I was treated to a massage here before a long flight. The staff were polite and courteous. I was greeted with tea and a hot towel. I took off my shoes and put slippers on. I was then taken to a private room where I received a thorough massage. Afterwards, you have some water and grapes as a nice hydration treat! Stay away from this place. This place is toxic and that's exactly why someone tried to burn this place down because of their unprofessionalism and the place being dirty. They deleted my review somehow so I am reposting this review. The bigger lady named Cindy was incredibly unprofessional as she would not stop massaging me hard. I had to get acupuncture done due to the chronic pain on my back and my neck. If I could give them 0 stars I would! I asked her politely to massage me lightly but she did not listen to me and kept going hard. They have a grudge against me from the past because I left them a bad review but I was stupid enough to go back here because my friend wanted to get the massage done here and also because Buntoon apologized to me as she gave me a massage herself back a few years ago. My eyes were bloodshot red right after the massage because I literally got squished. I told her not to massage my head yet she kept going, this place use to be good when May and June was working here but they moved back to Thailand. The business owner Buntoon said to me something along the lines "because you left bad review, my business has not been great." I took it off after but now I am reposting this because they messed up my back, neck and hair. Thanks for your unprofessionalism and I hope that you guys are genuinely satisfied and over with your grudge after doing damage to ME. First time here, been looking to try out a traditional Thai massage for a while now. We went in, they took our temp and gave us have sanitizer and sprayed the bottom of our shoes with disinfectant. My husband and I were lead into a room with 2 massage beds and were asked to change into their thai massage shirt and pants then lay facedown. I had winny and my husband had Paul. They were both very professional and worked our tight bodies like magic. The traditional Thai massage is like someone doing stretches for you. If you're someone who's stiff and the regular massage isn't hitting the spot, switch it up and get a Thai massage. Highly recommend, will be returning in the future. read more

This is my go to place for all things nails. My three week old pedi is still going strong, and I just got a thorough gel mani from Ms. Toy. She really got in there and made my nails look beautiful. The pedi comes with a leg massage, and the mani comes with a nice hand massage as well. Plus it was only $15 for the pedi and just $21 for the gel mani!!!! That's lower than the range I found online! They have a nice selection of colors that is not overwhelming, and the spa itself is very clean. It's better if you make an appointment. I went to get a couples massage with my boyfriend. It was our first massage ever! They greeted us with a delicious hot ginger tea, slippers and a hot towel. The setting was beautiful and relaxing however while getting the massage there was a lot of background noise such as, the register, other customers and material moved around. We got the Swedish massage for 60 min each. Overall it was good. My favorite part was getting my arms massaged. I was disappointed that we didn't get hot rocks especially because the room was a little cold. It was a total of $200 including tip (voluntary) All in all, I do not think it was worth $200. read more

They Scam You !! Before go think twice ! They charged Hidden fees from cards ! I was looking for a good waxing and spa saloon . I found them on yelp and I thought i would try to get their service since this is my close to home. I called them before making waxing appointment. I also informed them i"ll do full body wax except underarm and face. Before making appointment they confirmed they will not charge for underarm . They will deduct charges. But once finish and once i was ready to pay they"ve charged full charge not deducted amount. I ask them why this us charged they said it will be in package they are not going to deduct any money. Also they charged and give reciept full body wax amount as $160 and i paid it but they charged from my bank $240 . When today i saw there is some extra charges then i figure out this is by them . They will Scam you . If you are pay to them large amount please be careful and check any additional amount they charged it or not. Now i having such a hard time to dispute the charges . read more

Hub and I had an overdue massage that was much needed esp with 2 kiddos. We decided to treat ourselves on a Fri night. We had a so-so experience when we were in Bangkok. The spa (Dahra Beauty & Spa in Silom) had an amazing package but the overall massage was just poor. We were a bit hesitate to try again due to the poor experience. We just tried our luck after looking up the couples massage. I believe, I had Patty while Hub had another female masseuse. We were given hot towels and ginger tea upon arrival. We were given slippers to. The receptionist was extremely friendly and accommodating. I spoke with the same person who booked my appointment. We also had our daughter with us since their last appointment was 5:30PM. They had no issue with letting her stay in addition to giving her water and chocolates. We were extremely grateful as some businesses can be strict with accommodating children. After filling out the paperwork, we went straight into the massage room. Patty and the other masseuse went right to work. We had the 60 min Swedish massage. It got rid of all the knots on our backs and necks. Once we were settled, we were asked which areas they should focus on. The time was distributed evenly on the back, hands, foot, neck/shoulder, etc. I opt for medium pressure which was noted throughout my massage. When we were done with the session, we couldn't be more pleased. However, Hub did noted for his massage, he didn't get much work done for his foot. The only thing that was bothersome for both of us was the music selection. It went from serene to some other track that was too loud. It sounded like Asian pipes/drums/flutes which didn't go well with the ambiance of the spa. Def will be back again to try other treatments/massage! read more

So- I was looking for a place to treat myself to a massage and did some yelp research and saw this one had some good reviews. Good ol' yelp! Glad I found this place via the app! I had some knots in my back and really needed a "me" day. It's in a quieter area of Astoria- so I was able to find parking nearby. I did call to make an appointment which I believe is the best thing to do. I wouldn't just walk in because it seems they are kinda busy. I went in and was greeted by very friendly staff members and instructed to remove my shoes, put on sandals, sit down and relax. They also give you a little cup of tea while you wait and a hot towel. I didn't wait very long- maybe about 5 mins until I was taken into the back for my massage. I did the hour long massage and boy did I need it. I don't remember the name of my lady who gave me the massage- but she was great! You don't realize how fast an hour can go by until you are laying there totally relaxed. My fiancé got me a gift certificate for another massage which I am going to use very soon! Overall- the place is pretty immaculate, the staff is very friendly, and my massage was awesome! Definitely extremely over priced but they seem to be clean and take some covid precautions which is why I came here in the first place. So this review is based on my recent visit. I got a deep tissue massage again. The lady's name was cindy. Very nice and but definitely gave me a half ass swedish massage definetly not no deep tissue and she maybe spent 2 minutes on my trouble spot which I clearly pointed out to her at the start. That's the whole reason I went. Then they charge you $99 and add 4.50 for some tax I've never been charged anywhere else so paid a total of $103.50. I always give 20 percent so ended up 123.50 down the drain. Thats basically 2 massages at any other location in Astoria including tip.Definitely will not be coming back. So disappointed... read more

The Thai New York Spa is my favorite mani, pedi, and spa treatment spot in Astoria. Most nail places make you feel like you are on an assembly line, and they can't get you out the door fast enough. The Thai Spa is thankfully not one of those places. They have a relaxing spa atmosphere, friendly staff, high quality products, reasonable prices, and I am addicted to the delicious ginger tea they offer. They do not have many nail polish colors. However, I always bring my own nail polish so this is not a problem for me. Luckily, I live close by, and I am able to drop by often to take advantage of their many spa deals.
