Friendly service and delicious foods are great reasons to find this hidden gem. It's not really hidden just off the beaten track. This restaurant has changed quite a bit since my first visit here over 10 years ago. The seating and decor has become more comfortable and more classy. Prices have also gone up. The food is still excellent though. We tried the new Money Bags appetizer (chicken, peanuts, corn, and peas wrapped in a dumpling skin and deep-fried) - very tasty! My husband had the vegetable delight and his rice came out shaped like a little bear - very cute! I had the curry Bento set with Penang curry. This is my favorite go to Thai food. The dinning area is comfy and beautifully decorated with pictures and Thai craft make it feel like home. The service is great, attentive with friendly Thai smile. New dishes added to the menu. We try the money bags and pork jerky with sticky rice.. YUMMY!! The curry of the day (Musman) comes with rice and egg rolls from lunch menu. We had lunch here on our last day of the trip. This is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Inside has plenty of booths and tables. We ordered: Shumai - very small compared to others I have had. There wasn't a lot of flavor. Pad Thai (chicken ) spicy - with a crab ragoon (lunch combo) - it was ok per my son, the spice was not there and somewhat bland. Pad Thai bland??? Pad Se Ew (chicken - medium spice) with spring roll (lunch combo) - again it was ok. It lacked a depth of flavor I love about Thai food. Staff was friendly although we did have to waive her down to get the check. Overall fine, just not that punch of flavor you expect from Thai. Thai mint used to be our favorite Thai food in the springs but things have changed over the last few years. Prices have increased significantly which is understandable in this economy but when the quality of food goes down as prices rise, it's just a bad combination. The amount of protein in the soups and curries has decreased a lot. I only had one piece of chicken in my most recent order or tom Kha gai. They have changed the vibe in the main entrance area as well. There is now a place to take pictures next to a neon sign. The only perk that I've noticed is the ability to order online. read more

Chose this place for dinner and we're seated with no rsvp. I had high expectation since the reviews were good. I was a little disappointed because the food lacked flavor and nothing really stood out. The egg were were dry and needed some extra kick to it. The chica bombs were also dry and the sauce was alright. Fried rice could have used more sauce or something to add to it. Not good at all. The drunken noodles had a rancid taste, kinda like burnt oil or a dirty pan. Spring rolls were empty and greasy. The green curry was mainly bamboo shots but a few pieces of dry chicken. Everyone has a bad day but this was not all around terrible. read more

Thai Mint was suggested as we were leaving Phoenix on our way to Colorado Springs. This place is solid. We went early on Friday night and had no reservations. As we entered the restaurant, they had a decent crowd, clean surrounds and staff with smiles on their face. We ordered the Pad Thai and Massaman curry with chicken and medium spice. The Pad Thai was perfectly spiced, great sauce but not dripping and great flavor. The Massaman curry was good but runny. It also was tasty and nicely spiced. The pad see ew is really tasty and spicy which i liked. They have sticky rice for $7 and $4 which the more expensive clearly shows mango. I ordered that and paid full price but only got plain sweet rice nothing else. I feel like that price isn't worth it at all. Honestly I recommend going and dining in. We had the pad Thai, drunken noodles, pad see ew, beef noodle soup, and the khai soi. The drunken noodles was the most flavorful of the default Thai noodles. I love khai soi and it's very hard to find so was happy to see it on their menu. It did not disappoint. With fluorescent lighting and perforated tiled ceilings attempted to be hidden with an assortment of decor. There were only two waitresses working so it took a bit of time to order. Thai tea was good! We ordered the fried potstickers, pad Thai, tom yum, yellow curry and veggie fried rice. All were very good! Tom yum could have more tamarind flavor. We had to ask for plates since this was family style, servings were huge and the table was not large enough. Decently priced as well for the portion sizes. My sister and I came in to order lunch here so her husband could join us for his lunch break. We started with a Thai iced tea and boom boom chicken off the appetizer menu. The Kaffir leaves with chicken were really tasty and we loved the little cucumber salad that came with it! We ordered more plates to share including the Thai Mint fried rice, pineapple red curry and Khao Soi soup on the lunch specials menu. The kitchen was able to make this soup with tofu instead of chicken. It was the best thing! I thought the pineapple curry was lacking in flavor comparatively. We finished off our feast with some mango sticky rice. Service was efficient and attentive - they handled the busy lunch hour easily. Warning: the door is extremely heavy and it looks dark from the outside, but just pull really hard! Other than that, I had a 5 star dining experience at Thai Mint. The staff are friendly and fast, the food is amazing and the ambiance is wonderful. I tried the tom kha soup for the first time here and they happily substituted meat for tofu. It had a wonderful coconut and tomato flavor with a spicy kick. I ordered tofu pad Thai for my main dish and I have to say, it was probably the best pad Thai I've had in Colorado Springs! I asked for medium spicy and it didn't taste spicy to me, so maybe get more spice if that's what you're after. The bean sprouts seemed different than what I'm used to...less crunchy, but I liked it because sometimes they can dominate the dish. The sauce was flavorful and delicious and it had a great peanut ratio. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for amazing thai food. read more

We ate here on our last trip to the Sorings about a year ago and it was so good we wanted to stop by again. They were spot on this time as well! We found hair in it as well, and when we asked for a different soup, they said the most they could do was a 20% discount of the total, and the total for that and a dish of pad Thai was around $40 but was only discounted $3.19...
