I cannot tell you how long I have been wanting to go to this spa !! Months ago I saw the website and felt like it would be such a lovely place to go relax and thought perhaps me and my fiancé could get some quality time in as a couple and get the romance ambiance package and we almost did a few months back. I had paid for it over the phone a couple weeks in advance and made arrangements for us to come in but unfortunately that day they had to cancel our couples massage as a therapist called out but we absolutely understood. I myself do massage and working for a busy spa I know how sometimes appointments just need to get rescheduled due to employee emergencies and illnesses so it's a bit of a bummer but really no biggie. I have yet to actually be able to get us in for a massage together but I got to visit this spa for a wonderful pedicure today !! The lobby was gorgeous and they sell so many awesome skin care brands and fun items. I noticed a list of refreshments, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, you can enjoy during your visit. Many of them are an additional charge but you can have water and orange juice complimentary or my personal favorite of the complimentary beverages which was a pleasant surprise was red wine !! They had a little self serve red wine bar was a few different bottles of red wines. I personally went with the Barefoot sweet red blend and it was delightful! I also had a few glasses of water and a glass of Prosecco at an additional charge. They also showed a few snacks you can add on for an additional charge which were very tempting.. I mean roasted pecans and caramels, berries or a charcuterie plate ?! YUM! I already had reservations with my fiancé for Brick 29 after my appointment though and I wanted to save my appetite for our meal. Perhaps next time I'll indulge a little more though ;) I booked the geranium cedarwood pedicure and it exceeded my expectations, was everything i imagined and more! It was a nice long pedicure with a nice vibrating chair that can recline, a luxurious warm neck wrap, relaxing music and nature sounds in a very comfy setting. Kaila did my pedicure and she did a beautiful job and she was very friendly throughout my experience! I LOVE the ambiance here and I most definitely will be back for a variety of spa treatments. I hope to get the membership eventually to return on a fairly regular basis and I certainly hope one day my fiancé and I can come in to relax together!! read more

This place should not be called a "Spa". It has the ambience of a corner nail salon. My aesthetician greeted me as I came in with a sloppy sweatshirt that looked like it belonged to her boyfriend and was not professional. The lobby had nothing in it. It was an empty room when you walk in. The place looked cute from the outside tho- so it was a little deceiving. My facial was just ok- the aesthetician didn't seem to be professionally trained. When she asked me what skin care I used, I mentioned I'd love a product recommendation after she looked at my skin. She did not provide any information or let me know what type of facial she was giving me or what products were used. During my facial girls working there were talking loudly outside the room, which wasn't relaxing at all. I was also surprised that nothing was used on my neck or decollate. After the facial, I was told to meet the aesthetician in the lobby. She was sitting on a folding chair, talking to another gals when I walked in then she offered a cup of water. This is a really cute spa in downtown Nampa. I've driven by so many times, but just recently thought to actually make an appointment. Booked a 60 minute massage through their website and it was super easy. My massage therapist was Dianna and she was great! I loved it so much I booked my next massage before leaving. Plenty of appointment times available and it seemed there were plenty of employees to choose from. A great variety of services so I plan to check them out for future pedicures and facials. Parking is very limited and I would say that is the only downside. They do offer validated parking at the parking garage across the street, but I was able to find a spot around the corner on the street. read more

I tweaked my back and neck over the weekend, and needed to get a massage to work out the sore muscles. I made an online appt for today with Ashley. After I explained what had happened, she asked me if there were any specific areas that I wanted her to concentrate on. Unfortunately, I do not have a single good thing to say about Thalassa Beauty Spa. I received a gift certificate a few months back for an aromatherapy manicure & pedicure. The certificate was originally for Bella Mer. When I contacted Thalassa regarding my certificate, they told me they would only honor it as a $50 gift card, which does not even cover a pedicure. I decided better to use it than let it go to waste, and invited a friend to come with me for pedicures. When we scheduled we were told there would only be one nail tech, so we'd have to just go one at a time. No problem with me, we'd still be able to sit together and chat while the other one waited. Due to things out of my control, I had to bring my babe with me. I did not have a babysitter, but figured it would be okay considering many people bring their babies with them when they get their nails done. Not to mention, the friend of mine that gifted me the certificate had taken her baby with her on many occasions, and even posted on social media how friendly and considerate Bella Mer was with her baby! When we arrived, we were greeted and asked what service we were there for. Mind you, my little one was in my arms. Once we checked in, we were taken to a small waiting room with two chairs and told we would be taken back for our pedicures shortly. Up to this point, my baby was not mentioned. Another gal came into the waiting room minutes later, and was completely insensitive to our situation. She lacked an abundance of compassion. She stated that there are "no babies allowed in the spa", "people are here to relax", "bringing [my] baby was distracting to everyone", and that the spa was "not setup for that kind of noise". This gal, who's name I wish I would have asked for, said that one of us would need to "like take him to go do something" while the other got a pedicure, and then switch. She even mentioned how it made a lot of sense considering we were already booked back-to-back. She never offered to waive the cancellation fee, which would have been $130, never offered to let us reschedule & never apologized for the situation. She showed no empathy towards us at all. Distraught, I left with my baby and told my friend to go first. We would have just left, but I could not fathom my card on file being charged $130 for nothing. I went to my car and immediately got onto Thalassa's website, Facebook, and Instagram. A "No Children Policy" is not mentioned. After realizing I hadn't missed anything, and not being told babies weren't allowed, I wanted to leave with my friend and go elsewhere. Quite honestly, the situation was ridiculous to begin with, and the lack of kindness made it all worse. I called my friend and told her that we should just go somewhere else. I explained that Thalassa does not mention a no children's policy, and that we should not be charged anything, considering the circumstances. She hung up the phone and then texted me a few moments later. She explained that she was told by the nail tech that we could cancel the second pedicure with no fee, but would need to pay the $65 for the first (my friend had only dipped her feet into water, and the tech began removing her polish- nothing else was done). I decided better than the alternative, which would have been to return to receive my service, leaving my baby with my friend, and feel unwelcome and unwanted by the staff. I gave up my $50 gift card and paid the remaining $15 and we left. The nail tech said "sorry about that" as we walked out the door. Nothing else. After leaving, my friend and I discussed the conversation she had with the nail tech while I waited in the car. Apparently, this is not the first time someone has needed to bring their baby with them. According to the nail tech, she has considered discussing this issue with the owner on numerous occasions. She was aware that their website and social media platforms did not advertise a no children's policy. Many mamas have come to get pedicures, and brought children along. The nail tech was also the one that walked us to the waiting room, and never mentioned anything about my baby. When my friend was taken back to the nail room, she said that the door was shut behind her, and no one else was in the room. It was only her and the nail tech, with the door shut. If you ask me, that seems like a perfectly fine "setup" for "that kind of noise". I'm highly disappointed at the lack of empathy and sensitivity, especially to a new mama, and thought it best to let others know about my experience. To any new mamas who are struggling with the postpartum experience, need to get out of the house, pamper yourself, or even just talk to another adult, Thalassa Beauty Spa is not the place for you. read more

The massage was great. However, I like to be able to fully relax during my massage appointment. And not talk to about conspiracy theories and religion. It definitely took away from me being able to relax and enjoy the full potential of my massage. To the point about 20 minutes into it. I wanted to stop the masseuse politely. I am probably at this spa once a week. They do everything from acrylic nails to massages to facials to spray tans. I could never trust another place after being here. I booked a pedicure here for my 84-year-old (Catholic*) mom, who - as a cancer survivor and aging lady - just can't move well, let alone care for her feet. TBH - I only booked her first appointment here due to the outside ADA ramp that I saw on Google street view. I took mom to Bella Mer for her first appointment in late December, 2021. We managed to get her inside the facility and to the mani/pedi room. Once there, we realized she couldn't make the big steps up and onto a dais to get to the pedi chairs and soaking bowls. Mom panicked, and the entire staff problem-solved to find a situation where she'd be safe - moving the furniture in the room around so she could be comfortable. They even brought in a "make-shift" pedi bowl (the hot stone massage rock heater) so that my mom could soak her feet, comfortably and from a safe place. That day, April sat on the ground to help my mom with a much-needed pedicure. The compassion that everyone showed that day impressed me so much that I made another appointment for mom - 8 weeks out. On that morning, my poor momma slipped on the ice at our house and fell. I immediately texted the staff at Bella Mer, and they cancelled my appointment without a fee. We rescheduled for another appointment the next week. And as soon as we were there (more than 2 months from the earlier appointment), April remembered my mom, and had the mani-pedi room equipped to make sure my mom was safe and comfortable. I can't explain how much these continued acts of kindness mean to me and my mom. And for those reasons, I will advocate for ANYONE to do business here. * In response to an earlier one-star review made in January 2021, my mother is also a devout Christian ((Catholic)) and in all of our experiences at Bella Mer, we've been treated, simply, with true compassion. My mom has been able to freely discuss her ideas in a safe and respectful way. And truly - I've never experienced an establishment that treats its clients and staff with such compassion and respect. To me, that's not only the "Christian" way, but also good business sense. For anyone who might feel a need to take action because of that earlier review, please also consider my perspective. I contacted Bella Mar a week ago asking for an appointment for over a week in advance. I first tried to call and no one answered and the answering system said to go online or text. I couldn't figure out the online so I texted the number provided. Someone responded within an hour and said the times I was requesting were not available. I asked if they had any other times available during additional times I was able to come in and no one responded. After a week I asked again, by text, and they said they were now booked out a week past my original request. They were recommended as a high end place but this is not very good customer service for a high end establishment. I will find someone else who can answer their phone and get back to their clients. read more

My husband surprised me with a structured gel overlay manicure and aromatherapy pedicure with Samantha. It was AMAZING. The spa was dimmed, quiet and relaxing. I'm not a huge fan of having my fingernails worked on (past experiences at nail shops have been uncomfortable and/or painful, usually with bleeding nail folds) but I hardly noticed I was even having anything done because of how gentle she was. My nails were beautifully shaped and polished. My pedicure had two add-ons of a hot oil and massage, and I was so relaxed between those, the massage chair, the blanket, and the nature noises that I almost fell asleep. I can't say enough good things about Samantha, and I've already recommended her to my family and friends. Next time I return I'm hoping to try a facial! read more

I am a business owner here in the Treasure Valley and the way these business owners run their business is embarrassing, unprofessional and the fact is that without customers you won't have a business. Samantha (Business Owner), blocked my daughters number so that when we called to confirm our appointment the message said this number is no longer in service. We thought they closed down. We then texted Adriana (because she text us so we had her number) and she confirmed our appointment and said that was weird that we could not get through to the business line. The business owner later admitted that she blocked our number. The reason ? Great question. For the 2nd time this year when we showed up for facials and a massage they were not able to do our massages as employees had called in sick. The previous time we came back another day to get our massage and understood it happens. This time we were told after our facial that an employee called in again therefore Adriana brought in a male massage therapist, that does not work there. It had been made clear at every appointment we made that neither or us are comfortable with a male therapist. Adriana should have asked us if we were ok with this. We choose to rebook and wait for females to be available, which we did. The owners said that due to us not allowing the male therapist to massage us that we caused her staff a lot of anxiety. Samantha never called and asked our side of the story and sent us a text basically blaming us for her staff being stressed out. She stated that she is very protective over her staff and will not allow customers to treat her staff in this manner. REALLY? My opinion is that without customers you will not have a staff to worry about. We did not ask for a discount, ( we did use a 20% off coupon that was emailed to us from the previous time when we had to come back for our massages), and the Owner stated she gave us a discount out of the kindness of her heart,(Wrong) , nor die we treat Adriana bad (in fact we were very nice to her), or ask for anything for our inconvenience in having to come back another day. We both decided to just find another Spa to go to and Samantha said "Good luck, there are not many in our area". She also said she would appreciate it if we would not contact her employee Adriana going forward. We certainly will not be contacting Adriana or Bella Mer Day Spa and will spread the word of how they favor their employees over paying customers. read more

Meh. Overpriced. I'm not usually hard to please but if I'm paying $70 my expectations are a little higher. I got the la Bella mer pedicure. I was ready to be pampered. The pedicure area seemed like an afterthought to the spa. The chairs weren't high back so I couldnt fully relax. The area was cluttered and not super relaxing. The bowls for the pedicures are tiny, couldn't barely fit my feet in. (Like the size of a standard bathroom sink but shallow) I hardly got to soak my feet because they were small. Had to perch my food on the edge of the bowl instead of leaving it in the water to soak while my other foot was being worked on. Had to balance my legs on a stool to get the callouses off. The pedicure would had been 10x better if they had a normal sized nail salon bowl and better chair. Burned my foot with the callous remover. Not super thorough cleaning cuticles. Left nail polish on my toes that I'll have to fix when I get home. The paraffin wax was nice. I don't even know if I got the seaweed mask to be honest. Overall, the lady who did my feet was super nice. meh pedicure and way overpriced - kind of shocked what I got was worth almost $70. Don't recommend for a pedicure. Maybe their other services are better. read more
