This thrift store is fun and has a large selection. Prices and sales were also good. Service at the counter was friendly. The area is cute, cozy, with fresh air, and feels touristy, but like forest and camping tourists. I'd totally recommend shopping here but give yourself a lot of time. read more

I really adore all the front register cashiers is especially this one lady she always is smiling always singing. She makes my kid smile and she always gets through the line quickly even if there's a long line, I don't worry about it because I know that she'll get through everyone she's always efficient and she's very sweet. She knows all my kids by their name and ask how they're doing every time I come to the store there's not many cashiers that really know their customers but she does and it really does make it feel homie a very truly local store. I love employees like this because they really do care and it's not just a job to them we need more singing cashiers in this world. read more

This is a fun place. Halloween decorations were 75 percent off after Halloween. Wasn't terribly impressed with men's clothes. Couldn't find anything in women's either. But nice selection of stuff we all had in the 1980's. read more

I used to donate and also buy stuff, until I was surrounded by people from this church where I live, also had three as tenants. Not sure which character was worse, these folks were all excommunicated from the Ben Lomond Church, almost all of them. I understand why. I will never go there, I will never donate again. And as I see from others who commented it seems to be broken junk and over priced. I give them less then one star if I could. read more

It's Okay. It's big and it's full of mostly good things. It's pretty neat, clean and well organized. All the employees I came in contact with were kind and helpful which is just that. So I think their prices are a bit wonky, items like the Italian planter I bought was crazy cheap and a used up pair of running shoes was over ten bucks. But maybe that's just the business of thrift. Wouldn't call it a thrift store, more like a wannabe antique store. Outrageous prices that equal that of antique markets. Store smells awful, rarely find anything anymore because staff pulls all the good stuff and sells it online. Every now and then I find a book but that's it. I don't recommend. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I've shopped here for many years, brought tons of people here, and always said good things about this place. I don't know if management changed or what happened, but when you ask to speak to a manager the most unprofessional, rudest person you could ever encounter comes to help you. They need better lighting and to allow leashed dogs. It is a rural area and people tend to spend time there and have their dog aboard.

I went there with various items from myself and friends, the guy outside taking contributions was rude, and barely looked at the table, which is solid oak, new walker with tags, two large pet carriers, and a brand new nice folding bed frame for a twin mattress. He was just not interested in doing his job. They make money from people's donation, but I guess they want new items. read more

Haven't been for a couple years. I just went in today with my daughter who's eight, we used to buy all their little dress-up dresses there and it was such a good price always. I was astonished at how expensive they had priced all of their donations! I will not be going back, unfortunately. I really loved them. What is going on Abbott's? I have spent the last 15+ years thrifing in your store. Loved it, heck most of my vintage and holiday pieces are from Abbott's. I spent my money in your store because I knew it goes to a good cause. But since COVID, let's be honest, your prices are often more than if the item was brand new. I have found my donations in your store, priced way above what I paid for them new. Please consider evaluating both your community of donators and buyers and return to the mission of why you are raising money - for the community. Because right now, it feels like we are all getting taken advantage of especially since the quality of items your on the floor aren't what they once were. read more

Everything is way over priced for being donated goods. Used to shop and walk out with all kinds of treasures. Now it's a total rip off and a lot of items are broken. If they reduced there prices maybe items sitting on the shelf for months would actually sell. Items are priced at retail or more. Whenever my partner and I are staying at her family's cabin we make a run to The Abbot. We regularly find things we want or need. On this visit we found a replacement pot for the cabin's coffee maker at The Abbot. It was on a sale day. Two bucks. In the past we got Audubon bird prints, antique photos, books, etc. There's a lot of stuff to pick through that may not be your thing, but thrift shops are like that. I'm at a 4.5 stars for Abbot's Thrift. I really do enjoy shopping here. Most of the time I don't find anything. But the day I was on a mission to buy a unique end table for my living room, I found it! The prices are low, I purchased my item in a heartbeat. They have an where you can leave your purchased item while you grab your car. I don't have much luck in the clothing section. So I walk back to the back and look around. They accept furniture, camping gear, clothes, jewelry, pictures and more. Happy thrifting my fellow Yelp friends. read more

My favorite local thrift shop! I always find something on an Abbot trip. Great selection of furniture and house wares. Their clothing selection isn't as wide as other places but what they have is always fun to search through. The employees are always helpful and friendly, and their prices are great. I found a large (had to tie it to the roof of my spouse's car) wood shelving/drawer unit once for only $25! If you buy more than one piece of furniture or find something unmarked they're always willing to cut you a deal too. A must do for anyone that loves a good thrifting day. read more

Thrifting is like finding gold - sometimes u work hard to find it and sometimes it just keep coming (I think. Like finding a vein vs some river wash. Right? Maybe more like winning the lottery? But the smaller ones? Na. Maybe making friends? You pass by a lot of normal stuff that you don't want but you buy it anyways?) Imagine a giant barn and fill it with all kinds of interesting things with great prices. If you love books, this store has tons of books they also have vinyl and DVD collection that's pretty nice from children's clothes and toys to all types of culinary items, their lamps are practically 50% off 100% of the time, they have a dollar area and located in the parking lot as you walk in small medium to large items are one dollar. And they have bathrooms but you have to ask for the key coffee walk across the street and get a coffee at the white Raven a great local coffee shop that's been there forever And walk down to the Abbott and enjoy the show, it's a great place to just look at things and relax and perhaps you'll find a treasure read more

Gouging on donated goods is never acceptable. Worse yet, being in a location where other stores aren't readily available makes it worse! Trying to place the blame for raising prices being due to "it's for a good cause" or "that's what some other store would cost" is unexcusable! Maybe you need to get those who benefit from your shop to donate their time to bring down prices. Or simply shutter the windows, lock the doors and stop ripping people off... Spend your time looking for donations and let the goods be donated to someplace else. read more

What a fun store! Love thrifting to entertain myself, and this place delivers on some funky unique items if you are patient and dig. You will find clothing, household items, dvd's, books, some tools and sporting goods in the back of the store, just an assortment of something for everybody. Huuuuuuge thriff store with decent prices and some items totally new (never used). I did not find anything I liked (mostly was looking for pots for interior plants the cheap way that day, but they did not have any). I checked the clothes, purses, shoes...and the best was the enormous collection of well arranged denim jeans. Great job on that. The store smells like mold, so is a little bit turn off for me. I know is a thrift store but I like to enter to a clean smell. Very attractive exterior and worth a visit if you are in that little charming town. read more

The wording on the side of the building advertises "antiques, collectables and fine art" But when we stopped to take a look it turned out to be a run-of-the-mill thrift store with used modern appliances, clothing and other nothing special household items. This was a large disappointment and a waste of time for us. So if you need a thrift store stop in, but don't expect to find anything special. read more

The front desk and manager are nice, sweet people. However the guys out front need to be humbled. They get their items DONATED, and I, before today was one of the people that donated a lot to them. However will not anymore. They are very stingy on their prices even when made up on the spot and it's obviously being overpriced. Wouldn't even move down 5% in price. In addition, when donating items especially lately, their main guy out front looks through the items and chooses what to accept and not. They need to understand its donated and not garbage or poor quality/broken. When I go to their competition down the street (Goodwill), they do not pick through items like Abbot. I will not head back here nor donate items here. The guys out front make it an unfriendly experience and not just one time, many times especially of lately. read more
