Nice little restaurant with quick service and friendly employees. I'm very picky about my pad thai and this is one of the few places that makes it the way I like. Stop in and give them a try.

Found this place on doordash & ordered about 20 minutes before they closed because my daughter randomly wanted dumplings lol. We also ordered the spring rolls which were super filling. We enjoyed them and the sauces that came with both were super good and really made the dishes pop!!

Nice, chill, authentic Thai restaurant that doesn't have a gazillion items in their menu but serves some of the most delicious dishes from Thailand. From someone who has lived there for more than a decade, I can say that this place is spot on from the polite and thoughtful attitude of the staff, to the lovely decorations and the soft Thai music playing in the background, to the presentation and taste of their food. If you're in the East County of San Diego, check this place out! There's plenty of free parking space and you'll definitely enjoy the food and excellent service. The restaurant appears to have clean floors, furniture, utensils, and restroom. You can also order online and get your food to go.

    Pad Thai with chicken

The hubby and I ordered Basil Thai for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by how satisfying it was. First of all, our pick up order was ready in 15 minutes, packaged nicely and piping hot. Second, the flavors were really good and those spring rolls stayed nice and crisp. The pad Thai was superb. The chicken was tender, the flavors worked well and it wasn't too spicy. My curry was very well seasoned, had a nice kick at a level 5 and I slurped it all up. My only criticism is that the tofu, potatoes and carrots were huge and could've been cut down by half the size. I know they do this do the vegetables don't turn to mush when cooking, but it made a mess when trying to cut. This place is close to our new place and we'll definitely be grabbing food yo hi again.

Food was ok. Ordered the Panang curry duck lunch special. Portion was small, curry not even enough to be soaked up by rice. Soup appetizer had good broth, but veggies did not taste fresh. Good service, but I won't be back.

Another fantastic Thai spot! I try to get similar things at every place we try and this did not disappoint. The Tom kha was phenomenal and I will definitely be back for more of that. The pad see ew with fish was the best ever. So flavorful and delicious. The pad Thai was good, about the same as any other place, but don't miss the Tom kha or pad see ew. Staff was friendly and the place is spacious, not busy.

Not too expensive and the food is amazing! Good portions for the price. The vegetables in the curry were tender and tasty.

They have a super easy online ordering system right at the table which makes things convenient. We ordered the spicy lamb biang biang noodles and the non-spicy beef pulled noodles, and both had the perfect chew and incredible flavor. We also ordered the garlic green beans, but they came out so late that we were already completely full from the noodles, so we took them to go. Thank god we did, because they turned out to be pretty salty on their own and really needed to be paired with white rice at home. Overall, an amazing spot for authentic noodles! Something I didn't love though, you order and pay through the online menu. Considering you leave a tip I don't fully understand how it works when we did this whole process ourselves. I also noticed other tables getting plates and bowls which we had to ask for. Overall, I felt the servers weren't too friendly either and seemed to rush through our table despite them standing around not seeming too busy. The food was excellent though! The soup had a great spice to it and super flavorful. The beef and onion was so juicy and addictive, the green beans were good too and had a slight kick to them.

At first, she said the order only could be done on 1 bill. And then later she compromised with 2 bills, 5 people per table. That was nice of her! I just had 2 coffees before entering so I decided to skip ordering Thai tea. But they had a large drink menu, of fruit teas and more. My friend had the lychee tea which was very large and looked super refreshing! They also came by often to top off our waters which was nice. To eat, I ordered the $16.99~, Cashew Chicken Stir Fry with White Rice. It came with onion, green onion, carrots, zucchini, bell pepper, and cashews. The carrots were beautifully cut, but a little too crunchy for me to properly enjoy in the stir fry. Everything else was delicious! I think this could definitely be shared between 2-3 people. It was a lot for me, even after a large hike. The sauce was flavorful and not overly salty. I didn't ask for any spice level, but I think I'd choose mild or medium next time. My friends ordered-- - $12.99, Dirty Fried Chicken: This had a blitz coating of lime, mint, and spices. And it was decorated with thinly sliced green onions with a side of sweet chili sauce. The chicken was hot and plump, not dry, and very much mouthwatering! Would recommend. - $14.99, Thai Grilled Chicken Salad: Grilled Chicken Breast on a bed of mixed green salad, carrots, and cucumbers with peanut dressing. It reminded me a little of chicken satay~ it smelled and looked incredible. I think I might order it next time, when I want something light and fulfilling after a hike. - $11.99, Cream Cheese Avocado Wontons (6PC): These came out piping hot and when you took a bite they were oozing. It was very creamy and when you dip into the plum sauce it's a delectable bite. A nice appetizer to share with the table. - $16.99-$19.99 (depends on what protein you get), Pad Thai: This proportion was manageable for one person. The restaurant used thin rice noodles, but it didn't clump excessively compared to other restaurants. The prices are what you'd typically see at a Pan-Asian restaurant, a few dollars more than what you'd want to spend. But these kinds of restaurants, in my opinion, are for enjoying with others. So, if you're sharing food and all that-- the price is worth it (esp with the quantity that is given). Next time, I would probably order one of their noodle dishes rather than rice. Oodles by the Noodbar has such a large and diverse menu so I would highly recommend coming in to try them out.

I know people who love this place so much that it is part of their regular rotation. Me being born and raised in San Diego without ever trying it almost felt like a crime. I finally decided it was time to pay a visit. We came with a party of five. The seating setup was a little different from what I expected. We ended up at a long picnic table style booth that we shared with another couple. It honestly was not an issue since there was still plenty of space. It was just a different concept for me. The servers were super friendly and bubbly. They moved fast too. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Char-grilled Beef, Eggroll & Cold Vermicelli Noodles, Fresh Spring Rolls, the famous Spicy Garlic Wings plus the Korean Beef Short Ribs. The Fresh Spring Rolls were good. They were filled with shrimp, thinly sliced pork, lettuce, vermicelli noodles, basil plus bean sprouts. The peanut plum hoisin sauce definitely carried them though. Add some of their chili sauce into it too. Delicious. Now for the Spicy Garlic Wings. I know everyone raves about these, but honestly, based on the ones we got, I feel like I would rather have Wingstop. They were really dry. I even asked a friend who has been here before if that was normal. Apparently they are usually not like that, so maybe we just caught them on a bad day or they spent a little too much time in the fryer. Either way, they had definitely lost a lot of their moisture. The flavor was there, but the dryness made it hard for them to really stand out to me. My favorite was easily the Korean Beef Short Ribs. They came out sizzling over caramelized onions with a generous amount of marinated meat. Great flavor. Great texture. Delicious. This was probably the one dish I would order again without thinking twice. The Char-grilled Beef, Eggroll & Cold Vermicelli Noodles were fine. The noodles were a little too bouncy and chewy for me. They almost tasted slightly underdone. The grilled beef had great flavor though. Once everything was mixed with the fish sauce, it came together much better.
