Terrible customer service. Came here with my boyfriend and I ordered a Thai iced tea which was mediocre at best and the waiter brought out two drinks. When I told him that I only ordered one he insisted that we ordered two and gave an attitude and said "Ok it's fine I'll take it back". Not even two mins into receiving my drink the waiter drops a check on the table making it feel like we were being rushed out. We got the hint that they didn't want us there so my boyfriend asked them if we could take the drink to go. They put a paper cup on the counter and told him "here you go." When he asked for a lid they told them they didn't have lids for their cups. Weird... at the end they ended up just packaging it like a bubble tea but the whole time they were grilling my boyfriend and insulting him in their language not knowing we understood what they were saying. Will not be going back. I would've came here by myself for the food if it wasn't for the horrible customer service. If you're not starving, I wouldn't recommend coming here and even then...I still wouldn't recommend. read more

Food was good, definitely one of the more decent choices in the neighborhood if you're looking for a change up. I can attest to the Beef Pho, Fishcakes, and lettuce wraps, those were good. The Green Curry was "ok" it lacked an abundance of flavor, somewhat tasting like green coconut milk with boiled contents. The papaya salad was also "ok", just a little mushy to say the least, maybe the papaya was too ripe. I've gone there more than a few times, ordering similar items + experimental items and I do feel like the food is really inconsistent. What I had today didn't taste as it did yesterday. When i ordered the lettuce wrap very very spicy, and it did not come out spicy at all, I asked about it and the waiter told me that the food was pre-made earlier and heat cannot be adjusted. So that made me cringe because two days before, adjusting spice level wasn't an issue. Why would you ask if you couldn't accommodate my request. Pretty simple logic. The entrees have always come out before the appetizers, set on overly massive plates on small tables. Which is a bit odd. It's also not a cheap meal ticket, and definitely not suppose to accommodate the community demographic per say. The staff can definitely be more attentive, its like they are in lala land. Terrible. I ordered the vegetable pad Thai lunch special and asked to add cilantro. First, there was a HAIR in my food, which is completely unacceptable. They didn't charge me for the cilantro but literally put 1 leaf in there. The food was dry & flavorless. I also ordered the coconut sticky rice which had no flavor as well. The cabbage and carrots were soggy and the lime they gave me with the order was stale. I always like going to this restaurant I thought the food was stellar however on my last visit to nyc ,I noticed the waitress had given herself a gratituity of over $14.00 I told her I wanted the charge removed because the gratuity is based on my experience with service , she stated she could not fix the charge ,she did not know how to use the system They just lost a loyal customer.. lesson learned check your bill for fraudulent charges.. based on my experience I would not recommend this restaurant -a community restaurant should not be milking the community ..perhaps these are new tactics that exist with gentrification. If you were to run a Thai restaurant, or any kind of restaurant that serves South East Asian cuisine, the very first thing you would need to master is your rice cooking skills. Or maybe buy a rice cooker to make your life easier. I got chicken massaman curry and mango sticky rice. Guess what, the rice that came with the curry was uncooked. So was the sticky rice. 4 people from my office called in an order. Delivery time was not bad, but the food was. The 2 drunken noodle orders were extremely dry and stuck together. I requested that mixed vegetables be added to 1 order and it consisted of broccoli, carrots and basil all of which were soggy. The other drunken noodle order had chicken added which was cooked so hard that it looked burned. My co worker order the ice tea which was according to her disgusting and did not taste like Thai iced tea at all. The Beef Pad Thai had no flavor and was not appealing to the eye, over all just "not good." The vegetable pad Thai had hair in it which was not found until the 4th bite. The final "straw" heavy pun intended, was that the straws for my soda were sealed shut at the bottom. When I called the restaurant for them to come an pick up the food and issue a refund they gave me a hard time saying "we cant refund money to cards." My response..."but you will today." After several calls, they claimed that they would issue a refund in a few days as well as send a delivery guy over to refund the cash for the beef pad Thai. Let's see if this actually happens. We have the food bagged up and waiting for them to take it back. Thai Me? Don't Try Me. I forgot to mention that 3 of us have stomach aches right now. The wait staff are very attentive and sweet. The food is delicious. We had Tom Ka and Tom Yom. For an entree we had eggplant and pork. The portions were huge. Every spice and vegetable was used. The quality of the chicken in the Tom Ka was pure white meat and large chunks. My wife had 6 large shrimp in the Tom Yum. It was chock full of kifer, Thai ginger, Thai basil, mushrooms, lemon grass, and much more. We could not finish the egg plant porch sauté as it was too large. The ingredients were fresh and varied too many to list. It was fabulous. We had desert of fried bananas and sesame and honey.
