I have been to Thai Squared three times now so my review is a synthesis of those visits but with my most recent trip as example. The restaurant is in a giant trip mall on Windward Parkway. Well Windward Parkway might have a fancier name for strip mall, like "outdoor shopping experience with attached parking adjacent to a crazy busy road by Costco" but what do I know? The key is plenty of parking and access to the restaurant and other nearby businesses. Walk in the front door and you will find a bright, tidy, and modern space. Pick up a menu, stand in line, order at the counter. If you are getting tea or soft drink you get a cup you can go fill. Or other softdrinks come in bottles. Go sit at a table (some are outdoors on a covered patio) with your number. After short time a nice person bings you your food. I had green curry with chicken, it was very good. Megan had red curry with chicken. It was very good also and spicier than the green. Lunchtime comes with veggie spring role that was ok, and the sauce for it was too sweet. Thai Square is a good stop for lunch. Bring a to go container too, the portion is large enough that you will be taking some home. read more

The staff is very helpful, friendly, courteous and responsive to your allergen needs. gF options abound and they will work with you! Food came out of the kitchen piping hot, well seasoned and spiced as noted, and generous portions. We tried a few different items to get the feel- basil rolls with tofu, Green Curry, Panama Curry Tom Ka, Thais Coffee. The house tea is jasmine green tea, sweet or unsweetened. Ahh, so good. I love Thai food! They have an extensive menu that's printed well. They have the usual American Thai favs like Chicken Satay, Fresh Spring Roll/Basil Roll, crab puffs, Pad Thai, and Tom Yum. They have fountain and bottled beverages PLUS a great selection of teas. Previously, I had the Pad Si-Ew and basil rolls. Delicious! However, this time my boyfriend and I split the crispy duck wraps and got a side of Jasmine + Egg Fried rice. Sooo good guys. Duck is one of my favorite dishes of all time. It was beautifully prepared and so crispy on the outside. The egg fried rice was extremely flavorful as well. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Food was brought out quickly while it was also obviously freshly prepared which is awesome. We left a wallet on accident and went shopping; one of the kind ladies there had been searching for us the whole time and literally ran the wallet to us! She seriously saved the day. We came here on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded. This is an order at the counter and they bring you your food type of place. On this night, we were allowed to seat ourselves. We found a nice spot upstairs and were the only ones up there. We sat first, then came back down to order. Our food and drinks were brought to us and arrived within 10 minutes or so. The menu had lots of good options and was well illustrated. the interior is modernly decorated. I got the Tom Yum noodle soup, which is not seen on a lot of thai menus. I added shrimp, which there could have been more in the dish when it came. Otherwise though, the noodles were great and the broth was more on the sweet side, which was fine. Once finished, there is a station upstairs with all of the to-go boxes etc. that you can help yourself to. The bathrooms are clean and we saw lots of take-out orders while we were there. There is ample parking by the restaurant. It is a very casual dining experience, you walk in and grab a menu and order at the front. Then you can sit anywhere you like. They have upstairs and outside as well. However when we went upstairs was not available. The indoor main seating area is kinda dark. So we opted for sit outside. It could've used a bit of love (tidying up). There was no wait when we went for dinner on the weekend so we were able to order right away. They gave us cups to fill our own water at the soda machine. Brought out beer, extra water and food to the table. Food came out really fast. Roti: the portion was very small, and the sauce is a very sweet peanut sauce. Roti was nice Tom Yum soup (not pictured): lacked the traditional sourness. We ordered it with shrimp and the shrimp size was good. Papaya salad (not pictured): even though we requested for extra spicy, it was only barely spicy and had almost no fish sauce flavor. Coconut milk soup (with chicken): this was my favorite item that we ordered. Nice coconut flavor and big chunks of meat. Just wish it came in the more traditional pot so it can be kept warm. Wings: very average wings, lack in flavor but was good size. Crispy duck wrap: the sauce wasn't sweet. The chili sauce wasn't spicy. The wrap was a giant tortilla (but did come very hot, had 5 pieces). Duck was nicely cooked and did not taste game-y. I wish the green onions were cut into smaller pieces. Pineapple fried rice (with beef): very standard fried rice. Doesn't have the typical curry taste. Mango sticky rice (not pictured): mango wasn't as sweet but still overall was good! I make sure I make the time to stop in and eat at my Favorite restaurant. I am a left leg above the knee amputee. I am a Army Veteran who was wounded overseas and I have always been able to come here and feel right at home and the food is awesome and always fresh. I really love the strawberry/pink milk tea. I always make sure to get one for the road too. Have been here before but was happy to recommend to my coworkers for us to come here for lunch. We ate outside and I really enjoyed my Drunken Noodles with seafood and it was very well seasoned and flavorful. We all pretty much cleared our plates. The only con I will say was that my coworkers had there plates and had been eating for over 5 minutes before my plate came out. Ordered take out last night...it was inedible. The pad Thai was a lump of mushy noodles. The larb came on three soggy leafs of romaine lettuce, no cabbage to make wraps. We have only ordered food to go from Thai squared. It's rather small inside. They have maybe about six tables. Some of our favorite meals include: Red curry, which is made with coconut milk, Asian melon, bell pepper, carrots, and basil leaves. We also like the Penang curry which is very similar except it does not have the Asian melon and I believe it is a bit spicier. We also like a few of the noodle dishes like Pad Thai which is made with rice noodles, stir-fried with eggs bean sprouts, scallion, lime and crushed peanuts. Also, the drunken noodle which is a thicker rice noodle and stir fried with onions, carrots, bell peppers, and basil leaves. In cooler weather I tend to order the coconut milk soup which is made with coconut milk, mushrooms, cilantro, chili and green onions. I add chicken and order it medium spicy. It comes in a small and a large which is 32 oz. Very delicious. Yum! read more

I've been to Thai Squared a few times since writing my original review. It's time I updated their rating to four stars. I enjoyed it each time. Recently, I ordered in and had some Tom Yum noodle soup. I LOVED the way they sent a soup kit -- basically deconstructed. The bowl had all the noodles with toppings and sauces packaged separately. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the North Fulton area, and we eat here often. The menu is large but I've found the best dishes are drunken noodles, spicy basil leaves, yellow curry fried rice, and cashew chicken. The basil rolls are also a good appetizer. The dishes are very flavorful and they tend to run spicy (the medium is here is similar to Hot at many Thai places). I also really like that they offer a kid's menu, as you don't always want to order a full adult entree for a kid. Service is always great and their website is easy to order from (via ChowNow). I personally love their Pad Thai because it's the closest I've found to a family member's family recipe from Thailand (she always spoiled me with her delicious pad thai). I recently decided to go off script and try the sesame chicken and it was incredible- juicy, tender chicken and so much flavor. My husband has tried many of their entrees and always loves it.
