One of the things I didn't know about Dover until I moved here was that it gets VERY windy. Windy…read moreto the point that a 40 mph gust SLAMMED my door wide open as I was getting out. I was unable to close my driver door properly afterwards, and I had to push it slightly down in order for it to fully shut (at least it sealed shut when I closed it). I went to a shop who said that my door hinge was broken, and tried to weasel me, telling me it would cost $125 per hinge + labor (even though they are about $45 each at the Subaru dealership). After more frustrating inquiries, one of the shops that didn't do bodywork referred us to Domino's. My husband spoke with (I think) the daughter of the owner at Domino's, He told me he had a good vibe from them and felt they wouldn't screw us over. Domino's was able to fit me in later that day for an estimate, and they were even willing to cut their lunch break short so I could go during my lunch break. Within 30 seconds of my arrival, I was introduced to the co-owner Walt. As we walked over to my car, I explained to him my story about the wind and how I thought the car door hinges need to be replaced, etc. He asked me to unlock the car. He opened up my driver door, inspected the door frame and door for a few seconds, halfway closed the door so that there was only a little space between the door and the door frame and perused that. He then opened up the door wider as if to get into my vehicle, grabbed my door with both his hands, and SHOVED the door upwards HARD with one quick swoop. He then coolly looked at me and closed the door behind him without batting an eye, and it closed PERFECTLY. He didn't even need to double-check his work; he was that confident that it was going to shut properly. This door was fixed in a matter of 20 seconds. I was floored, and said, "No way," or something to that effect. Walt had me do it myself, and sure enough my door was back to its pre-gust-of-wind- form, closing and re-closing without a hitch. Walt explained to me that the metal on the door hinges are strong, but they are slightly malleable and can change their shape if strong forces like gusts of wind knock them off balance. But Walt said that oftentimes you can bend the hinges back to their original form without needing to get them or the body frame replaced. Walt shook my hand, and told me, "Come back when you have a real problem." I said, "That's it?" I was expecting that he ask for some compensation, or tip, or something. But he replied, "We're a family-owned shop. Other places might try to hose you, saying you need to get something like your door hinge replaced [uuuhhh, YES I thought], but we don't do stuff like that. When you do have a real car problem, remember that we took care of you." He handed me his card and waved goodbye as he walked back inside. I was in and out of their shop in 5 minutes. My experience with Domino's is a unique experience as a young Asian female going alone to one of these places. After being swindled or trying to be swindled by car dealerships, car repair shops, and car inspection places, I've always had a tough time trying to deal with anyone in the auto-related business. But with Domino's, they truly did just want to do right with me. And I appreciate that a lot. I hope that if anyone needs auto bodywork done, Domino's should be one of the first places to call. Even though I've only had one experience with them, they seem to be good, honest people who refuse to be shady just to make a quick buck.

I understand it's hard to get some parts but the worst part was constant excuses. Never an apology or any bit of sympathy that my car was out of commission for 6 months over barely $5k of damage. I give 2 stars because I got my car back fixed and in one piece. I'm sure shortages and long shipping times did have some sort of effect, but I know the shop was to blame as well. Another interesting tidbit is that they don't answer the phones after 2-3pm.

I've been going about 5 years for service on my f250 6.7 powerstroke diesel had previously been…read morevery happy with this service department until my last visit. They even provide a phone number on your receipt that ask if your review would be less than 5 stars please contact us so we can resolve the issue so I called 1 week ago still no response. I used to take my truck in once a year for service, don't really drive it a lot as a diesel is rather expensive to drive but we pull a 30' 9,500lb travel trailer with it and that is why I have it. My service went from $140 to $274 this year for a oil change and they now charge $10 to rotate your tires. Had I know this I would have never went there to begin with, the excuse was oil went up $2 a quart and the price of my oil filter went up $10 now my truck takes 13 quarts of oil so $26 more and $10 increase on oil filter total is $36, so even with those increases and a adjustment for inflation there is no way a $134 increase is warranted. They also were trying to sell me fuel filters and other useless crap, had to point out to them look at your computer I did the fuel filters last year way ahead of schedule I'm still not at the mileage to change them now but last year I thought after 4 years I should change them. I put about 4,000 miles a year on this truck, it's a cream puff. They left greasy hand prints all over my truck which I pointed out at the time of service, I had to ask for a rag so I could clean it up myself. I can only assume they must have a new manager in the service department since last year, in the past they always gave me option to save me a buck or two such as "let me put this coupon code in to save you 10%" Clearly it's now about the commission to upsell you on un needed service, also I run a dashcam in my truck mostly for when I'm towing just in case of a incident and they also dis connected the power to it, it only records when the tuck is on, afraid it would record some mis deeds maybe ? A dealership service department I previously used to rate 5 stars and recommend is now worse than a jiffy lube trying to sell you windshield wipers and air filters at a huge markup, they rotated my tires but never adjusted the air pressure 75 in the front and 60 in the rear, wtf. I had hoped to address these issues with the service department manager but all you get is voice mail and no return call, I can no longer recommend this service department as it quite obvious they just want the commission on selling you filters/wipers you don't even need. It is a shame as this place used to be excellent and I won't be back you just lost a loyal customer.
