It's 2026 and members are still trying to awkwardly tilt water bottles under an old drinking fountain because there's no proper bottle filling station. Most of the treadmills are outdated, several screens just display static, and the stair climber that's been out of service looks like it's been sitting broken for close to a year. The bathrooms also badly need a facelift. To be fair, the gym does seem clean overall, and this review is absolutely not directed at the staff. They do a great job keeping the place as clean and organized as they can. This is more of a negative reflection on the company itself and the lack of investment into the facility. What's especially disappointing is that I've been to the Anytime Fitness in Oakhurst -- literally in the middle of nowhere -- and it's far more modern and up to date than this location. For a Bay Area gym, this place just doesn't come close to the standard you'd expect.

How were they trying to get a hold of me, smoke signals? Carrier pigeon? And I requested to change to a paid in full membership at least 2 weeks BEFORE the deal expired. DON'T TRY TO MAKE ME LOOK STUPID. YOU'RE COMPLETELY MISREPRESENTING THE SITUATION. The problem was with the pain in the ass way memberships at this gym work and the fact that I had to cancel my current membership via e-mail before signing up for the yearly membership. Unless Luke is a liar, he has to admit that I spoke to him MORE THAN ONCE about changing my membership BEFORE Black Friday. Nor did he ever iterate that it was a Black Friday special. I even called the Gilroy location to see about switching my membership over there and was told that I would have to cancel my membership at Morgan Hill first. The girl I spoke to said that she would speak to management and someone would call me back. Guess what? NO PHONE CALL. AGAIN I SAY, SCREW THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES. It's obvious that Anytime Fitness could give 2 shits about customer service. Also, when I initially joined I thought I was signing up for a single month. Luke didn't tell me that it was a recurring $60 per month membership and that you have to cancel via e-mail. When I e-mailed to cancel I noticed that they still charged me for another month. When I called to ask them why they charged me when I had cancelled, I was told that there was a 30 day grace period on cancellation. What kind of crap is that? So if you sign up for a single month, they're going to get you for at least 2 months because you have to give them 30 days before they cancel your membership. And they need to change the hours listed on the door because Luke NEVER stays until 7pm like the hours say. The latest I've seen him stay is 6:30pm. In fact, today (Friday), he bailed out at 5:30!!! The hours need to say 9am - whenever the hell Luke feels like it. EDIT: So after calling the headquarters of the company that owns Anytime Fitness MULTIPLE times, (I spoke to at least 3 different people and told them my issue with getting screwed out of a membership deal), they basically told me to kick rocks. Most of the time when you call the 800 number no one even picks up the phone. But the few times I did actually get to speak to a person, I told them my situation and they said they would have a manager get back to me. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK!!! It was on the 5th time that I called to get an answer that the woman I spoke to said that there was a note in the file that the special had expired and there was nothing they could do. So this company obviously doesn't give a shit about its customers. All Anytime Fitness wants to do is take your money. Screw this company! Interesting that when you scroll through the reviews, the owner only seems to respond to the positive ones. Further proof that this company has no idea what customer service means.

Today is Sunday, and the posted opening time is 8:00 a.m. I arrived at 8:35 a.m., and the doors were still locked with no staff present. This is very frustrating for members who expect the gym to open on time. Additionally, one of the younger employees at the front desk frequently smells strongly of marijuana, and the odor lingers throughout the gym. This creates an unprofessional atmosphere. Another ongoing concern is that several treadmills and leg machines have been out of service for over a month without being repaired. Paying members should have access to properly maintained equipment. Overall, the cleanliness and friendly staff are appreciated, but the unreliable opening times, lack of equipment maintenance, and unprofessional conduct make for a disappointing experience. I hope management addresses these issues, as they may be contributing to why the gym is often so empty.

I don't feel like I'm competing with the person next to me. Their methodology and data tracking about every workout keeps me focused on the progress I'm making for myself! I haven't even explored the entire facility, but I saw people playing badminton in the gym two days ago and know there is a pool somewhere. The lounge area in the front is huge, so you and others can relax there after a workout too.

Each and every coach is there pushing for you to be better every day. Same for all the members. I couldn't see myself working out anywhere else in the area. The gym is big and clean! There is plenty of equipment and space to accommodate large classes and still have room for some open gym time! There are even showers in the bathrooms, just in case you want to go before work. This is one of the nicest boxes I have come across. This is a great gym for beginners and experienced CrossFit enthusiasts alike. I have improved in every single skill associated with CrossFit since joining Brethren. I can tell you it is due to Lee and Daniels constant encouragement and coaching. I know this gym will help me reach my goals and the coaching staff is there to help. I find myself challenged every single time I walk through the door.

Besides a concussion, i had multiple injuries to my spine and the accident brought on bursitis, fatigue and depression. I was desperate. Depressed and I felt like a blob. For my birthday, my sister bought me a 1 month package for Pilates. She swore it changed her life and it would change mine. My first class was with Julianne and I'm not going to lie i was a thinking "really! How is this a work out, I'm not even swearing and how wil it help!" 20 minutes into the class i was changed. Not only does Pilates help with flexibility, strength conditioning but it's also physical therapy for my body. Julianne and and Angela are so incredibly knowledgeable that i Look forward to telling them about aches and pains because i know they'll make me feel better. I've also grown 1/4 inch back in my height...Pilates corrects posture! I also have my athletic daughter taking class too. She plays field hockey and track and complains of chronic hip issues. Went with a buddy to workout, didn't know I was going to a Crossfit gym. You hear the stereotype…read moreabout Crossfit - the grunting, banging of the weights, flipping of the huge tires etc... but my first experience at a Crossfit gym, this one in particular, was a lot better than I expected. Abe was very welcoming. He had us perform several exercises with no weights so he could make sure our form was correct for the workouts we were doing that day.0 There were 2 phases of the workout. First we started with several rounds of light weight excersices and stretching. This was for about 15 minutes or so. The next phase was timed (about 40 minutes) and consisted of a circuit - several strength exercises with weights and some that were more cardio focused. The timed portion really gets your competitive nature flowing and you want to push yourself. I was gassed afterwards. During all the workouts Abe was always checking in to make sure everything was good and also providing encouragement. And it just wasn't Abe, all the other members there (about 10 or so during the time I went) were all very friendly and eager to answer questions. I had such a good experience I came back 2 days later for another round - albeit sore from the previous workout but ready for more. If you live or commute around Morgan Hill and are looking to try a new workout routine or interested in trying Crossfit I would definitely recommend stopping by and speaking with Abe! You can't go wrong.
