I've been getting my nails done here for 3 years straight now, I see Henry every two weeks. I'd say 3 years is a pretty long time! Everyone who works here is extremely professional and kind. The shop is clean, well ventilated, always has cute decor and fun videos playing while you're getting your service done. I come to Henry because he literally is the best nail tech I've ever had work on my nails before - he's consistent, and VERY fast! My nails never break, and my paint rarely chips. It's great to have someone I can rely on to make my nails look perfect enough to forget about! Everyone who works person who works here does an excellent job, though. So I booked this appointment 2 days in advance. They were super helpful over the phone and were respectful. When I showed up for my appointment which was on a Saturday at 2pm I was seated right away. The lady (wish I would've gotten her name) was super sweet, fast and well I liked how well she did my nails. I know I got a simple color but it was highly satisfied, I got a fill and had a nail fixed. Price was reasonable. The vibes were very very chill, place was clean. I highly recommend this place. Went in the get my acrylic nails removed and get a gel coat on my natural nail. They used another nail to go under the acrylic and rip them off. When I started flinching from how bad it hurt the lady laughed at me. After getting a gel coat not even 2 hours later they were already chipping. By day 3 the gel completely peeled off on every single one. Horrible service. Also they were unkind and ignored me throughout the whole appointment. The only time they really talked to me was to rudely tell me I was looking at the wrong nail polish colors. read more

Just was in in the last week after following a nail tech that moved to another location. (Out in Eagle, so needed a quick appointment as it is a closer drive.) This is not the same business as before, no longer as clean, a new owner & all but one tech that I remember from before. I could not communicate very well with the man that was doing my pedicure, he was rough and really not very tidy applying the polish. He did not even remove all the old polish. I tried several times, as politely as possible, to point out what I thought would make a better service, but to no avail. I am not one to get pushy, so I just let it go and figured "oh well, I do not have to return." First of all, I am not any nail tech's favorite customer. I have a tendency to bite my nails, I am totally new to all of this, and I have no idea what I want. The girl I got was very patient with me. I showed her some pictures and they didnt have the exact powder shown. So she gave recommendations on the best way to achieve it and executed beautifully. I changed my mind on small details a couple of times and she just went with it. Loved the end result! The only reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is that she just wasn't very friendly and spent the whole time talking to her coworkers. It didn't make for a bad experience but I was there alone and obviously couldnt be on my phone or anything. I work in customer service so those little things are something I value. read more

I was in Boise for a few months and i have tried a few other places and it aways came out uneven and ugly even though i usually only do one color! But here at A nails & spa i did not have any issues ever! I have been here three times and i got different people each time but they were always efficient, respected what i wanted in terms of length and how much buffing i wanted on my nails. I felt a bit bad asking them to do a complicated design the most recent time (today), but they pulled through after a few retry's for each layer of the cloud looking ones. Actually looked really good!! (: Also very nice people, one time i came in there were a lot of people already being worked on and four people queuing to get help and they all worked together to get everyone in and out! The worst cuticle infection after getting a pedi here. The guy pulled too much off, I saw him pull out a long white string of cuticle. A few days later it was super infected and painful. It's costs me $300 in medical bills since I'm in between insurances this month I also went in for almond shaped nails and they come out ok. The same male tech was not even looking at what he was doing, he looked like he was in a bad mood and was over filing super rough to where it hurt and the nails look crooked. I was super bummed that I got the worst tech there, I'm sure the other ladies are more gentle and pay attention to detail. read more

The minute I sit down she calls everyone to come take a look at my nails and they are examining them like it's a circus. I had on XL nails that I wanted off. And the entire time they just spoke to each other in their language and laughed in my face. Not a single time did she speak with me. I asked her if she was able to remove them for me, otherwise I could go somewhere else and I got no response she just aggressively grabbed my hands and started clipping them off. Then they started to remove my nail with another plastic nail under the nail I already had. I could've done that at home if I wanted to experience the pain! Then she decided to get up mid removal and start doing a lady's pedicure with nothing else being said. So I sat in this chair with no explanation. The nail lady next to me decided to finish removing them for me. And once she got done she told me, In her exact words "wash your hands and your done, do not come back here again" To which I responded "I will never be coming back I promise you that" She got angry and yelled something in her language to her coworkers. as I walked out the door leaving no tip. They are lucky they got paid at all and still have jobs with how rude and disrespectful they are, I am in the beauty service industry and I would never treat a client the way I was treated today. Often if she is busy Henry will step in or assign another tech to remove the top coat. Often I am in and out of there within 30 to 45 minutes and that includes removing the top gel coat. I went to get my nails done today (June 22nd) and I was so impressed with this place. First off it was super easy to get an appointment. Got three full sets done at 5:00!! My friends and I all left happy with our nails which were all done by different techs there. I really should've gotten the name of the guy who did mine. He was so awesome. Every step of the way he stopped to make sure I liked them and I never had to make any changes. Even through the language barrier the staff was so friendly and kept cracking funny jokes while staying professional. My nails are exactly what I wanted them to be. I got home and hit my thumb so hard opening a door I thought for sure the nail would pop off, but not even close! It's still intact! I can tell these will last me a while. Like I've said before- best nail salon in Boise. I scoured the city for a year and a half before finding them. Today I got a gel mani and regular pedicure and Tracy blew me away! The efficiency, price, quality of job, and how they treat you is the best I've experienced in the city. Best nail salon that I've been to in Boise. They got me in immediately without an appointment. I was impressed with their efficiency in doing my nails, although some people may want a longer massage. I was alright with the length of massage today. I pay attention to how my technicians clean my cuticles... like I said - thorough, yet efficient. Shoutout to Mary for a great looking, flawless paint job. See pictures! There is no polish on my skin and it covers my whole nail for each nail. I didn't get the name of the girl who did my pedicure, but her paint job was flawless as well.
