Do not use this business unless you need a simple service like an oil change or minor maintenance…read more I was not familiar with auto shops in this area as a newer resident, and a neighbor recommended them. I was initially impressed with the free towing of my pickup when my starter went out. It was repaired with no problem. However, I took it back to Greer when I had some other issues with my truck due to overheating. I was told I needed a new intake manifold, so I was quoted $1500. Then I received a call that it was going to cost more, around $600, due to labor hours, because they ran into issues. So long story short, the truck was not completely repaired correctly, and I had to keep putting antifreeze in it as there was a leak somewhere. So, someone must not have known how to work on a Ford because now I have a blown head gasket, and the vehicle is dead. Since Greer's mechanic had the engine completely torn down to fix an issue, everything should have been checked. In my opinion, they threw it back together when they "ran into issues" and did not know how to fix a Ford. All someone had to do was let me know what the problem was, or if it was more than they could handle.

For the price: he was less than what AI was telling me other places charge within the area. I never felt like I didn't know the status of my vehicle, I never felt like I was in the dark, and I never felt like I wasn't "family". I have already recommended this place to my family up here, and a lot of friends in the area. Hands-down, Steve's is the best mechanic I've ever had the blessing to run into. The. Worst. Shop. In. Town…read more Dropped our van off for repairs on Thursday evening. They changed the oil filter housing, new breaks and tie rods. Said they would have it done by the following Wednesday. Wednesday comes, no car, no call. Friday we called to check on it said they be were still working on it and they would have it ready by Monday. Monday evening still no car and no call. Wednesday afternoon. No car, no calls. Thursday morning we called and asked what the problem was and they said they were just taking it down off the lift. Paid for their services almost $2000. Get the car back and it's leaking power steering fluid and the boots are knocked off of the CV joint and they claim they didn't touch it. And won't fix it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE OR YOUR MONEY TO THESE FOOLS!
