Thank you Ethan Quachin'it for wonderful drinks! Your service is so aura maxxing and awesome!!!!

Tindrum Asian Cafe was honestly such a great experience. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and everything tasted amazing. The portions were solid, the service was quick, and the whole place had a really chill vibe. A big shoutout to my server, Ethan Christopher Quach, for being super friendly, helpful, and making the experience even better. You can tell this place really cares about both the food and the customer service. Definitely one of those spots you end up craving again later. Safe to say... I'm Quachin it.

Despite being a chain, this was my first time visiting one of these locations. This location was a bit difficult to access since it's in the Collection at Forsyth. There were no spots near the restaurant when I went so we parked near the movie theater and walked over. It was pretty busy inside as well. We placed our orders and it took maybe 15-20 minutes to receive our food. I ordered the Phuket woon sen and it was very tasty. For the price ($10.50 + $1.50 for protein) you get a decent portion but probably not enough for leftovers. My only complaint was that I ordered grilled chicken with my meal and my friend got fried chicken for the same dish. The price to add chicken was the same ($1.50) but if you ordered fried chicken you got a lot larger portion. I would say the dish had double the amount of fried chicken than grilled chicken.

Confession time - my husband and I go here weekly. We truly love it that much! Typically, we'll either do date night here and eat inside and then walk across the street for a movie at AMC, or we'll get takeout/delivery. We've had great experiences in all three situations, and probably get takeout most often. Their service is always quick and everyone behind the counter clearly works as a team and helps each other out. They do have limited seating on a busy day/night, but we've never run into the issue of not finding a table (it's usually just two of us though). My top three favorite dishes are the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, the Citrus Pad Thai, and the Chinatown Lo Mein. I get a cup (sometimes a bowl) of the Thai coconut soup (tom kha gai) every.single.time. It's my absolute favorite - especially in winter. Their recipe just hits it out of the ballpark and makes my tastebuds dance and sing! They also have a ton of Boba and Fruit Teas, and they even sell Hi-Chews candy in store (IYKYK).

Chicken Ramen. Yum. Limited time.

We love Tin Drum. It's fast Asian fusion. We go before a movie usually. Portions are large. Food is fresh. Area is ultra clean. You can adjust the level of spice in each dish. I have had several different dishes. Rice. Noodles. Soup. All excellent. Be sure to use their app. You can get free stuff.

I don't know how this place doesn't have 5 stars ‍ My food was ready super fast, the food was delicious and healthy (if you get sauce on the side) and using the app, there seems to always be something free! The sweet and savory chicken hits the spot every time and the side salad was better than expected with the hidden basil and cilantro The girl at the counter didn't know how to ring up my free salad but luckily the manager was right there to assist quickly. Great job. Lots of great shopping around the area so great location. Ambiance was chill.

I have been a customer of Tin Drum for over 10 years now. It has really changed. This is my last order. The portion is tiny, and it is waterless and tasteless. Please do not waste your money with this horrible restaurant.

no egg

Before I get into my rant, let me preface this, I do really like this place. I come here with my friends all the time and I personally love it. Other than this time. I ordered tonkotsu ramen which is fine, but there was one thing missing. One crucial element to the beloved tonkotsu ramen. The tonkotsu ramen consists of many beautifully crafted elements from the delicious broth down to the char-shu pork (if that's what you order). There's so many elements and flavors to this ramen it's unbelievable. But when this one ingredient is missing, it ruins the whole dish. That ingredient, is the soy egg. This egg, while simple, inflates this meal from a cheap flavorless ramen into the most perfect bowl of ramen you could have in Cumming, GA. I came here with 4 of my friends (so 5 in total), and we all ordered either tonkotsu ramen or bangin' miso ramen. As the ramen rolled out hot and fresh from the kitchen, we were all joyous to dine in. Sweat dripping from as our saliva piled up in our mouths. This was the moment we were all waiting on, time to feast! (or so we thought...) 2 of the 5 bowls didn't have the beloved soy egg. Meal destroyed. Day ruined. Never, and I mean never, coming back here again. EVER! A bowl of ramen without an egg is like the NYC skyline after 9/11. Something's just missing. Beware before you enter this building, or you will be shocked when your juicy delicious soy egg has gone missing. Safe travels. Pictures below for evidence.

Though I'd like to say this is a pretty average Americanized "Asian" food place, I find this location underwhelming in comparison to its other locations. The food came out unusually fast, and that was an intentional use of the word "unusual." The food tasted like a meal I would try to cook at home for myself for the first time and purposefully not share. The spices felt unbalanced and the cooking process felt accidental. DISHES: we ordered special curry dish as well as the Singapore noodles with tofu. There wasn't great depth of flavor in either, and the tofu was a bit overcooked and reminded me of the dishes I used to eat that made me question returning to eat the soy product again. SERVICE: It was unmemorable at most. Like many order-at-the-counter spots, the initial order is the only time for any interaction with staff. The person that took our order was polite enough, yet not particularly cheery or helpful on the customer service front. ENVIRONMENT: Tin Drum locations have this metallic, industrial vibe to them, but I find that even the Georgia Tech location masters it better. It seemed cold in temperature and the chairs were resultantly uncomfortable. There was an odd smell that wasn't inviting to come and eat. The place was clean enough, but not a place I'm thinking of returning, especially given the number of surrounding restaurants in the Collection.

I'd been to the Erawan in Sandy Springs several times over the year and absolutely loved the food,…read moreso while family was in town for the holidays we decided to pop in to this location for dinner. First, the staff is absolutely amazing. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate a table for 10 and they were happy to oblige. We got there and they had a table ready to go and sat us right away. The waitress was so sweet and really took the time to answer questions and crack jokes with us. Truly made us feel at home in their restaurant. The food was chef kiss! We ordered the shrimp tom kha to start and spicy catfish as the main course. Both were delicious and the spice level was just right. The spicy powder and sauce on the table added a little extra for those of us that tend to like a tad more heat. Other orders at the table: drunken noodles, green curry, red snapper, duck, fried rice, and spring rolls. Everything was so good we barely had any left overs at the end of the meal. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. So glad we got the opportunity to dine with them!

We met the owner during our visit, and she is incredibly kind and clearly passionate about her food. She personally oversees many of the dishes, and it shows in the quality. Up front, Landon handled our service, and he was excellent... friendly, attentive, and welcoming. He deserves a shoutout for the great service. We ordered gyoza and dumplings to start, and both were very good. The dipping sauce they serve is not the typical soy sauce mix you find at most places; it has a sweeter profile and paired perfectly. I also ordered the chicken Tom Kha soup (it's a coconut base broth) and it was outstanding!!! Earthy, full of chicken and mushrooms, and very flavorful. For entrées, my wife ordered their red curry with veggies and it was so good! Plenty on potats that combined well with the rest of the curry meall and rice, and I tried the drunken noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly... not mushy, not overdone, but with a great texture and "snap." The portion size was generous enough that I actually had leftovers, which is rare for me. Desserts were another highlight. The mango sticky rice was excellent, very soft and well-balanced. The coconut cake was also fantastic, with a cream-cheese-style icing and a very moist interior. There are several Thai restaurants in this area, but we truly believe this one stands out above the rest. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming ownership. One important note: Google Maps randomly dropped us off you at the wrong location. The correct spot is in the same shopping center as Papa John's off Peachtree Parkway (address shows 1595 Peachtree Parkway). Highly recommended for anyone in or near Cumming. The squid pieces were charred and super chewy. I love squid, and yes, its supposed to be chewy, but not so much you can't really eat it. The mussels looked charred and gross and I did not eat it. The curry was tasty, and the drunken noodles were good enough. I think a give away that its not a traditional Thai restaurant is they dont have vinegar and jalapeño, which is pretty much at every authentic Thai restaurant. They only had vinegar. Service was a bit strange. We and one other group were eating but even with 2 staff, it was hard to get their attention. I had to walk up to them because they wouldn't come by or look over. My partner and I decided to try Tani Thai 02.20.2026 and stopped by around 6:30PM for dinner…read more First off, the interior seemed clean and well-kept. The ambiance was dark and intimate, which I appreciated -- it gave the space a cozy, relaxed vibe that felt nice for a dinner date. The music was low and soft, which worked well since most of the tables were talking pretty loudly. It didn't feel chaotic or overstimulating, and we were still able to have a comfortable conversation. Service was decent -- we were seated quickly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Here's what we ordered: Tiger's Tears ($15) - 3/5 This was the dish I was most excited about. It's described as grilled beef with chili-lime seasoning, onions, scallions, and sweet peppers. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The beef was noticeably tough, chewy, and a bit sinewy rather than tender and juicy. The chili-lime sauce was very sharp and aggressively acidic -- overwhelmingly sour to the point where it masked the savory, char-grilled flavor of the meat. It was supposed to be spicy, but as an Asian who regularly eats and enjoys spicy food, there was barely any heat at all. The dish looked vibrant and colorful, but flavor-wise it felt unbalanced and slightly one-dimensional. Basil Fried Rice with Chicken ($18) - 2.5/5 The menu labeled this as spicy as well, but again, there was zero kick. Not even a subtle warmth. It tasted like very standard, plain fried rice -- mildly seasoned, slightly oily, and lacking depth. The fresh Thai basil aroma wasn't very pronounced, and the overall flavor felt muted and underwhelming. The chicken was okay texture-wise, but the dish as a whole didn't stand out or justify the price point. It needed more heat, more fragrance, and more boldness to feel like true Thai basil fried rice. Coconut Mushroom Soup with Chicken ($5.50) - 2/5 This one was disappointing. When it first arrived, it was comforting and creamy with a light coconut aroma. Initially, it tasted balanced and mildly savory. However, as it sat and I alternated between dishes, the flavor became increasingly sour and slightly off-putting. The chicken was extremely dry, stringy, and overcooked, which made it difficult to enjoy. The broth lacked the rich, silky depth I was hoping for and ended up tasting thin, overly acidic, and somewhat flat. Thai Teas ($5.50 each) - 3.5/5 Honestly, these saved the night. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing -- exactly what you expect from a good Thai tea. Smooth, well-balanced, and flavorful. Water - 0/5 I took one sip and didn't touch it again. It tasted like straight tap water with a faint cleaning solution scent. Thankfully, we had the Thai Teas to rely on. Overall, the experience was okay but not memorable. The atmosphere and ambiance were pleasant, but the food didn't quite deliver -- especially considering how Thai cuisine is typically bold, aromatic, spicy, and layered. For us, the dishes leaned either too sour or too bland, without much balance in between. Given the prices, we were expecting more depth and stronger flavors. Not a terrible experience, but not one we'd rush back for either.

I was the only one there, which was slightly concerning at first. I was hungry, I ordered egg rolls, and then the tangerine beef and fried rice. The egg rolls are what you'd expect, crispy and texturally perfect. I like adding a touch of soy sauce to get more salt in. Helped bring out some of the vegetable flavors more. The tangerine beef was spectacular. The portion was large, and I shouldn't have eaten it all, but there was no going back. My curry was inedibly salty, and all ingredients were set separately as if I'm eating a school lunch on a tray and not a curry dish; it was evident the cook had never prepared a curry in their life.
