My wife and I and friends visited this restaurant for the first time today. The location was convenient, parking was plentiful and free, the outside and inside of the restaurant were decorated nicely, we were greeted upon entering, our order was taken in 5 minutes, our food was served hot, was delicious, and quite expensive, service was good, no music was playing, and the restroom was clean and did not smell. read more

I wish Yelp allowed half stars because my honest rating is 3.5. If I'm just rating the Pad Thai I would rate it a bit higher but overall I think this is a fair reflection. I like the Combination Pad Thai as it's really rare to find in terms of the combination: chicken, shrimp and fried tofu. It's really good with all of that! However it is on the sweet side for Pad Thai. But if I'm craving the combo I will go to this place. We also tried the drunken noodles with crispy duck and it was alright. The duck was quite dry and noodles were okay. I think I've had the Tom Kha soup here also which was decent but doesn't stand out. Service is good. read more

Delivery was through Grubhub so not really fully attributable to the restaurant, but the order was accurate and arrived early. We had fried wontons, green curry, and combination fried rice. When the food arrived, admittedly my initial reaction was that the prices were on the high side for the quantity. That being said, I quickly got over that once I tasted it! Lanna Thai has been a staple for date night for the last five years. It's always good, clean, and efficient. Appetizers: Wings: We branched out and tried the wings. They were very crispy and just lightly sauced which gave them the perfect sweet and savory combination. Chicken Dumplings: a staple each time we visit for a reason. They are just the perfect little appetizer. They are presented well and the flavor of the filling with the dumping just works. Main course: Pineapple Fried Rice: I must say this is a staple for me because I absolutely love fried rice. The combination of all the flavors and textures of pineapple, veggies and nuts just make this delicious to the last bite. I have been coming here long enough to remember when they used to use fresh pineapple, and it is disappointing to get canned pineapple in this dish now, but it's still a favorite. My son however loves their food and orders it spicy and this is one of his favorites restaurants to eat spicy food when he used to live in Colorado Springs. I need to start this review out by stating in the past we had loved this restaurant. We gave it very high marks for great food and service. Over the years we started seeing changes in our entrees like pre-cooked/old chicken in the dishes then tonight we experienced something we had to let everyone know about. I received old chicken in my dish and my wife's dish was also old and re-heated because the food had not been heated thoroughly, cold areas in the food. At the end of the meal when the tab was brought to us they had automatically added a 20% gratuity. Here's the problem. One, they didn't tell us of the gratuity and two, the tab still had the customer added gratuity area so basically the patron would pay two gratuities if they hadn't read the tab closely. The food is good but the fact that they do not have a lunch or children's menu makes this too expensive for families and for lunch. The service is ok as they are willing to answer questions but aren't good about refilling drinks. Ambiance is that of a cheap oriental restaurant and does not necessarily match the prices they charge. When my food came out the chef was watching. It was spicy. The next few times he made it even spicier. Triple Thai hot. I have to admit, the last time actually got to me a bit. They changed their menu, and I asked for an old item thats not on their anymore. It used to be the L6, and it's dry pad thai noodles with this refreshing light broth. Anyway, they remembered and made it for me anyway. This meal is something you go to bed at night thinking about. Even though for eating carbs, you don't feel bloated like most noodle dishes. The taste is something I can't explain, except that it leaves you speechless. They made the spice level hot for me, which I like, but I ordered a thai tea which immediately cools you back down.
