ive truly never wanted to like a place more. this is my local thai spot and it's promising in theory. service is great, everyone is very friendly and easygoing there. food comes out quickly and they're attentive to whatever you need. ambience is also great, and there's a really nice outdoor seating area. however, the food itself is really just average. the fried rice was decent but was pretty mildly spiced when i asked for medium, and the tofu was pretty flavorless. my friend's panang curry tasted alright but was incredibly liquidy and lacking thickness. the spring rolls were good and the drunken noodles are okay. i'm certainly not giving up on this place, and will be back to try again. i want to believe that I maybe just visited on off days for them. worth noting that the pricing is pretty fair and competitive with other much pricier spots nearby. read more

I went around 2:30 and it wasn't busy at all. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter was super sweet! I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls and vegetarian curry puffs for an appetizer and the garlic sautéed vegetable mix as an entree. The spring rolls were crunchy and tasty. The curry puffs were splendid. The filling was absolutely divine. The vegetable mix's garlic sauce was really savory! I love broccoli in oyster sauce and this dish reminded me of that! This neighborhood Thai spot is so beautiful inside! It's not a big restaurant but the size of the space is wonderful for a party of two or four. The cocktails here are really refreshing and not too strong. I liked the Muay Thai Punch a lot. Only two servers were working the whole restaurant but they were both still efficient and very helpful with recommendations! The Chicken Sate was one of their recs and it was juicy and tender. I also really enjoyed their fresh Steamed Mussels. The Crab Meat Pad Thai was okay! Lots of crab in it was nice, but the noodles were leaning on the sweeter side. Beds Thai is an awesome neighborhood restaurant with great cocktails, good food and a chill vibe. I ordered the spring rolls, dumplings, shumai and the pork krapow. All of the dishes were quite delicious with the exception of the pork krapow. I thought there was very little meat and it was more of a vegetable stir fry. However, the meal was still quite tasty. The food tasted good. I had the pad thai tofu and my friend had a curry dish with chicken. We split a chicken and shrimp dumpling appetizer. The portion sizes were on the smaller side for all dishes. Service was very good. Staff was attentive to us. Ambiance was basically pleasant. They did a lot with a small space. Good decorating. Seating available inside and outside. Very pleased to say I ordered from here today and actually did not even realize I had a negative experience a few months ago. The pad Thai has made a complete 180!!! Tried the shrimp pad Thai and shrimp rolls. Got a large Thai iced tea for $4.75 which was huge, and the regular 16 oz being 3.75, probably cheapest in the area. The shrimp was properly cleaned and not over cooked as it is in most places and a very generous portion of at least 10 shrimp. Was much more saucy and flavorful today, even had a sprinkling of lemongrass which puts it above the rest. Definitely one of the better Thai experiences I've had in recent memory. read more

My second meal today is from Bed's Thai (formally Sushi Tatsu II.) I'm really into their fried rice which is always fresh and non-greasy. The fried pork is tasty and great to snack on while binge watching Good Times. I didn't order the curry puffs today but I have in the past and they are also a treat.
