Combo #3 General chicken, fried rice, egg roll, crab Rangoon
    Anissa C.

This is some of the best Asian food I've ever had! I was looking for something in NW Wichita that was fast and reasonably priced. Vo's kitchen exceeded my expectations in every way. Staff was very friendly. Food was exceptional! Many people were waiting for take-out. They were so busy, but the food was prepared quickly. Best crab Rangoon ever! The egg rolls were so flavorful. The general chicken was excellent! Highly recommend!

Vo's is like a take out with seating. Kung pao beef was big, tasty, tender, and crunchy. I forgot to order it hot, however it was hot enough. I like it hot. It had book choi and water chestnuts which seems unusual but good. They don't serve you other than bringing you food to your table. The Asian places I wanted to eat at are closed on Mondays. So I settle for here.

Food was hot and delicious! We were needing a place like this in my area. I wish their hours were open longer.

The food is good, it's basically grandma thuys 2.0 with a sit down area. Still has the same o.g cook working that wok.

This place has some great food. Portions are decent but you can tell the quality is at a higher level.

Let me start by saying - we were super pleasantly surprised to find a Szechuan place in Kansas. Secondly, the spice wasn't too spicy, so it's more manageable. And lastly, for 10 people, we shared 10 dishes, and it came to only $150.... plus tip, we were still less than $20 a person! That's amazing... that's probably only 5 dishes in NJ/NY, at most. Favs: - Stir fried cabbage, a little spicy but solid. - Veggie lo mein was a hit with the kids, didn't even get to try it. - Egg fried rice was solid, good flavor, enough soy - Hot & spicy fish fillet in chili oil was excellent, not too spicy - Beef in hot sour broth - probably my favorite with the sour pickled veggies - Braised eggplant w/ garlic & chili was solid Just ok: - Braised pork was fatty, and the sauce wasn't as savory as I wanted - Sizzling beef - a little too long on the sizzling plate made it hard by the time I tried it, so probably need to revisit when the dish first comes out and the kids don't delay it - Spicy pig's blood w/ tripe & veggies was ok; I've had better versions but this included a good mix of the offal and veggies. - Potato w/ vinegar flavor - I get the feeling they probably didn't hear that we wanted the one that was spicy; this lacked that peppery ma-la kick. They ran out of the sauteed water spinach, but that's ok... we were full up! Definitely a delicious surprise and good spot to grab food. That being said, service was very slow, so make sure you're aware of that before you go in at a busy time... temper your expectations on speed of service.

The service was a bit slow and looked like they could use more help in the restaurant with host up front and serving. The food was a bit bland.. which isn't a bad thing because if we needed to sauce it up, we could to our own palette with soy sauce. I was expecting the fried rice and chow fun to have two different flavors, but it was very similar flavoring. Felt like I was eating the same thing, just different textures. Fried chicken wings was okay, a bit more batter than what I'm used to. The ambiance on the inside was a nice sit down style.

We came in as a party of five at 8:30pm, fully aware they close at 9. We ordered quickly and respectfully, excited to enjoy one of my favorite dishes: the chicken katsu. I've raved about it to friends, especially the generous portions--normally two large, pounded-out chicken breasts per order. But tonight was a different story. We ordered a bibimbap, 10 wings, a roll, gyoza, a child's katsu, tempura and two chicken katsu meals (close to $20 each). For our katsus instead of full portions, it was obvious the kitchen split one order between both plates--then handed the scraps to the child's meal, which we were told would be "half" an adult size. It wasn't even close. Not only was the portion insulting, but the food wasn't fresh. The chicken was dry, overcooked, and hard as a rock. I couldn't even bite through one piece--I had to spit it out. When we brought it up, they offered 10% off. Honestly, that felt like a slap in the face. I had just convinced people to come here based on how good this meal used to be, and instead I ended up apologizing to my guests for bringing them here and still paid for meals we weren't fully served. If you were low on chicken, in a rush to close, or just had a lazy cook that night--own it. Don't try to pass off a single meal as two. That's not just disappointing--it's dishonest. This experience was a joke. And if that's how regulars get treated, I will regular no more.

The sushi was wrapped really loosely and fell apart while I picked it up with chopsticks. My husband's beef teriyaki was good and he had no qualms on the flavor but again presentation was a little messy. Service was good. They refilled our waters and soda without issue. The food came out sporadically and was not sent out together, which left my husband waiting to eat while my food got cold (crispy rice) and then warm (sushi), respectively. Ambiance was dark and moody. Like hard to see dark; there was not enough light from the tiny candle on the table to make up for it. I get the vibe but I would opt for more light overall. The decorations on the walls were tasteful. The overhead lighting felt like they raided the outdoor patio light section of Lowe's when it was clearance in the seasonal garden section. The Tiber on the walls was nice but again felt a bit DIY. My biggest issue was with the tableware. I understand that disposable chopsticks are easier than reusable ones but honestly it would have elevated the meal a lot for me. I know it's picky but for the vibe and location it seems like it would have been an easy add.

A lot larger than I expected--could definitely accommodate larger parties. Very slow for a Sat afternoon.
