*review is based on reply to AI find-a-business conversation only*…read more TL;DR: weren't able to do a simple alteration (due to a quality that i noted in the AI chat message sent over to them) that another business had no problem with, BUT they were quick to reply and told me no without having me come in im not sure how simple of alterations they do, but it seems to be simpler than the surrounding businesses' usual. i was requesting a simple side take-in of a polyester dress with mesh overlay (notated in the AI message sent out), but they were unable to do it. for background, i am an intermediate-level DIY seamstress, with a grandmother who runs a sewing/alterations store (a state away which is why i reached out to businesses here). this is a pretty simple alteration, so i was surprised when they said they could not do it. i drove to the closest alterations place that was open, and they had no problem with the dress fabric regarding the take in (i showed the dress before i bothered trying it on to make sure) i am attaching the details yelp provided to the business as well as the conversation. the only additional thing i added to the AI was the part of the side seams with zipper in the back, maybe altering cups (after i responded to them saying that, for the other businesses to see that information) im not sure if this is a review more so on the business or AI feature. i will say- they were quick to reply and did tell me no, rather than having me come in and telling me no or potentially messing up the dress.

While the facility is clean and the staff is wonderful, I am giving this a 4-star review instead of a 5-star because of a frustrating issue with the dryer timers. ​Whenever you open a dryer door to pull a few items out early, the timer keeps ticking down. You end up losing precious minutes that you paid for while the machine is paused. I have mentioned this before, and I really hope the owner can find a way to remedy this so the timer pauses when the door is opened. ​Aside from that issue, the facility itself is great. It is about two years old, filled with excellent new machines, and kept incredibly clean. I also appreciate that when the owner adjusted the dryers to 10 cents a quarter, he lowered the washing machine prices from $5.75 down to $5.00. Another big plus is the late hours, with the last wash at 8:00 PM and closing at 10:00PM ​The absolute best part of this laundromat is the staff. There are three ladies who work here, including Elena, who opens in the morning. They are the heartbeat of this business and work incredibly hard. ​Recently, the owner seems to have secured a new hotel contract because flatbeds and trucks have been arriving loaded down with massive trailers of dirty laundry. Even though their workload has easily tripled, these three women don't skip a beat. They keep the place spotless--constantly wiping down the machines inside and out, cleaning the dryers, and keeping the floors immaculate--all while being warm and friendly to everyday customers. ​Because the laundromat is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, these ladies are putting in long, demanding days, with Elena often working past her shift to handle the commercial laundry. I truly hope the owner recognizes their dedication under this heavy new workload and rewards them with a well-deserved raise. A favorite silk dress that had a oil stain on it for 5+ years, just could not bring myself to throw it away after many attempts to fix it. I even forgot to mention the stain when dropping it off. The second item, my favorite jacket that like a moron I wore to the stables and practically ruined. I took the pants back to them to see the chemical quarter size burn on the side of the pants. I asked to speak with the owner - he called me the next day but accused me of damaging my pants. He said his notes in his file that his employee made - said there was damaged when they were received. When I told him no way because these are pants worn to the office snd are not used to clean house. When I asked why wasn't I called if they saw the damage especially since it was so profound and a chemical burn- he said it was not his policy - he was rude, and accusatory. He then said dry clean items are washed! I told him I did not want my clothing washed ! I bring them to the dry cleaners to be dry cleaned. This was the 2nd time their customer service has been unfriendly, rude and unprofessional. The 1st time was when I asked the manager about a new employee's overcharging for 4 items. She was arrogant, and rude. I thought she just had a bad day. I've done business with this cleaners for more 6 years but no more. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and their customer service and care is arrogant. I've spent a lot of money at this business on a monthly basis - but no more - if they paid for the pants -it would have been 1/12 of what I send with them annually. You've been warned. Beware !
