The last time we were in Rome, we came to That's Amore, and this time we had to visit again. This is a lovely restaurant not far from the Trevi Fountain and just off the Via del Tritone. Definitely put this restaurant on your list to visit. We stopped in for lunch without a reservation and were lucky to get a table. The restaurant filled up quickly. I suggest you make a reservation so that you do not have to wait. We normally order their pizzas because they are thin and heart shaped. Today, we decided to try their pastas. What a great choice, we enjoyed pasta Carbonara (a classic Roman pasta dish with a sauce made of pork cheek, egg and pecorino cheese - all tossed until the sauce is creamy and delicious) and "Grandmother's Lasagna" (a specialty of the Emilia region, home-made lasagna made with meat sauce, tomato and fresh mozzarella). Both were delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Our total bill for the two pastas and water was only € 31. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

This was our favorite meal the whole time we were in Roma!!! I am so glad I stumbled across this place on yelp. Hands down the best fettuccine and homemade lasagna EVER!!! The focaccia bread was to absolutely die for as well. This meal was so enjoyable and it is such a cute little place too. With a name like that's amore what more could you want?! I highly recommend this place and wish we would have found this place before our last night in Roma cause we definitely would have eaten here multiple times to try different things. I can't wait to go back to Roma and when I do you know where to find me!

Although the restaurant name may sound "tourist-y", this place is absolutely amazing! Great service and truly authentic Italian cuisine. Absolutely worth the wait! Great for both lunch and dinner and we would absolutely eat here again!

We have gone back to That's Amore 3 time during our stay in Rome. We're so pleased with both food and service.

This was our favorite restaurant in all of Rome. We came back each night during our stay in Rome. About £60 for a pizza, 2 pastas, and a bottle of wine. Very reasonable prices for such excellent food and great service! Make a reservation for an easier visit.

Everything was delicious! I had the ravioli. Very small space between tables. They squeezed us in even though we didn't have reservations.

My wife and I were worried that this restaurant was a chain-type place due to the name. However, we spoke to a couple as they exited and they said it was great. We decided to give it a try and wow were we in for a treat. The place has a good atmosphere and the food was amazing. I had the fillet with pepper sauce and grilled potatoes. The Mrs had risotto with mushrooms. OMG. Amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and the price was for the 2 meals, a bottle of Viognier, and a bottle of sparkling water was $75US. Definitely recommend if you are in the Trevi Fountain area!

This place was perfect. Was worried at first that it was too touristy (literally 3min walk from the Trevi Fountain) but after the meal, my mind was made up. I'm in love! Staff was the kindest I've experienced here in Italy & the food was DIVINE. I would recommend to get a reservation though, as this place can get busy!

Loved it. Best pizza ever! Light crispy crust with garlic flavor. Also had the Linguini with black truffles and Mushrooms. Excellent! Like the Caffe Latte as well. Menus in English - easy to understand.

Margarita pizza with cherry tomatoes, so much flavor!

All tourist, you cannot make reservation. Food was good, but over priced. Very busy and crowed even during the week.

By the time we were seated, dozens of people were waiting behind us. We sipped an Aperol spritz and lemonade while we waited, chatting with fellow diners who raved about the restaurant. On a sweltering day, our kids were starting to struggle in the heat when the owner came outside and gave them mini pizzas breads. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Once seated, we ordered burrata, cacio e pepe, amatriciana pasta, pork chops, and fried artichokes. Everything was excellent, but the amatriciana was the standout--rich, savory, and unforgettable. The cacio e pepe was silky, the burrata fresh and creamy, the pork chops juicy, and the fried artichokes perfectly crisp. There's a reason people line up for Da Enzo. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere lively, and the hospitality remarkable. Without question, this was our best meal in Rome and one of our most memorable restaurant experiences.

The tomatoes were fresh and juicy but the burrata was a bit thick (referring to the outer aspect). Also the bread was a bit tough. The amatriciana was good, but not worth a 2 hour wait in a line, 7.5/10. Pasta was perfectly al dente, but the sauce wasn't anything to die for. I think you can get a very similar possibly better pasta in Rome without the wait. My girlfriend got the gnocchi pasta, which she said was a 7/10. The gnocchi was great, but again the sauce wasn't anything special Tiramisu, 10/10. This was amazing. It was sweet without being overpowering. The ladyfingers weren't soggy, and had that strong espresso taste. I would come back here just for this dessert. Also if you don't like cramped spaces, probably not the best spot. I could hear the people next to me better than I could hear the person across me haha.

Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing meals of our trip to Rome. I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful--everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. We have absolutely no complaints about the service. The food, however, was very underwhelming. The Margherita pizza was undercooked, with dough that was still soft and not fully baked. The chicken dish tasted more like a simple stew and lacked flavor, and the lasagna was just average. Another red flag was that all of our food arrived within about five minutes of ordering, which made it seem like everything had been pre-made rather than freshly prepared. We rarely leave negative reviews, especially when the staff is so friendly, but we chose this restaurant specifically because of its exceptional reviews. I think it's only fair to share our honest experience so other travelers have realistic expectations. While the service was excellent, the food simply didn't live up to the reputation.

Super pizza place with a lot of other great stuff on the menu…read more I looked with envy at the other tables who were enjoying spectacular plates of spaghetti with mussels. * * * That said, my pizza was a grand slam home run. Many of their pizzas are quite elaborate With all sorts of exotic ingredients. I went super simple. Gorgonzola. Mozzarella. That's it. Just enough Mozzarella to cut the Gorgonzola and make for a good melt. * * * If you have never had a gorgonzola pizza, you have never lived. Just sayin'. * * * P.S. My lovely wife got a Norwegian salmon pizza. The Norwegian salmon was stacked up high on her pizza As if she was in the World Series of Poker and she was a big winner. I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. The woman at the embassy assured me the Norwegian salmon supply was fine. That surprises me given all the salmon that was on my wife's pizza.

Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.
