Food and service are always amazing. They have the best pad Thai in the city in my opinion

Staff is extremely attentive and helpful. The food is amazing!! I cannot have gluten and they are very aware and accommodating for dietary restrictions. Not the best Thai food experience in Wichita. Opted for the Mushroom Lover and the Pad Woon Sen (Angel Hair Noodles). Both dishes with tofu and medium spice. The noodles were certainly better of the two, and by not that much. The mushroom lover was extremely lacking in flavor. The noodles were OK, but under-spiced even at medium. When queried, the wait staff said that we should have expected this outcome when ordering medium spice. If this wasn't bad enough; the staff were eager to take away the "spice rack" and bottle of soy sauce that was on our table. With still 45 minutes to closing time, and restaurant barely full - staff stopped by at least 4 times asking to remove the condiments. This certainly created a rushed experience. An experience when coupled with the quality of the food will not make me return to this place. read more

Spectacular red curry! I chose the tofu as the protein and it was crispy but not overly fried. My dining partners had the Basil Fried Rice (nice balance of meat, veggies and rice), Cashew Nut (sauce was light and it was a huge portion!), Popular Crab Fried Rice (crab meat was nice, flaky big chunks of white meat and generous amount). I am sorry this is not as long nor as spicy as my usual reviews. Truth be told, this is a good restaurant and I will probably come back and edit this review to make it better but for right now, just go for it! Pad see ew wirh shrimp and basil fried rice with tofu. This was one of the best thai meals i've ever had. You can tell the cooks have a keen attention to detail and the ingredients had great texture and freshness. The pad see ew was slightly sweet, while packing a great savory flavor witb outstanding heat. The basil fried rice was herby, the rice was an amazing al dente, and the fried tofu was crisp and provided a great contrast to the slight saltiness of the fried rice. Cheers! read more

I love Thai food and wanted to try this place out since it had the best ratings. We got it for takeout during lunch time and ordered a bunch of different dishes to try. Everything was delicious. I love spicy foods but they do it super spicy. Usually I get hot at other Thai places but when I got it here it was too spicy for me so I decided to do medium next time. I got it for lunch yesterday and getting it again today because it was just that good. They also have really flavorful noodles, curry, and dessert. I loved the mango sticky rice. Since we got takeout both times I didn't get to experience the service or how the environment is but I can't tell it is very family oriented and homey and comforting. The only thing that wasn't that great were the spring rolls that come with the lunch takeout entrees. Also their portion sizes for lunch are small. If you dine in you get soup. read more

I have only done carryout from here. The Drunken Noodles and fresh spring rolls were delicious. I tried the curry fried rice with tofu and it wasn't good. You could barely taste any traces of the curry powder. It was disappointing. I would return to try more of their vegan options and hopefully find more dishes as good as the drunken noodles. read more

Great authentic Thai food. Very good value and they will accommodate your desire for mild, moderate or spicy.

Another great dining experience this week! I pulled up my yelp app to search for something, not quite sure what I was going to find close by to my hotel. A quick sort of the top-of-the-line and it brought up this restaurant. I've never had Thai food, why not??! I was not disappointed and extremely happy with my choice. Rama the great was fresh, crispy, delicious! The service was great and I was fortunate to catch this restaurant and it quiet evening. Maybe because it was 8 PM? Very mediocre Thai food. We tried it out since it's the closest Thai place to us and we didn't want to drive all the way south for our usual place. We got the appetizer sampler, mango sticky rice, larb, pad see ew, and pad thai. Everything came to around $55, so it was a pretty good deal! The appetizer sampler came with two spring rolls, egg rolls, and crab rangoons. The spring rolls were okay and only had vegetables. The egg rolls were not good. They were super mushy and had no flavor. The crab rangoons were okay, not great but not the worst. 2/10. The mango sticky rice was good, 6/10. The sticky rice itself could've used more sweetness as it was a little bland. The mangos were perfectly sweet though! Not the best sticky rice I've had, but was one of the better things we got from here. The larb was my favorite, 8/10. The vegetables and sauce were great and the meat was good too. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew lacked depth and flavor. They tasted like microwave meals you get from the grocery store. The spice was there though which I appreciate. Be forewarned Thai Hot is SPICY! 5/10. I think next time we'll just go to our usual Thai place even if it's a farther drive. We got to-go, so we can't comment on the service, but the workers who greeted us were very friendly and nice. Got this for takeout for $80+ for 2 people. It was a splurge for us as we usually eat healthy. We got spring rolls (ok) fried eggs rolls (really good, fresh and crispy), pork sausage fried rice medium spice, pad Thai gang dagm( mild) the latter two were quite bland and frankly disappointing. We kept adding the sauces from the rolls to add some sort of flavor profile, but it wasn't working. I will say this wasn't as heavy or as oily as some of the quick takeout options, it seemed like a healthier option but for this price we were very disappointed. The pad Thai noodles were VERY dry and flavorless. Very little sauce and a strange cut of chicken in thin strips. I appreciate the attempt to elevate the Asian- American food selection, but we won't order from here again. read more

I got carry out for the weekend, and hoped for a little more for my first experience! Ordering was very easy. Pick up and staff were very kind! There were a lot of options- I got the drunken noodles. A lot of good flavor, however it was heavier than I hoped it would be. The portion was less than I expected compared to the price was. Delicious! I was nervous about ordering Thai in Wichita - I recently moved here from California where I had such an abundance of amazing options that were very authentic. When I first arrived in Wichita, it went to another restaurant on Broadway in midtown, where I ordered a "Pad Thai" which was practically inedible and did not resemble real pad Thai in any way I've ever experienced it in Thailand or NYC, LA, SF, Oakland, or elsewhere, no tamarind involved at all... So months later with some trepidation I decided to try again and I am so glad that I found Tiptum Thai! The food: The tom yum soup was very good and matched my definition of medium spice. I also ordered the basil fried rice which was good, but wished it had more flavor and basil. Their pad Thai is super sweet, I usually ask them to cut down the sugar. Add lime to bring out the flavor. Their "Money Bags" are essentially crab rangoon and are quite tasty, savory, but not worth the price. Just like many other Thai restaurants, they have a spice containers that they lined up from least to most spicy. The staff was polite and attentive. Each table had its own water carafe which I wish more restaurants would adopt, but I understand the importance of table service. The restaurant hasn't changed too much in the inside from the previous occupants. The restaurant is large and able to hold large parties. I'm happy to see another Thai restaurant in the Wichita food scene and believe they will thrive. read more

Randomly found this place via DoorDash. I am a FOREVER FAN!!!!!!!! Can't WAIT to try this place again. MILD chicken pad Thai, sweet coconut rice, and Thai milk tea. All of this was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!!!!! Today was my first time trying this place & it was to DIE FOR!!!!!! The pad Thai was perfectly balanced. Everything you'd expect from Thai. I chose not to add the peanuts. It gives it a crunch. It would be good with some lime too. The sweet coconut milk rice was extremely sweet. I love sweet things so this was right down my alley. Used to be our favorite Thai, however the past TWO visits have been horrible. We had a pickup order approximately $100.00 worth containing approximately $27.00 of it alone was for their money bags . We got the order home NONE of the three orders had ANY filling just air. I called they said I had to bring back. 20 minutes one way... I returned all three and even opened one in front of staff. They gave me three more orders. When food came out I said let me check these ... And WOW same Nothing, I started to open another the lady was mad and told me Stop just take money back for the money bags . Fine couple moths went by we went and again order $100.00 or greater. Food was bland not what they usually do, and moneybags did have the cream stuffing this time but we're not good, consistency was runny, and tasted off. There are not many restaurants in Wichita where you can get top quality service. This restaurant is definitely one. The wait staff were extremely professional. The menu was quite varied, with many specialties. This is not a Thai restaurant that serves only Pad Thai. The only drawback was that the recipes are prepared authentically with fish sauce. I believe next time my husband will ask them to hold the fishy sauce. read more
