Thrilled to report that the Vietnamese restaurant from the Staples plaza moved to Main Street in Binghamton in Dec 2020 (yes it took me 18 months to figure that out). Bruce and Julia have relocated to a spot on the blue bus route and are going great guns with support from the community! Woo woo! New menu design but same favorites - my go-to is always the Spicy Lemongrass Chicken vermicelli bowl (extra peanuts please). Mild heat is plenty for me out you can get that adjusted to your taste. They now accept credit cards but there is an up charge. Ca phe sua da (iced Vietnamese coffee) is authentic but brewed in advance so you don't have to wait for the drip. Authentic ingredients. Highly recommend.

This is a pretty legitimate Vietnamese restaurant in a limited Asian food area. The prices are decent for the amount of food you get for entrees. Appetizers are a bit expensive but taste very good. The servers are very nice. It has a very "mom and pop" shop feel and the owners try their best to get you quality food. They are closed on Sunday's and Mondays to restock their supplies. I would definitely come here again to try their other foods.

Great Pho! I went here with my roommate (it's a 25-minute walk from campus, for those interested) and we ordered the summer rolls, roasted duck Pho, and fresh fish Pho. Everything was delicious. Most of the tables are deuces, though there are some four-seaters. It's a pretty intimate place, so come here with a friend or two, not large groups. We will be back!

Very authentic food. Extra delicious and fresh. I love the chicken vermicelli, less the carbs (no noodles). One of the tastiest Asian dishes I've ever had!

FYI - this place is now located on Main st in Binghamton. I absolutely love this place! The sweet Vietnamese owner makes this place even better! He comes out and chats with his customers and always has a take to tell. This is the best Pho I've ever had! I've tried pho at many places throughout NY, and this place is hands down the greatest! Very flavorful, great portions, and always fresh. I have no idea how anyone could give this place a bad rating. I've eaten some flavorless pho, but this place doesn't lack flavor. I'm a pescatarian/vegetarian, but still get the bone beef broth because that's where the flavor is at. I have ordered the vegetarian pho too, and it's delicious. The tofu is cooked to perfection, which is not the case at other pho restaurants. Their pho is served with a generous plate of Thai basil, lime wedges and bean sprouts. That is always passed over at other pho restaurants. Make sure you order the fried bread with you pho and dip it. Yum!! I've eaten at this place over a dozen times, and have never been disappointed! You can switch your pho noodles for ramen (or another type), which is awesome. Try this place! You won't be disappointed!

Bone broth chicken Pho and shrimp vermicelli. The coffee is sooooo good too!!!

It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday and luckily there were plenty of tables still available. We started with the Buffalo Brussels Sprouts which I absolutely loved! These are some of the best Brussels sprouts I've had at a restaurant. The buffalo sauce was light and not overpowering and even the blue cheese dipping sauce (which I'm usually not a fan of) was pretty mild and paired well with the Brussels sprouts. A great start! We then shared the Large Rigatoni a la Vodka and added Meatballs to it. The Large is definitely enough for 2 people. The Rigatoni was cooked well and the vodka sauce was well balanced with the cream, tomatoes, garlic, and cheese. It wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the spot! My only complaint was for ~$6, I expected the meatballs to be larger than they were. The Meatballs had good flavor but for such a large bowl of pasta, it barely makes a difference. And those 3 meatballs should be $1 each at most, in my opinion. The Side Caesar Salad was a great pair with the pasta and for ~$3, very reasonably priced. All in all, worth stopping by if you're in town!

Perhaps you can reach out to Pat at Thai Thai restaurant on upper court Street in Binghamton and get her peanut sauce recipe? It is superior to any we've had. The grilled shrimp appetizer wasn't grilled but appeared to be done on a flat top. Cooked, not grilled. My Pad Thai was different than any I've had. Rice noodles were thinner and would stuck together making it difficult to eat. More like long thin rice spaghetti that needs a knife to eat. I found I was grabbing up globs of noodles without a knife. Chicken in the dish was ground having a different take on any others I've had. I liked it. Would be nice to have a spice rack when seated so we could add more spice rather than having to choose 1-5 and hope for the best. For the price they should give you extra napkins without asking and ice water when you sit down. I've never had Pad Thai as good as at the Thai Thai restaurant I mentioned earlier in Binghamton. I hope you reach out to Pat and get her recipe for that as well. It's the best! I always get chicken and shrimp Pad Thai there and it's the best we ever had. Delicious! As far as ambiance at the taste of thai, the place has none. Only a ladies room at the entrance, men's room closed. We'll go again in a month and hope they take our advice.
