    Crispy roll

Binghamton was not a place where I thought I'd find halfway decent Thai food. Located in downtown Binghamton near their cluster of restaurants, Thai Time is a pretty nice spot that has a dining room, bar and even outdoor seating on the water if you're in the mood. The decor is nice and has the nice touches of Thai artwork hanging on the walls. The menu is eclectic - lots of Thai dishes and even more sushi. I suppose in a place like Binghamton, you want to cater to as broad an audience as possible and offer dishes that are well known to those less familiar. Good thing that both sides of the menu are pretty decent. Their drunken noodles were really good and I like the fact that they allow you to customize the spice level (I told them to make it as spicy as possible and it didn't disappoint). Sushi was also better than expected. Prices are fair and service is incredibly friendly. Parking can be a bear in the area but that's about the only downside I could think of. Great find in Binghamton.

A delightful combination of excellent food and service. We had lunch on the patio which has umbrellas to shade the tables. We shared an appetizer of spring rolls. I had their seafood pho which was excellent. We also ordered a beautiful salad with chicken and shrimp.

This place is not much to look at from the outside but you will be pleasantly surprised when you walk past the hostess stand and into the main restaurant. I ended up sitting on the balcony overlooking the Chenago river. The food was 7.5 out of 10 (it would have been 8/10 but the green mussel garlic appetizer was not as warm as I would have liked). The Babcock ocean entree was delicious. I didn't really care for The Empress "mocktail", but later found out it was the cocktail, which includes the stoli blueberry vodka (my server was new and it was an honest mistake). They ended up taking it off the bill. Overall, I thought this was a hidden gem and plan to come back in the future.

I got the spicy basil with my choice of meat, chicken, and Bangkok garlic, also chicken, as well as crispy Thai rolls. Both my main dishes came with a variety of stir fried vegetables: corn, snow peas, broccoli, cabbage, carrots. All of it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Bangkok dish was sautéed in garlic, and it was very garlicky and full of flavor. Their pho looked great, but I ordered this delivery from a hotel room, so it wasn't practical. Order was fast and correct through DoorDash. Dishes come in spice levels of low, mild, medium, hot, and very hot. I got "hot," and it was very spicy, but not unpleasant. Not Americanized in my opinion. They also had had curries, various dishes with poultry and seafood, rice dishes, and other staples. Great flavors, good value, definitely try it.

The food was good, but there were an awful a lot of fruit flys. Service was good too but took a long time for food to arrive. It was enjoyable and they played ambiance in the background. if you have the time to wait i would come here.

The food here is pretty good but quality has gone down a little. They have pretty good options. The sushi is pretty okay too.

Best when the food comes piping hot straight from the kitchen - tonight did not disappoint! Pad Thai is a heaping feast that easily ensures leftovers (yes, I have had it as a single meal). Wait staff in a post COVID world can be uneven but tonight was very smooth. Limited wines by the bottle (4-5 per color) - likely broke rules with full-bodied 19 Crimes Cab but I was happy. Summer on the patio is spectacular, inside by the bar has good vibe, corridor to the back feels like an old-school Asian restaurant in its own right.

Enjoyed the evening at Thai time with friends. The food was excellent and our server Allison was the best! Looking forward to returning.

Lousy delivery options. It took 2 hours to get to Vestal. The spicy beef salad made sick. The lettuce did not appear to be washed. So Gross.

Almost an hour wait for a single roll to-go. Price was very much on the high side. Bad choice for a lunch. Won't be back.

Was not off to a good start. The kitchen was an 'open' kitchen but they covered the glass wall with ghetto paper so it was hidden. All it meant was that we smelled the strong cooking due to the lack of ventilation. It was suffocating at times. Service: the hostess was nice. When she saw us moving around the restaurant due to dirty tables, she went and cleaned the tables. The waiter, on the other hand, seemed miserable. He didn't even greet us before asking us for our order. No pleasantries at all. Forgot our drinks. Never refilled our water even though we ran out quick early in our meal. Never checked on our table. Food: I should've heeded the prior reviews. The chicken satay was generously portioned. But so so dry. The pad see ew was not fresh noodles and the flavor isn't the standard Thai flavor. The beef in the pad see ew was hard. Jerky hard. Inedible. The Penang curry (requested mild) was spicy! Lip numbing spicy. I'm used to eating kimchi with my meals so I can handle quite a bit of spice. The flavor was off as well. Fried rice had big shrimp, oyster and scallops. But was missing the 'wok hee'. The hot wok heat. It was like microwaved rice. Never again.

We started by sharing the spring rolls, which were very fresh and as a bonus did not fall apart as fresh spring rolls can be prone to. I had the wonton pad Thai for my entree, which I was drawn to because I'd never tried it or even seen it on a menu anywhere else. The wontons were crispy and lightly filled with a cream cheese mixture. They were delicious in the sauce, which was bursting with flavour! I was debating whether I should get spice level 3 or 4 (out of 5) and decided on 3 to be safe, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spicy 3 was. There were plenty of vegetables to balance out the fried tofu and wontons. I really recommend this if you want to try an interesting spin on pad Thai. I also tried my parents' lad na and spicy basil stir fry. Those were both delicious too. We shared a chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was obviously not Thai, but we're all lava cake fans. The lava cake was just a standard issue lava cake and didn't blow me away, but it was still very good and a nice ending for our meal. Their Thai iced tea was also great! They have a smaller and more focused menu than a lot of American Thai restaurants that try to serve everything, but there's still quite a few choices. Most entrees can be made with your choice of protein, so there seems to be lots of vegetarian options, but they aren't marked as such on the menu, so I would always recommend checking to make sure dishes are vegetarian/vegan if that's a requirement for you. Gluten-containing dishes are also marked on the menu. The entrees were the perfect size for a satisfying but not oversized meal. I debated taking off a star because the service was slow, I think because they got hit by a rush of takeout orders, but the rest of the experience made up for it. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and our food was hot and fresh when it came to the table. This will probably be my Thai restaurant of choice in the Binghamton area going forward.

Perhaps you can reach out to Pat at Thai Thai restaurant on upper court Street in Binghamton and get her peanut sauce recipe? It is superior to any we've had. The grilled shrimp appetizer wasn't grilled but appeared to be done on a flat top. Cooked, not grilled. My Pad Thai was different than any I've had. Rice noodles were thinner and would stuck together making it difficult to eat. More like long thin rice spaghetti that needs a knife to eat. I found I was grabbing up globs of noodles without a knife. Chicken in the dish was ground having a different take on any others I've had. I liked it. Would be nice to have a spice rack when seated so we could add more spice rather than having to choose 1-5 and hope for the best. For the price they should give you extra napkins without asking and ice water when you sit down. I've never had Pad Thai as good as at the Thai Thai restaurant I mentioned earlier in Binghamton. I hope you reach out to Pat and get her recipe for that as well. It's the best! I always get chicken and shrimp Pad Thai there and it's the best we ever had. Delicious! As far as ambiance at the taste of thai, the place has none. Only a ladies room at the entrance, men's room closed. We'll go again in a month and hope they take our advice.
