I would not go here if you care about customer service. I came here to pick up an order and the guy at the front desk was very mean and rude to me and when I try to communicate with him he acted like I didn't know anything. I don't know if it's because I'm black with dreads but I'm a nice guy and I never cause any trouble when I'm there and I always get dirty looks from some staff there. Not saying it's a race thing for sure but I just wanted to make it clear no one should be rude to customers or treat them like a idiot or look at them differently, regardless of color. What's even crazier is I called the restaurant as I was leaving today and the same guy who was rude to me answered the phone and I told him I wanted to speak to a manager he said that they wouldn't be back till tomorrow. We found Thai Time after a bad experience. My son and I left a restaurant at high time for lunch. We were the only customers and the lady there acted as if she didn't want us there. We googled restaurants nearby and found Thai Time. They seemed happy to serve us and our server was gracious. The food was delicious. I had crunchy chicken, my son had curry and we both had TomYum soup and pork egg rolls. Beautifully served on beautiful tables. I ordered takeaway so I can't speak on the interior or the service as far as being served but the guy taking orders seemed nice. To start I got the chicken wontons, they were good but left something to be desired so I most likely wouldn't get them again. We got the Pad Thai (spicy level 4) and the Massaman Curry (spicy level 2) from the restaurant. They were prepared pretty fast. The people who work there seemed really friendly. The food wasn't anything crazy, it was standard but delicious. I've gone to a few NYC Thai restaurants and in my opinion, this restaurant lived up to the day-to-day Thai restaurants there. They don't do anything fancy with their dishes, we got just what we expected, a standard Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. The only thing was that my boyfriend wanted more Pad Thai, but he said that was maybe because he was hungry. We were really happy with the experience. The lady working there initially thought one of us wanted hot water to drink when the two of us wanted cold water. She had one cold water cup that she brought over and she offered to bring us another in place of the hot water. I thought she handled that misunderstanding really well. As for the pictures I attached, I didn't include a picture of the rice with the curry, but just to reassure anyone looking at that picture, they do give you rice with it! Usually come here for lunch specials during the week but wanted to force myself to try something different on the menu. Instead of the red curry I always get, I ventured into their noodle choices, specifically the drunk man noodles. I usually get spice level 2 on my curry but opted for level 3 on the noodles. It's had the right amount of heat while still allowing me to enjoy my food. It dish came with a small side salad with a ginger dressing and I ordered the vegetable spring rolls as an appetizer. The spring rolls were fresh out the fryer hot and the accompanying sauce made it a perfect blend. Only suggestion I have is to offer the spring rolls in a smaller quantity. An order contains 5 rolls and for one person that's a lot when added to food. Other than that, I enjoyed my food. Service here is outstanding. They really look after all of their customers and I love the fact they ask about the desired heat level instead of just assuming you want it spicy. read more

My first time at Thai time was very good. Good food and good service. I got the crunchy chicken.

So let me start by saying I am basing the number of start I'm giving on all of me experiences with this restaurant not just the one this week. However this review is about my service this week. I found that the cafeteria at work was serving food I did not care for so I ordered Uber eats and got Thai Time. I ordered something I normally get in the restaurant Tom Yung soup with shrimp add and something new the Thai BBQ pork. I will start with the good. The staff had the order ready quickly which allowed me to get my lunch early. The packaging was amazing everything was tightly sealed and nothing spilled not even the soup. They also included the required utensils. Now things start to go down hill. The soup was hot with same great tease I have come to love in the restaurant but the shrimp. The poor shrimp that I paid extra for there were only 2 and very over cooked. I was feeling sad so I turned to the pork. It was not really BBQ it looked and tasted more like prepackaged food with the fake grill marks. It was rubbery and not appetizing at all. The pork was served over a bed of lettuce with fresh cut tomatoes and cucumber. However they poured the hot Thai BBQ sauce over all of this making for a soppy wilted mess. Last was the only good food in this set the rice, it was the normal rice they serve but it was good. If had to rate them on this meal alone I would give them 2 stars at best. But I have dined in the restaurant Several times and enjoyed each meal. so I have given them the benefit of the doubt on this. I would say if you're planning to eat here go to the restaurant sit down and order a meal and enjoy it. If you need food delivered or picked up, I highly recommend you find a different location. As for the physical location, the restaurant is a bit tired and could use an update and some spring cleaning. This will not stop me from continuing to enjoy the good food and service I have received at this location, but it will stop me from ordering delivery or to go again. read more

I ordered from here one day for work. It was Waitr'ed to me and to my surprise, still piping hot so that was a plus. I ate it, but I know it would probably (or has the potential to) taste better dining in the restaurant. That's why I rated it 3 stars. Not the best Thai food I've had but still worth eating. Amazed to see such a nice thai place in Jackson. Who would have thought? Located in north jackson, plenty of car parking space. Great ambience both for small and large groups. Lot of menu options that has both thai food and sushi. They serve you salad to start with in a small size bowl, perfect for me! Great dressing. I've ordered spicy basil which was great! Best pho in JXN (and it's not even a Vietnamese restaurant )! Their house soup is worth fighting for: savory, sweet, spicy. It's everything you want in a bowl of soup. Their spring rolls and egg rolls are fantastic. The Pad Thai is better than Steph Curry's 3 point shot, and they're spice levels are all worth the try (even the super hot ones). The fresh rolls wereSO GOOD, they had pork rather than shrimp which is what I am used to, but the peanut dipping sauce did not disappoint. I got the Thai Time Fried Rice lunch special and it was a little smaller than I expected BUT honestly very filling. I had asked for tofu but they gave me pork instead which wasn't a deal breaker in any sense. I asked for a 3 spice level to gauge the spice level and it wasn't too crazy so I say don't be afraid of the spice levels here! The pork egg roll was decent but the soup was absolutely delicious! Spicy and comforting. My friends got the Pad Thai with Shrimp and Drunken Man Noodles with Chicken which were all deemed delicious. The staff were gracious and super nice. This is my third visit to Thai Time. That doesn't say too much, but let me first mention it's 30 mins from my house and second, I pass three other Thai restaurants along the way. Everything I've tried has been phenomenal from the Curry's, Thai Soup (try it with noodles), Pad Thai and sushi Remember when ordering Thai food, they have a spicy rector scale 1-5. I normally can't do much heat so I ordered my soup at a level 1. It was perfect! If it were any hotter I couldn't deal. I also ordered the Beauty and the Beast Roll, it was a meal in itself, very savory! Also try: I can't remember the name but I think they are called Thai donuts. I travel a lot and rarely take the time to rate a restaurant. I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants. It's like most of them aren't even trying. However! I really enjoyed this place. It is pleasant, but not extravagant. The food was wonderful. I had the Tom Yum soup, which was very flavorful and had tears running down my face. I also had the Kra Prow with chicken at 4 out of 5 spice level. It was wonderful. The food is straight up with no oddball fillers and a decent portion for the money.
