First time in since moving our daughter to UMass. This place did not disappoint. The food was as fresh, flavorful and the bread was soft for their sandwiches. They helped us quickly and the girl upfront was nice to answer my questions. Place is nice & clean but definitely on the small size. Even tho they have more space but don't use it. Perhaps pick ups are more popular. This place will definitely make missing California a little less hard for my daughter with their comfort food and the warmed up sesame seed balls were delicious and never had them that way!

A small, unassuming store from outside but the interior is kept very clean and tidy with everything out on display for the customer's convenience. The staff were kind and made sure to confirm our orders. Unfortunately, the food was not as impressive. While the banh mi was very tasty and the egg was a good addition, it ultimately did not taste like banh mi. Still yummy at the end of the day but definitely did not scratch my itch for banh mi. I would come here if you just want asian food in general but are not picky about authentic tastes.

The pho was good, but wasn't great. The place was clean and the service was good and fast. I ordered at the counter and sat, then picked up the food and ate at a table. I asked for extra limes and was given them promptly. Price was very reasonable and there was a good amount of meat.

Great little spot. Ate here for lunch. Looked like they get about of to go orders. Pros: reasonably priced, the pork banh mi $8.50. Quick service. Flavorful. Wrapped perfectly, didn't spill any of toppings from the sandwich. Cons: seating limited to half the restaurant. Sandwich needed a little heat, personal preference

Was looking for a quick lunch spot, tried Omi Omy and was quite pleased! It's a casual spot with banh mi sandwiches, bowls and soup. The food arrived in around 10 minutes and it was flavorful and hit the spot. Ordered: Chicken banh mi- made on fresh bread (I find this to be very important!) and filled with veggies and well marinated chicken. There were cucumbers, daikon, and carrots with creamy mayo too. I added avocado but wouldn't say it was worth it for $2.50. Not enough avocado to justify the cost. Five stars for sure! Would get without avocado next time. Chicken vermicelli- cold rice noodles topped with the same marinated chicken (yum) plus cucumbers, seasoned carrots, bean sprouts, greens, and cilantro. You can select a choice of sauce. I went with peanut sauce but I didn't think there was enough sauce for the whole serving. Overall it was very good. Next time I'll ask for more sauce. Thai tea boba- this was like a slushy where the milk and the tea were blended together. The boba were nice and soft. Not too too sweet which was nice. Omi Omy had tables outside. It was a good lunch indeed!

The food is spectacular and the service is great. I can't say anything about the ambience because I don't eat there, I order it to pick up.

So good! Such nice staff too. The rolls are the best. So flakey. Much more like French rolls than American grinder rolls.

Before the menu change, I ordered a vegan tofu reuben with their delicious slaw, called a "Cosmos."…read more It was so good, I ordered it again, thinking it was impossible for them to get it right two times in a row. They did. So I came back a THIRD time and ordered it AGAIN, just to see if they can still keep their vegan cheese melted just right on top. It was incredible, AGAIN. Now that I've gotten this out of the way, ask where it is on their new menu as it is under revision--I don't like the tempeh version as much. Onto the rest of the atmosphere of Cushman. One of the most pleasant features of Cushman Market and Cafe is that it is nestled at an important corner in northeast Amherst. You need to travel further west to get to The Mill District and not much opens there early, and there's little else I can recall in the other cardinal directions. It's a pleasant trip, with plenty of parking in front, behind, and in a strip of side road across the street. I've never been in the market, so let me keep talking about the Cafe. The atmosphere of the Cafe is wonderful, with locals, safety officers, and regulars all visiting at each meal hour from breakfast to lunch. Nestled inside what looks like an old barn, complete with doors still hanging, Cushman has memorabilia from decades of music, sports, politics, and news frozen under acrylic, different for many of their tables. The café seems to have at most 20 chairs, and the staff behind the counter will deliver it to your table, call your name, or leave other orders by a stand near the back entrance. Cushman Cafe offers a variety of meals, alongside baked goods and freshly mixed café drinks. While I'm not a fan of the switcherels, I have enjoyed their dirty Chai lattes, iced teas, fresh coffees, and free water if I recall in a pinch. They have gender neutral bathrooms--which is great if you're tired of waiting in line for one of two as they are large but single occupancy. They offer cold panini sandwiches, hot panini, all sorts of eggs, egg sandwiches, and egg breakfasts, vegan and vegetarian options, alongside a seemingly visible carnivorous focus for their new menu's default. If you had a chance to hop on a bus and travel around Amherst, or you were passing through to the highways, Cushman Cafe is worth a quick stop. I've rarely had to wait long for my meals even in busy hours, and this is because of the large and competent kitchen, who--if you'll remember--can get a delicious sandwich right any day of the week. I hope cell service returns there!

Do you love fried chicken wings, smash burgers, and Philly Cheese steak subs? I have. That's why…read moreI'm pleased to say I've been a regular customer of Royal Chicken and Kebab. Eating in their food area, making a food order with their cashier, or even using their digital menu, all are friendly, comfortable, and accommodating. They serve halal meats, too, which eases my conscience and my ordering options from their menu, including fresh and crispy french fries. What sets this place apart from a local or fast food burger joint, however, is the love for the experience of their food that Royal Chicken & Kebab offers. Receiving your food order from them is a delight. From the way each meal is wrapped, boxed, or sealed, to the way their burgers and subs look unwrapped. I recall the days I used to enjoy a messy local Philly Cheesesteak sub at whatever local sandwich shop I would be at, where the price wasn't about the love and care specifically, as there needed to be an overwhelming level of meat--like, get yourself dirty on a date level as the wrapper was soggy and flowing with cheese. That is part of a local Philly cheese experience, and here, I felt the love for the flavors brought to a wider community, if not the whole world. Here, our local cooks and chefs still make a sub full of steak, cheese, and peppers, but just enough to fit neatly and appealingly within their foil wraps. Each bite of the slightly warm and crispy bun reveal to me how much I still love the flavors of the experience, and don't need the sub to be my only sustenance. You can get your meal with a side of fries and a drink, for example. Royal Chicken & Kebab has a welcoming atmosphere, attention to detail in the quality of their meals, and has yet to let me down in price or service. I could see anyone, from families, to groups of friends late at night enjoying a meal here. Thank you for your work, Royal!
