Update 4/7/2025: Moved up to 4 stars in light of discussion with management.
Spoke with management and was assured they would address the concerns expressed. While this is a quick turn around on my post, the primary reason I relocated to this building from Boston was because of Brittnay Merced. We had not had the opportunity to connect on these things, as I travel quite a bit and when not traveling, working from am to evening. Brittnay provided sincere apologies and a firm commitment to ensuring improvement where possible; however, see below for a few points I wanted to address more immediately.
Noise -- I understand the trains are beyond their control and is not meant as a reflection of performance; however, for awareness. I was also reminded that we are surrounded by 2-3 hospitals all sharing the primary roads (NY Ave and Florida Ave), so the sirens can be a bit much at times; however, there are conference and private rooms available in the common areas on the 15th floor to help avoid disturbance when working.
Traffic - Again, beyond their control and is not meant as a reflection of performance; however, for awareness.
Packages - Brittany assured their process is thorough, ensuring the security of residents' personal property first and foremost. I agreed no issue till now, that wasn't Amazon's fault. Will investigate with Amazon and circle back.
Overall - Customer service comes first for me. This above all is what I appreciated the most about living at The 202. I look forward to seeing improvement in the areas noted, and will continue to address any future concerns directly with management.

Updated 4/5/2025, after approx 1 year:
SAFETY: In the last 60-90 days, the cops have been called to this property almost every week, and/or it's sister properties (literally right next door, maybe 20 steps from the front door). There has been gun violence more in this past year, especially in my first 90 days of living here, than I have EVER been close to in my life! Not safe!!
NOISE: The train station is close, but aside from hearing the loud roaring sound of a train horn at ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT/AM, you also hear the never ending sound of sirens (police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, etc...). In many cases, I'm sure the noise occurs beyond whatever ordinance they have for sounds in residential areas during sleeping hours (2-5am).
TRAFFIC: No! No! No! Like seriously, I know traffic is horrible all over DC, but GEEZ, do you have to block the entire driveway when it's ILLEGAL?!?! And signal lights...well, those are a suggestion to the folks that drive around here...what a joke!
STAFF: Friendly?!?! -- I've met 2 or 3 that are "genuinely" good people to talk with, remaining should find a new line of work if they're not good in customer-facing roles! Like seriously...the staff is either clueless or simply do not care about anything other than what is on the phone in their face when you're speaking with them.
GARAGE: "Secured"?!?! -- Initially, started off good, when property was still "new" (May2024). For last 4-5 mos, so many people that do not have proper parking tags and/or the assigned garage opening magnetic strips to park in the garage. Nothing is enforced, otherwise, we would have more spaces.
SMOKING: "Smoke Free" ?!?! -- I think not! We literally have had numerous "warnings" about people smoking in the building, I've complained, as have others, NOTHING has been done to resolve. I STILL SMELL SMOKE EVERY SINGLE DAY, SOMETIMES TOO DIFFICULT TO BREATHE IN MY APARTMENT, EVEN WITH WINDOWS OPEN!!!
PACKAGES: These are stolen if you don't immediately come when they are delivered. While there are lockers to put the packages in, the staff are "responsible" for putting them in the lockers, not the delivery staff (Amazon, or otherwise).
OVERALL: JUST DO NO MOVE HERE!!!!! --- Not worth the $ you pay to live here, seek housing elsewhere! Trust me, you will be much happier!! read more
