We lived in Peachtree City for a year and fell in love with this place...As life would have it we moved away...granted only about :30 away, but we have yet to find our "Thai Spice" where we live! We hopped in the car and made the drive back and OMG...we realized that Thai Spice is the ABSOLUTE BEST on EVERY scale! We had our cravables, Rama with Chicken, the Crying Tiger (the dipping sauce I could drink...Funky Awesome) and of course Pad Thai!! Everything was as amazing as we remembered! We have tried many things here! (The Coconut soup and Beef Jerky get honorable mentions), but you will not go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu! Our search is over and we have found our "Happy Place"! Fantastic as always! Service is inviting and welcoming. Food was delicious as always- start with spring rolls followed by cashew nut chicken with Thai fried rice as your main course. It's plenty to share. Otherwise you'll definitely be asking for a box to take the rest home. The dish was full of flavor, cooked temperature, and was served to the table quickly. There's a bar you can sit at, if you're dining solo, but there are tables you can enjoy your meal at too. The staff is friendly and pleasant. Long, one of my favorite bartenders, makes an amazing Cosmopolitan! Everything I've tried had been amazing! I love their curries the most. This review is based on my takeout experience. I initially planned to dine in, but when I arrived at Thai Spice, there was a note on the door for takeout only . At first, I considered leaving, but I decided to give it a try anyway and the food was delicious . As I entered to place my takeout order, I was greeted by a very pleasant staff member. Since I was extremely hungry, I ordered immediately: Tom Yum Soup, Chicken Satay, Shrimp Pad Thai, and the fried banana for dessert. I must say, the food was prepared with fresh ingredients, leaving my taste buds happy and satisfied! The sauce and pickled cucumbers for the satay were especially delicious! The Pad Thai was also a hit! It had the perfect amount of shrimp to balance the noodles. I forgot to mentioned that I had the Thai Tea while I waited and it was refreshing ! The sweet and savory comfort of my fried banana dessert was also delicious. This is our first time trying Thai Spice. To be honest, I didn't want to get my hopes up because I've been disappointed by other restaurants in the area who serve food that is traditionally complex in taste, but they choose to water it down to fit the audience. This was definitely the case with the Tom Yum soup here. Tom Yum soup was my first introduction to Thai food in the mid 90's and it's what got me on the hook. The hot and sour flavors are so bright and addictive. This was not the case here. The soup was almost clear and lacked flavor. I wouldn't recommend trying it. We also ordered the Pad Kee Moa which totally made up for the soup. This noodle dish is a must try. I'd recommend sprinkling on some dry chili to give it an extra kick. The Rama was ok, a bit salty, but decent. Our sever Pam was friendly and the restaurant itself is super clean and cute inside. Today (1/10/24) was my first time trying this restaurant for lunch. Nice decor and attentive service. My only issues are: small portion sizes, more vegetables on the plate than meat and too much empty space on our plates. Then if you want to sub regular steamed rice for fried rice it's an additional $5 charge. Beef jerky ridiculously priced at almost $12 for 4-5 small pieces of beef on a plate. Nice Thai restaurant, that used to be at the Avenues. They are back, next to Mellow Mushroon. Great decor. Wood and modern art feel. There are booths and tables. We had a booth. Attentive wait staff. Owner included was helping out. Our wait on a Saturday night was 25-30 minutes. The wait area was small. The bar probably holds no more than ten ppl. It was at capacity. We ordered as apps Tea Rose dumplings and Shrimo Basil Rolls. Both were good with accompanying sauces. Our entrees were the Drunken Noodles with combo meat selection-beef,chicken,and shrimp. Yum! Everything was good and satisfying. I had a Lemon Dtop martini. Needed more lemon for my tastes but overall a solid drink. We had a great time. We took most of our food home as we were full. Can't say how happy I was to find the SAME owners reopened at a new location not too far from It's old place. Some of the same faces and of course the same AMAZING food. They've been open 2wks as of my visit but the owner Vinny whom I've know since I was pregnant with my now 9yr old was happy to see familiar faces. And assures us the menu will grow back to what we were once familiar with as they get more settled in. Still lovely ambiance and I might say it was pretty busy on a Thursday at 5p and no signs to calm down now that they are back!!
