The service was friendly and reasonably fast given how busy they were. Now for the Stars of the show the Pho biet was amazing. Some of the best I've ever have. The broth was absolutely incredible. Very flavorful. The portion size is enormous. The picture is about 5% of the pho and maybe 15 to 20% of the rice dish. We split portions of both the rice is some of the best fried rice I've ever had beats anything I've ever had in Chinese restaurant apparently the Vietnamese use fish sauce instead of soy sauce. The beef was perfectly cooked the rice slightly aldente but perfect. The only problem is it's across town from me, but that's probably a good thing or I might be there three times a week

The restaurant has an eclectic, mismatched décor that felt more cluttered than charming. Combined with the sticky menus and food scattered across the floor, the space had an overall dirty feel. The pho was served with lemon wedges instead of lime. When I asked for lime, the server looked at me without saying anything and walked away. She eventually returned with lime wedges, so I assume she heard my request. The pho itself was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Service felt rushed, and the staff seemed too busy to be attentive. It gave the impression that stopping by our table was an inconvenience rather than part of the dining experience. Given the restaurant's strong reputation and glowing reviews, I expected a much better overall experience.

The restaurant was suspiciously empty for a Saturday afternoon, besides us there was another family dining in. But, I did notice they were pushing out a ton of to go orders, so that's a good sign. Our servers were so polite, and offered insight on some of the popular items on the menu. We had the chicken pot stickers and they were good. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet, which was absolutely delicious! The broth was prefect, you usually have to doctor pho up to get it to taste right, but that was not needed with this pho. I have to say this is the best pho I've had to date!!! The broth was simple yet flavorful, the vegetables were fresh, and the meat was tender. Everything was delightful. Service was great, the food was fresh and delicious. We agreed that we would definitely come back. What a great hidden gem.

Now once you arrive, you sit down and they take your order as opposed to ordering yourself at a kiosk like before. They did add some things to their menu but unfortunately got rid of a lot of things, including our favorite bowls which is why we went there a lot. They added calamari which we love but unfortunately these were not the best. No flavor. Vietnamese coffee was strong and sweet. They got rid of their rice bowls and anything "created your own" the noodles bowls only come with cucumbers, sprouts, lettuce, noodles and protein of you want. Before you fould customize it and add a plethora of things to it which we loved and was very filling (refrence my older pics posted). Unfortunately the noodle bowl was just lacking with the minimal ingredients offered and it was not very flavorful at all. Upon learning these new changes, I don't believe we will be returning.

Summer rolls, quail, noodle dishes, pho, and of course the beef and broccoli that I am constantly telling people to order. Once again, it delivered. Tender beef, great flavor, huge portion, and everybody at the table immediately understood why I keep talking about it. This is the kind of restaurant that works best when you order a bunch of dishes and let everyone try a little of everything tapas-style. The portions are generous and very shareable. The staff here is also genuinely helpful. They made recommendations for our table, checked in often, and kept everything moving smoothly even with a larger group. Another underrated bonus is the parking. They have their own lot, which in Charlotte honestly deserves appreciation all by itself. Easy access too, especially if you are coming from the freeway or busy parts of town. If you love Vietnamese food, this place is absolutely worth adding to your regular rotation. Great pho, great noodle dishes, friendly service, and consistently delicious food. Life is too short to not eat well. Get out there and eat your way through Charlotte.

It's not even a joke. 10 out of 10 stars ^ Overall, Saigon Palace (CLT, NC) I have to give a 6.0 stars mostly for the generosity of the portions and delivering genuine authenticity. Outside of that..... the Crab Rangoons was literally just cream cheese and stale as fuck and that was actually super upsetting.

The inside was larger than I thought as there is also seating in this kind of hidden back room. The lighting, for dinner time at least, was really moody and warm which offered an intimate but modern atmosphere. The service was friendly and quick! Our water was constantly refilled. My friends and I did family style and got the Dry-Fried String Beans, Coconut Shrimp, Ube Cheesecake, Mango Sticky Rice, Thai Chicken Wings, Takoyaki, Crab Rangoon Roll, Szechuan Spicy Wontons, and Basil Popcorn Chicken. I heard that the appetizers are better than the entrees here and that was so true. All of the appetizers were delicious! The Thai Chicken Wings were had this nice crunch despite being coated in this Thai sweet chili sauce. The Crab Rangoon Rolls tasted different than usual crab rangoons, possibly because the filling tasted more like stringy crab meat rather than chunks? Still really tasty especially when paired with the yum yum sauce. I loved the Basil Popcorn Chicken, especially when dipped in the yum yum sauce. You can really taste the five-spice powder. The pieces were a bit large for popcorn chicken, but I did not mind. I was shocked (in a good way) by the Szechuan Spicy Wontons. Extremely flavorful, especially when dipped in the sauce. As for the entrees (which all came with a bowl of rice), the Coconut Shrimp was weird. The batter was extremely thick and hard to bite into, which was unfortunate as the shrimp and coconut sauce itself were delicious. I did enjoy the Dry-Fried String Beans, though. It was in this nice garlicky sauce, plus the beans were sautéed very nicely. I thought that the deserts were okay. The Ube Cheesecake needed more cheesecake and the Mango Sticky Rice needed to be a bit sweeter for my preference. All in all, this is a solid restaurant! I was skeptical because of the terms "Asian fusion" but my worries washed away with the food. The appetizers are a must have here! I would rate this spot a 4.5/5 stars if I could.
