wilted. The dish had no lime slice in it. Otherwise, it was very good. The spicy basil noodles had a good flavor but I wish the flavor was stronger. Kudos on having lots of veggies in the dish. Affordable, delicious, prompt = thank you, Thai Lotus!

Lunch specials even on the weekend!

They have a great happy hour with discounted sushi rolls and drinks, and the happy hour appetizers looked incredible too. We were in the mood for a full dinner though, so we skipped the apps this time. My girlfriend got the hogfish sushi roll with cream cheese, jalapeño, and beet tempura flakes, and it looked amazing. I went with the hogfish fresh catch, which comes with a choice of sautéed or stir fry veggies and coconut or saffron rice. I chose the coconut rice with stir fry veggies, broccoli and green beans that day, and it was so good. Hogfish is honestly my favorite meal here and I've had it several times. It's always incredibly fresh. I like mine pan seared with butter, no oil, and it never disappoints. Great food, great vibe, and a bar seat is the way to go. Can't wait to come back.

It's a bit hidden from the outside - stickers cover the windows so you almost can't tell what the inside looks like, but it's such a chill vibe inside and the food is always really good, especially if you like fresh fish! We started with the bao buns (you can choose shrimp, chicken or pork). They were really good but spicy! We took off the jalapeños so they weren't as spicy! They were delicious otherwise. For dinner we split the Indoroni (they call grown up Mac and cheese), the dish is HUGE and super filling, and a fish special. The fish came encrusted with their infamous sauce on top over a huge salad with roasted peppers, capers, red onions, and lettuce and a really tasty salad dressing. You get to choose from a few different fish, whatever is available that day. We went with the triple-tail. Super cute spot. Fish is always delicious and we really enjoy the ambiance. Service was great. If you have never been, don't be intimated by the outside. I know the first time I came here I was like, is this a dive bar from my college days? It's really not at all! Food is really fresh!

We snagged a big round table outside and it was surprisingly quiet for 11:30 on a Sunday, especially given how popular their brunch menu is. Honestly, the menu might be the best part of this place. Its VERY varied! The scrambled egg, bacon, bread, and potato breakfast bowl is only $10 and comes with thick rye toast and really good potatoes. I always go for the breakfast burger though, 1/2 lb angus with bacon, cheese, and a fried egg for $17, and you can swap the breakfast potatoes for their wedge fries, which are unique and delicious. My burger came out more medium well than medium, no pink at all, so it was a little dry, but still tasty overall. Everyone else at the table was happy with their food. They also do 20% off sushi on Sundays, which is a nice touch even if it makes you wonder a little about freshness. Service was the weak point. Our waiter was friendly but pretty scattered & disorganized. He handed out waters & took our orders out of table order and nearly skipped someone entirely; It was a little stressful lol.... When the checks came, he merged mine with my neighbor's and added an iced tea neither of us ordered. Not a big deal, he fixed it, but he also offered us a $5 gift card for the mix up and then never brought it. Small thing, but it left an off note. Still, we love this spot. Great outdoor seating, a menu with something for everyone, and food that's consistently good. Just hoping for a smoother experience with service next time.

I really wanted to like this place it has a good vibe, a great location the inside of the restaurant and outside seating areas are beautiful! The sushi was good and priced well My shrimp weren't completely fried the batter was wet still, the onion rings were dry somehow the only good thing was the chicken tenders and if you do sit at the bar service takes forever and they aren't very attentive to you. My server was a foreign girl she was rude we ordered the wrong thing and I told her about not even 5 minutes later and told Me that we can't change the order bc that's what I initially ordered
