When the entrees arrived, everyone at the table received their meal except me. The server asked if everyone had their food, and I told her that I was still waiting for my Steak Frites special. She checked her order book, said something, and walked away. Unfortunately, no one returned to update us. After waiting another 10 minutes, I encouraged the rest of my family and friends to begin eating so their meals wouldn't get cold. When there was still no update, I flagged down another server, who said they would check with the kitchen. A few minutes later, they returned and said they weren't sure what had happened but that my meal was being prepared. After another 10 minutes passed, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told there wasn't a manager available and that they understood my frustration. By this point, it was nearly 9:30 p.m., my entire table had nearly finished eating, and I still hadn't received my dinner. When my steak finally arrived, it wasn't what I had ordered. I had ordered the NY Strip Steak Frites special but instead received a 10-ounce sirloin. Again, the explanation was simply that they weren't sure what had happened--perhaps another guest had received my order or there had been a mistake in the kitchen. To the restaurant's credit, they removed my steak from the bill. However, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself--it was the lack of communication and customer service. Throughout the entire situation, no one came back to provide updates, apologize directly, or offer a meaningful resolution. In fact, my server never spoke to me directly about the issue after realizing there had been a problem; I learned my meal had been removed from the bill through another member of our party. Mistakes happen in every restaurant, especially on a busy night. What leaves a lasting impression is how those mistakes are handled. I think most of the people that I was with all got around two scoops and that was probably the equivalent of about a pint of ice cream, which was massive. The price was definitely competitive with most other places. A lot of chains, if you get two scoops, it'll cost way more money but we were very happy with this. Also the selection was very, very high so there was a ton of different flavors, a ton of different toppings. I ended up getting chocolate peanut butter as well as a coffee and delightful. I would have just liked a little bit more inside seating because it was an outdoor place but otherwise everyone I was with was very happy and I think you'll be happy too if you go here

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. The cabin was lovely, it's small but has all the furnishings you need and lovely bath amenities for both shower and tub soaking. A bit dark but lighting is fine. The quiet privacy was immeasurable. The main lodge has plenty to feel taken care of- fire pits (bring your own wood), coffee and variety of pods, games, rocking chairs, lovely porch. They absolutely made us feel welcome through and through when checking in and getting our cards- it's a lot of local tourist info but they made it very manageable. Breakfast was the real super treat- menu didn't change over the weekend but we could try different things. The spinach egg bake was PHENOMENAL but also very huge so come hungry! I thought their eggs generally got overdone so be very clear if you want soft eggs. We are not morning people but we made sure to get up and have plenty of time to lounge with coffee, juice, and the perfectly cooked sausage! This isn't a place you spend all day in generally but it's walkable to some spots and an easy drive around to the touristy spots for a lovely vacation!
