Honestly can't believe I haven't ever left a review for this place. We were here like every week 2 months straight one time. They recognized my brothers and would just start making crunchy rolls because we always started with sushi as an appetizer lol. I'm thinking I never reviewed this place because I was trying to gatekeep lol. Every time we crave pad Thai we really mean we're craving THAI THAI. We first were introduced to Thai Thai from their location in Vista so when we heard they had a location in Santee we were so grateful! The service has always been 10/10 & obviously the food 10/10 it always kept us coming back and kept us telling our friends. It's rarely ever packed when we go in but most of the time we're waiting outside at 10:50am waiting for it to open so we're not there when it's packed lol. This is THE BEST PAD THAI in SAN DIEGO. Yessssss I said it. THE BEST It's saucy, the right spice level that you ask for & the noodles are thin. Omg I loooooove the noodles they use. The regular pad Thai noodles are too thick for me. We get a spicy level 8 regularly and 10 every now and then and if I don't feel the steam coming out of my ears I honestly don't want it lol. Also, their Thai tea with boba , sooo delicious. I could really go on but I think you all get it.

Service is always great here! It was Thursday night and there was no wait. The curry is on the sweeter side but they do load it up with protein! The green curry is also loaded with bamboo shoots. This place does fill up on occasion and is a casual but great sit down spot.

While there are many different Thai options to choose from in Santee, unfortunately Thai Thai doesn't stand out too much. It's not to say that it's a bad Thai spot - with a hefty portion for what you get. But with that being said, the flavor wasn't all there. I found the pork to be a bit bland and not the rich succulent flavor I have been accustom too. But with that being said, if you've followed my reviews for a while, you know that we all get our "off days" and this rating can absolutely change with time! And I hope it does! Because those portion sizes are incredible!

All, this place looks really nice, one thing I don't like is the fact that there are no pictures on the menu, it's all descriptions only. I ordered hot green tea which they had, which always pleases me when I eat Asian food. My main dish was Pad Woon Sen with chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. It was delicious! I also ordered some sushi, a dragon roll (Shrimp tempura topped with fresh water eel, avocado and eel sauce) which I thoroughly enjoyed! We also ordered the chicken chow mein, which was excellent. For dessert I ordered the mango sticky rice. The service was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and I will be back again. And even though there were no pictures on the menu, I'm gonna give this place five stars.

5/18 visit Came in for dinner .. ordered the Sampler platter appetizer & the Panang Curry . First off - everything was overly fried from the egg rolls to gyoza & calamari rings & cream cheese won tons & shrimp tempura . When it is deep fried everything tends to lose flavor & texture . It was just very rubbery ... & dry . The curry lacked flavor & protein . The curry sauce was very watered down & lacked the savory flavor of coconut milk and had barely any protein . It was served with a side of rice . Overall , the dine in experience was decent I wouldn't come back .. their YELP check in for the appetizer is not being offered FYI and what bothered me the most was the fly & bugs flying around on my dine in .. I just expected more especially with their star rating . It's a hard pass for me to find here ever again.

Best Thai food in Santee! Huge serving of Thai tea. Favorite dish was the Boat Noodle Soup. The restaurant is nice, with amazing service. Will definitely be coming back here often.

Nestled in a small business park on Mast Blvd. This Thai restaurant has authentic decor and smells great when you enter. There isn't a ton of seating so if it's busy there may be a wait. We placed an online order for lunch and arrived before it was ready, so I purchased a coffee to sip on while we waited. Man, this coffee is HUGE!! I wasn't expecting a McDonalds size portion, but it was great and not too sweet. We got the Panang Curry Lunch Combo, that comes with a Gyoza and Egg Roll, and Chicken Sataay. the curry had a good flavor but was a little thinner than I've had at other places. Overall, it was a good meal and felt fresh and not too heavy. They are an Asian fusion place that also has dishes like Sushi and Orange chicken, so there should be something on the menu for everyone!

9/7/2024 - I was watching Feed Phil in Bangkok, Thailand and I started to crave Thai food. I ordered a Crab fried rice and Ocean Seafood. About $54 for pick up. Inside was redone, new tables and the AC was on. I don't eat there because the AC is never on. Will eat inside next time. The food was to be ready in 15 minutes. It took about 20 minutes. Well worth the wait. Fantastic flavors and lots of seafood. Use the white rice with the seafood sauce. Yum. 5 stars. Check photos out.

The place has both sushi and Thai food. The place is cute inside. Customer services is ok, not great. I checked in on Yelp and it shows that I have free spicy edamame. I showed to the services and he came back told me it's expired. In the Yelp, it didn't have the expiration date and after you redeemed, the place will click on it. If it is expired, they should have work with Yelp to take it off the offer or switch to something else. Sushi: the roll without fresh fish is good. We got crunchy roll, dragon roll and ell roll are okay. Rainbow roll is bad. The fish is not fresh at all.

Tried this spot today for a late lunch. Ordered the Panang Curry and Laarb. Both were delicious and full of flavor. In my opinion though the curry might have been a bit too sweet but still good. The Laarb flavor was spot on. Only issue I had was the cook mixed up my meat selections and switched them between the items. It was fine I guess. Will be back.

So good! I love Thai Thai. My coworkers and I come during lunch when we celebrate one another's birthdays so we have tried a wide variety of the menu (except the sushi) and have loved it all. My only WARNING is that we haven't figured out the spice level on any of the food yet. I usually can handle medium spice at other places and I get a 2/10 here and it leaves my mouth on fire. I've definitely learned to order no spice and just add the hot chili after it comes out. read more

Pleasantly surprised. We tried a few years ago and thought this place was just okay. We heard it was under new ownership or management. We received a gift card to Thai Thai and went in to redeem. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and the food was more than fantastic. My DH and I shared a sushi roll which was very good. We also got Panang pork and Orange chicken. I am so glad we found this hidden gem! Here's what we ordered -- Wonton soup - the veggies were fresh, the wontons, shrimp, and chicken were delicious and the broth was so flavorful! Yellow curry - so flavorful and we had it with brown rice which was also good. Pad See Ewe - the shrimp were firm and the veggies and sauce was fresh. I decided to order lunch for my employees from Thai Thai in Santee. The lady upfront charged me about $10 more then what it should be for 3 lunch meals. I called to ask why. She stated they changed prices. I told her you cant charge people different amount then your website quotes. She asked rudely if I wanted to come back, I told her I cant come back, im at work. Her tone was super rude at this point as if Ive done something wrong. I said you have my card, please credit it the coreect amount. She said she already changed her prices. We ordered fresh tofu spring rolls, spicy edamame, and veggie pad see-ewe. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls is perfect- it has little chunks of peanuts and isn't too sweet. The server told me to throw in a spoonful of chili sauce to make it even better and they were right. The sauce for the edamame was made fresh with diced garlic and chunks of chili, no powder. The pad see-ewe was also delicious and something about the eggs in it really added to the flavor. The rice comes served in a heart shape - how cute is that?! I tried the bacon wrapped scallops, which aren't really my thing, but they were good. On top of all the delicious food the person running the shop was so welcoming. I liked watching them attend to all the guests with so much kindness and joy. Can't wait to come back! read more

Def worth to try.. I like the sushi there and crab fried rice. Drunken noodles are ok. Pagnan curry is ok and it has some different veggies than what I normally get in other more authentic Thai food places. Service is not always great.. I guess it depends on who you get! If I were just reviewing their curry and Thai noodles, it would definitely be 5 stars. With our recent visit we had egg rolls, pork noodle soup, curry, and see ew noodles. Two of the egg rolls tasted like they had been sprayed with chemicals. It was horrible and I was honestly afraid I would get sick. The pork noodle soup was ok. It was brought to my table missing fish cake and ground pork. When I alerted the server it was missing, she told I was wrong. I checked the menu prior to leaving and I was definitely right. The soup also stated it had bean sprouts, but there were literally 2-4 of them. read more

My review of Thai Thai is long overdue. This place is amazing and I'll tell you why: First, the food is fantastic and there is something for everyone. Vegetarians and meat eaters will come together in peace to enjoy this delicious food. As for my favorite dishes, there are so many that come to mind. For appetizers, the fried tofu (comes with a sweet peanut sauce), spring rolls, and wontons are great. I fluctuate between main meals but the pad Thai with the thick noodles and the veggie lover are my favorites. You can add any type of meat to the fried rice and pad Thai which makes it customizable. You can also add "spicy" to it and the sauce is delicious yet very hot. I always finish my meal wondering when I'll get Thai Thai again because it's that good. Lastly, the people who work here (I've only seen two ladies when I've gone in) are so sweet. The first time I came in for a lunch special, the lady offered me Thai tea, which I'd never had before and now am obsessed, and gave it to me on the house. Ever since then, I always order the Thai tea! Overall, this place is a hidden gem and it's an opportunity for a fantastic meal that you shouldn't pass up! I go there so much that the lady even knows it's me ordering over the phone, lol. Looking forward to my next meal! read more

While I had polite and respectful male servers during my first two visits, my last two experiences were ruined by a specific female waitress (It's the woman who looks like she's had visible facial/nose surgery). During my most recent visit, she completely abandoned our table after bringing the food. We had to go without water refills. She basically dumped our food off, got on what I think may have been FaceTime, was speaking loudly in her language, and just abandoned our table. My husband eventually had to track down another staff member just to get our check and to go boxes. The table next to us remained uncleaned until the male waiter came out. I also observed that waitress acting perturbed and ignoring another table's request for separate checks. Because of this incredibly unprofessional behavior and inattentiveness, I cannot trust eating here again. Management really needs to address her lack of customer service. She's going to make them lose customers. I heard the table across from us saying they weren't coming back either. edit: I noticed she's actually on one of the photos here on yelp throwing up a peace sign with a customer. Management needs to let her know it's not a bar, it's a job. She should have that "friendly" energy with everyone, and she does not ! EDIT: The owner contacted me, asked me to consider removing my review. I will not. I also see several new reviews that in my opinion look a little suspicious, just saying. It's strange how the most recent reviews seen similar, and they all have a generic profile.

We've really enjoyed coming in, especially on weekends with the family. The only reason he says he won't come back is because there's no malt vinegar available. He mentioned that most fish and chip shops usually offer it, and for him it's part of the full experience. I even offered to bring our own, but he's still pretty set on it. Just wanted to pass along the suggestion because we genuinely love the food and would love to keep bringing the whole family in. Hopefully malt vinegar is something the shop might consider adding!

Decent food, service was not Great to be honest I was never approached for a new glass of water or the beverage I ordered. Not being approached when dining in is unacceptable but another thing to note is I received cold egg rolls and the lady still charged me for the egg roll appetizer. Very disappointed and DO NOT COME HERE if you are not a REGULAR. I was once the only person in the restaurant that was being serviced and watched others come in and be serviced the right way. Take care of the hands that purchase your product is the only way I know how dining experiences should be. Good Pineapple Fried Rice but not the Best, and the thing is I'm traveling from out of town but needless to say if you want a good dine in experience they wouldn't be the first choice. read more

I m current working here and the crew are awesome. I love the Ho Mok Seafood. Great spicy and most of the food here are authentic Thai . Feels like eating at home in Thailand. Some of the food are Even BETTER. Jenny!! The owner and also cooks. She is Amazing. Her 3rd Thai restaurants. And here is the one in Santee. Was heart broken when I walked in and didn't see the Sushi Cheff, the place has totally changed to Thai. Everything I ordered was go die for!!! The coconut soup was amazing.
