And we WILL require a letter from your vet verifying the weight." My dog is under 25 pounds, but there's no way I will give this company my money. I turned around and walked out. The 4425 Apartments are the worst. No care, concern or respect for the residents...you are treated like a number. Lexi in the front office is rude and unprofessional. Do to identity theft I had to change my bank account information and I was unaware that the mandatory renters insurance was separate from my rent as they make you get it when you move in. It lapsed for 7 days, once I was made aware of the oversight I apologized, paid it immediately and brought my account current. I was still charged $100 for not having a valid policy! Unbelievable. Do not rent here! There are better places that will treat you better! I will be leaving as soon as my lease is up. read more

I recently moved out after about a year. The complex itself is fine but the people in that office are nightmares. Brandon and LaToya are terrible. The automated system they use consistently adds additional charges to your rent and those two will do nothing to help but lie and make up reasons why you're supposed to pay that extra. The apartment itself was very dark and the appliances old and worn out. My dishwasher has black mold, the refrigerator shoke and rattled and the washing machine constantly stank of old milk and mildew so the clothes would too. I ended up taking them to a dry cleaners rather than use the provided machines. Don't let the pretty exterior fool you. This place is not worth the aggregations. read more

I am so glad to be out of this apartment complex! I have never been treated rudely by any management office and have always taken pride in being a great tenant and a kind person. I would get sighs through my entire conversation with the Lexi at the front office and always felt like I was inconveniencing her. When finding another more desirable place a month and a half before my lease expired I paid up my full lease but moved out early. I made sure my apartment was in pristine shape and was told by another property manager that they could rent my unit out and if they did I would get some of my rent paid back. although this would be nice I was more concerned at getting my deposit back. When I went in to inquire about it I was told sorry you left early and will not get one back and that it goes with the unit. This made no sense to me and I asked to speak to a manager which I told I could not do but I'd get a call back from her. Four days later Lexi calls me to tell me she made a mistake and I would get it back. when asked if I would get it immediately after my lease was up she replied no they would send me a check in their own time. I did not break my lease but paid it in full and was treated rudely the entire time. Processes for key return changed all the time and most information about moving out came from a property manager friend of mine. I'm not holding my breath about getting my deposit back quickly and knowing how everything has worked so far would be suprised to receive it any time soon. Everything seems to be for their profit with little consider for the tenant. Also, after moving out I was informed they turned my heater on and have been turning on lights to show the unit after Lexi told me no one was apartment hunting at this time. We are a young family who just moved here. The process of applying for the apartment and communicating with management was great. There was kind and speedy communication, and they even went the extra mile to help get us in by talking to the screening company about our situation. When we arrived for the walkthrough, Brandon was very helpful and showed us the pool, fitness room, game room, and mailboxes. He has answered all of our questions quickly via email. The apartment was clean and well taken care of and the neighbors we have seen are very friendly. We have barely heard any noise, so I think the insulation here is pretty good. The community is safe, secluded, and beautiful. We have had nothing short of a great move-in experience! It's a blessing to have this home for our little family. read more

Beware of applying here, you will be wasting your time. We were working with Latoya and everything was going great until we did not receive any responses or calls back from her. First off, both myself and my partner put in applications and only he was hit on his credit. We were not told there would be a hit on our credit, but we're told after the fact that it was in the application contract - fine, but only he was hit and we both put in applications, nor did they refund our $56 for the second application. Secondly, we didn't ever get a call that we were denied. We had to call Latoya. We were denied due to the fact that we our currently in a lease in California - which is not illegal in any way, shape, or form. We signed a lease in California and are also going through the proper terms to get out of said lease. Finally, on our last call with Latoya, she would not refer us to the screening company, help us upend their recommendation to deny us, or give us her managers phone number. All in all, it was a terrible experience applying to The 4425 that featured many conversations with Latoya where she talked in circles and never addressed our questions. They've lost valuable potential tenants that could have paid the entire lease in full - but instead have rather taken the application fee from us and wasted Latoya's, my partners, my former Landlords, and my own time. read more

Websites states a limit of 2 pets but policy is negotiable but when I went in to inquire they reiterate the pet limit of 2 and that they would not be will negotiate despite my willingness to pay an additional deposit. I would not recommend. I'd suggest removing or updating the pet policy. read more

Terrible application process. Between the screening company that is used and the complex, they can't figure things out for people that have the proper credit, income and rental history. We lived at 4425 for 6 years before being forced out two weeks ago and given just 20 days to find a new place and move. We always paid our rent on time and never had a problem. Brandon, the manager, not only kept our deposits, but charged us $2538 for "damaged" carpets. The carpets are 6 years old and past their life expectancy. Now he is asking for $110 more to clean the blinds! Don't live here. Before Brandon took over as manager, it was not like this, but now it is not worth living here. read more

Applied for a two bedroom apartment and was given numerous excuses why we didn't qualify. Even the screening company said we qualified but Lina, the assistant manager, wouldn't stop making up reasons which we were "unqualified". She talked in circles and made up excuses she couldn't back up. Also, she enjoys talking down to people and making it seem like you are dumb. Even when we decided we would go for a one bedroom (which we were overly qualified for) she STILL made up excuses. Funny thing is my boyfriend used to live at the 4425 and they couldn't find documentation of him living there. It's just a mess of a place in management. Other than that, it's a super nice place which is why we would want to live there but management definitely ruins it and can't be trusted. I love this place. The only reason we moved is because we bought a house. Great location and decently priced for what you get. All staff are very friendly, if you have any problems, they're addressed almost immediately. I highly recommend this place! I miss our apartment. read more

If you are looking for a place to rent and call home in Gig Harbor, this establishment would be the LAST place I ever recommend. One would think that someone who is in the business of operating a complex such as The 4425 Apartment Homes, would aim to be mindful of the basic consideration of quality customer service. I have received some of the most disingenuine, fake, horrific customer interaction EVER at this location. The property management team (to be fair it was one employee in particular who I had to deal with) was patronizing and disgusting in her approach with my husband and I. We are calm, respectful, and responsible adults and this single Management personnel is the utmost rude and uneducated person I have encountered in quite some time. The morale of the story is: Do not rent here. Do not pour your money into this business. They are wasting it away with horrific customer service. Just take my word for it. read more

Ok... I moved into the 4425 LUXURY Apt homes 4 months ago and couldn't be happier! To Peggy who wrote about how awful her experience was simply inquiring about the 4425... This is NOT an accurate representation at all! Both Dawn and Jenifer, the managers are so kind, helpful, gracious, effiecient etc! Yes.. they give you a list of requirements; why wouldn't they? This is a reputable complex.... and they let you know upfront the criteria one will abide with to uphold the integrity and beauty of this complex! They don't see walk in's? Oh are they supposed to behave like this is a drive-thru facility? IF they have time, they DO see walk in's... I was one myself! I then set up a proper meeting. They set formal meetings for a REASON: so that they can take the TIME you deserve to talk to you, show you different styles of homes, explain in detail the facilities etc. Sorry Peggy. you missed out! I was a home owner for 27 years, so moving into this complex was scary for me. The staff has been nothing but perfect in everyway. Eugene the maintenece man is fun, fast, efficient and always responds. The grounds are lovely, it is CLEAN, quite, upscale, fun, homey, updated... EVERYONE picks up after their pets while walking, the gym is pristine at all times.......the list goes on and on. DON'T pay attention to the review from Peggy H.. it's NOT accurate at all! I LOVE it here, and the only place I will ever consider living again, is my home which I'm now renting to someone, or here, period. THIS IS the place to live in the Harbor! read more

I went to this complex on a Saturday looking for a 2 bedroom apt. I had searched on line and felt that the prices and the floor plans would work for me. The person who was at the office was one of the most pretentious people I have encountered. No service here! They don't see walk-ins, they shove the criteria to be a resident at you before they ever ask for your needs. It was almost laughable! Except that it was SO offensive! STAY away from this place. We went to this complex last week looking for information. The woman in the office was probably one of the most pretentious, condescending people I have ever met. She spoke to us as if we were beneath her and her complex. I really have no words for how this woman treated us. I would never recommend this place to anyone just for this fact. If you do dare to go to this place, make sure you have an appointment. That is all I can say. If you don't, they will push you right out the door feeling like a scolded child for even daring to come to their prestigious complex without an appointment. About a month ago, beginning of February, my son and his girlfriend put in an application for your 4425 apartments in Gig Harbor. There application was denied due to my son needing to fulfill the lease at the apartment where he is currently living. On February 26th, I went to the 4425 office with to see if it would be beneficial for them to have a co-signer on the application. It was suggested by an employee that they re-apply with a co-signer. They re-applied with my husband as a co-signer., a Deputy Fire Chief who has been at the same department for 25 years, property owner with a stellar credit rating of over 800. However, after a week and a half of checking on our application, submitting more information, re-checking on our application and not getting a final answer I went by their office to try to once again try to get an answer. After having a difficult time finding our file I was told that the application was again denied because of my son currently in a contract with another apartment. I was told this is the same reason they were denied the first time. Clearly having my husband as a co-signer had absolutely no impact on the application process as the reason for denial was the same the second time as it was the first. Why would it be suggested to re-apply with a co-signer if the co-signers application is not considered? And why would it take so long to give an answer on the results of an application process if the application is going to be denied with or without a co-signer? Because it is the practice of Dobler Management to rake in the application fees and deposits and put you in their spin cycle dragging out the application process and keep the money in their hands as long as possible. This system is driven by greed and is very unfair. (Even though behind the desk hangs a sign that reads "WE BELIEVE IN FAIR HOUSING". ) read more
