Not only is she judgement free about how tight my muscles are, but she actually pieces me back together each time I see her. Jess is great at hearing your concerns and then figuring out a way to troubleshoot your body to solve those concerns, which is truly amazing. Everyone's body is different in how they respond to certain techniques. Jess pays attention to how your body responds and is able to adjust her approach if something doesn't work one way. Perfect example, at times, my muscles fight Jess when she tries to get in with her hands/elbow so she will attack me with cups bc my muscles won't fight them (the tricks that must be done bc my body is stubborn ). Beyond glad I found Jess, she is an amazing human and she has saved my body from itself. My masseuse was Veronica, she was fabulous! My troubled areas are my upper back/neck and right lower back. She found many other other troubled areas on my body that I wasn't aware of. She helped release those troubled areas, though it was slightly painful, it was needed and also did some mild cupping to my back, without leaving a bruise. I am a personal trainer and nutritionist. I need my body to be healthy and strong for my career and my clients. I've worked with both Allan and Shompoo and both therapists have saved me from a lot of pain and relieved my body from a lot of tension. The first time I worked with Allan was after a major car accident. Somebody had hit me in the rain and my car flipped completely upside down on the freeway. If you need any massage from pre natal, to Thai / deep tissue then look no further. I've had massages w a few different staff here and I have never been disappointed. Each person really takes their time to get to know your body and problem areas. I always feel taken care of here - especially when they remember your tougher areas. Thainamic was recommended to me from someone after expressing concern for a shoulder problem I had been having for a few weeks. I was reluctant to try it at first but I'm very glad I went. It was my first time at Thainamic last evening and my session was with Mona. Everything was incredible ~ Ambiance: The massage room was so relaxing, music was perfect, the massage bed was massive and the most comfortable I've ever been on. Therapist: 10/10 . Mona has incredible skill and a wide breadth of technique~ she clearly knows the human body very well and knew when to use which technique. She combined acupressure, Swedish, cupping, and stretching and everything felt like a very smooth and integrated massage. I was in heaven! Bodywork is a necessity for any serious athlete. I go to the gym usually twice a day and can tell the difference in my movements and lifts after getting work done. We focus on training so much that sometimes we forget recovery and Thainamic has that covered. I've tried several typical massage places and they're nice for relaxing, but when I want work done, I go to Thainamic. Other businesses just don't have the recovery element, variety, and clear communication that you get from here. I've gotten cupping, deep tissue massage, Graston Technique (soft tissue scraping), Thai stretching, and Ashiatsu (foot stepping massage) among others. Ask for Jasmine! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Sometimes I like to ask why she's massaging a certain muscle a specific way and she'll readily explain the process of "releasing" specific muscle groups to get what I'm looking for. If you need her to massage softer or wayyy harder, she is definitely capable. You're wasting their potential if you go in there without a goal in mind. Let them know if your goal is flexibility, let them know if you're a powerlifter looking to make bigger lifts, let them know if you're aspiring to become a competitor. Even if all you're trying to do right now is recover from injuries ----let them know and they will help you get closer and closer to that goal using the many techniques and knowledge available to them. Immediately when you walk in, you will notice that this place is beautiful. It's giving high end spa vibes. This was my first experience with Thai massage so it was definitely different for me, but I'm so glad I went. The lady who did my massage and cupping, Renu, was wonderful! She was welcoming from the minute I walked in the door. She has a very calming presence. She listened to me when I told her what area of my body was problematic and she was very informative about other things I could do to keep my body in balance. My feet are very very ticklish and when Renu realized that she respected it and didn't make me feel uncomfortable about it. She is small but very strong, and most importantly my back feels amazing after her treatment! I'm used to being sore for a couple of days after a massage but it's been 2 days and I still feel great.
