Just spent a beautiful Spring day here today with my 10 & 16 year old kids. This wasn't their first time doing a ropes course, but our first time here. The first thing we noticed was how attentive and friendly all of the staff were. It's apparent that they enjoy their work and go out of their way to ensure the customers are enjoying themselves too. The safety briefing found the perfect balance of providing necessary info without being overbearing right before the fun starts. The courses are all very well laid out and offer an excellent progression as the comfort and confidence grows. There are enough options to choose from that it never felt crowded at all even though they were very busy today with the nice weather. Overall, just a simply amazing day trip and well worth the 1.5 hr drive for us to get there. We are already planning our next trip and our only regret is that it took us so long to find out about The Adventure Park and make the time to go. read more

Came on a date with my husband yesterday. We're 40-ish and had such a fun time. The variety of the courses makes the experience enjoyable for all ages, and the upbeat attitudes of the staff and visitors + beauty of being outdoors left us very happy with how we spent our afternoon. Thanks for providing such a unique activity! The kids are jealous we didn't bring them, so we'll definitely be back on a family adventure soon. :) Looks like a nice location to hang out even if your whole party isn't climbing. Lots of picnic tables, paths, and complimentary wi-fi. Note for newbies: I didn't get any pictures because I wasn't sure if my phone qualified as a "loose item." I do think it could easily fall out of a back pocket, so probably best that I left it in the car. In hindsight, wish I had brought a small sling bag or worn a vest with pockets. 1. Bring bug spray! 2. Ask to use their gloves (they sell gloves but they also have a stash behind the register that they reuse and disinfect) 3. Going with a young child? Be prepared to help even from the ground until they get the process 4. To participate in the dark - you have to get one last round in before they close to get the experience 5. Just know it's an independent course- you have to grasp the concept and go on your own 6. Only porta potty business here folks! Overall a super cool place. It's all teens and really young adults running this place. We watched a safety video that was a little tough for younger kids to fully grasp the main ideas from but then you move to a safety training area. Staff help you get the concept but for small kids its really quick and different once you get up in the trees and are by yourself. My 9 year old is very adventurous and it was her first time. She struggled a bit at first but then she got the hang of it. There was one split second she wanted to quit but she didn't. Staff helped her and then she was on the go- no holding her back! So parents be prepared for these moments the first time until hey understand the apparatus. You do have to be patient and are stuck a certain spots just like playing mini golf- the person or people ahead of you have to 'play through' per se. So if you or people in your party may not be super into heights and the thought of not being on the go is scary- not for you. I can share that the other people who were around us were super nice and helful. may daughter 'made a friend' up there and some nice young adults lend some support at tricky spots. If the business asked me how do they get 5 stars? I would suggest setting staff up with younger kids for the first few treks on the course just until they are totally comfortable. I see this as a safety measure but also great customer service. read more

Took a group of high school students here for a team building field trip to improve our student council and ultimately school climate. Each ropes course was scaffolded based on difficulty. I would even admit the green course even scared me a bit but it was really fun! After about three hours the kids and chaperones were pooped. I can say that this trip solidified student bonds, enabled them to become stronger leaders and build a ton of confidence within themselves! Seriously- it was amazing to witness as a teacher! If we have the funds again next year I will mostly definitely come again with our student council (prices are a bit steep). Such a fun experience and such great & accommodating staff!! read more

What an amazing day! 5 of my friends and me spent the day on the courses. They have 4 different levels, yellow (easiest), green (regular), blue (advanced), black diamond (YOU CRAZY) lol. You have about 3 hours to try the courses out. My friends and I did one yellow and all the green. The obstacles were fun and challenging. After a few obstacles you stopped noticing you were so high above the ground because you were so focused on the best way to get through the course. It is QUITE the workout. I was sore the next day but I can't wait to go back. The staff are all so, so nice and extremely helpful! By the time I was set loose on the courses I felt confident in what I was doing. The harness system is awesome. I felt very very secure the whole time I was on a course. I cannot recommend this place enough. It's truly a wonderful way to spend a couple hours! read more

As a UConn Alumna, one of my regrets is not utilizing this place when I lived on campus. I finally went with a group of friends and let me tell you, it was so much fun! After watching the safety/introduction video on how to use the gear, it took a bit of getting used to how the latches worked. After passing a few courses however, it was like second nature. The whole harness and latching system blew our minds. It was such a cool concept on how it worked! With a mixture of tightropes, log climbs, floating ladders, and zip lining, you get a chance to utilize many different muscles while also getting a chance to relax and zip down a line in between. My body is definitely feeling it the next day, but what a great work out it was!! I would definitely visit the Adventure Park again. My only advice is to bring bug spray! I got at least 10 mosquito bites just from watching the safety video in the beginning. But that's nature, right? read more

It really is a fun place, but I would like to focus on the staff. I didn't catch all of their names, but the afternoon staff on Saturday, the 5th of November were top notch. Ever single encounter with a staff member was courteous, friendly and helpful. Now the meat and taters. My son got stuck on a blue diamond course. Within a few minutes a staff member introduced herself to me (Ivy I believe) and was ready to assist. SHE REVERSE ZIPLINED LIKE A BOSS to quickly get to my son. By this point he was completely exhausted and some radio chatter later *BAM* in comes Mason (I believe his name was). BOOOOOM!!!! Another reverse zip line later, and him and Ivy had the most calming control of the situation. They explained every single step of their rescue to my son. Their awesomeness as a team made it so that my son was excited to have 2 complete strangers belay him from a platform. My experience with the staff alone will have me frequently brining my kids here to help them with their confidence and to have fun. read more

This is one of my favorite aerial adventure parks! I say I love ziplining, but just a ziplining course bores me so that isn't entirely accurate. I love to be challenged mentally and physically and the courses at this park do it! The first time I tried them out it was because I purchased a deal (either Living Social or Groupon) but it's worth the money even if you have to pay full price. If they offer more deals this summer, I'll definitely purchase them again, but either way I'll be back! The staff is great at talking you through any obstacles you're worried about and they also rescue people (often smaller kids) quickly and safely to try to get those behind them waiting moving through the courses again. My 8 year old daughter and I had so much fun! It was great that every course we did had 2 zip lines. The lights at night are cool and the music. The staff was prompt when my daughter couldn't unhook one of her clips and was stuck for a bit. Make sure you pay attention during the video and get the tweezling down pat. If you have younger kids the green trails they have to do it themselves on a few of the courses. read more

This place is great! I've never been to an adventure park or been ziplining, so I have no comparisons but I can tell you we had a great time and were definitely challenged. After some initial confusion with buying our tickets (staff was kinda all over the place), we got our gloves, were helped into the harness and given a safety lesson, then off we went into the trees! You get three hours and by the end, you're exhausted. The courses are interesting, challenging and lots of fun. Trying to figure out how to navigate some sections really requires balance and upper body work. We would no doubt return.... next time we want to go at night! read more

My 13-year-old is a huge fan of The Adventure Park, having visited Long Island location a few times, so while on vacation in nearby Springfield, he asked to visit this location as we had no evening plans one day. It's a well-staffed place and they are huge on safety and making sure everyone understands the rules and follows them. He did two green courses and one yellow course, and he would have loved to do more, but we all got hungry and wanted nice dinner. There are plenty of picnic tables, so you can bring food and drinks and spend more time there, which I am sure he would love to do at our local place and try harder courses. read more

A great time at a beautiful park. We attended this past Saturday first thing in the morning. The day was beautiful, the weather was comfortable and we had an incredible time. I'm 12 years old, we were at the Adventure Park yesterday. I really loved how the waiting times were short and how much effort was put into how the course was made. The Witch Haven course was a real challenge. Overall it was very fun. The staff there are very nice and helpful. I'll def come back to do the ones I didn't do. What I didn't like was it wasn't very specific on where to go when on the course - when I thought it was a zip line and a choice and I didn't know the zip line was an early exit. Hello there! What an incredible time we had at your adventure park. I have heard great things about it for years and so glad we finally made it. I hired a guide - Jesse, to lead my 10 year old daughter and 9 year old son. Jesse was outstanding. My kids will remember this day for many years because of HIM. What an amazing human; he has that special something, a way to connect to kids. My daughter has medical conditions and special needs and although she's had a rough go most of her childhood, she has always had a good attitude and never ever ever gives up. Jesse was a natural with her and she was once again able to channel her confidence and do even the hardest courses - even independently after our time with the guide was up. Her attitude and confidence has been built because of her village of specialists, doctors, teachers, therapists, good friends, AND no doubt special people that come into her life like Jesse. I don't know if she could've killed it without the support of him. Some people in this world have knack, a way about them that are lead with their heart and energy - and this is Jesse. He's an educator and a true leader. Both my kids had a truly amazing experience and we will definitely be back again and again. I'm going to tell all my friends too. A fantastic activity to do for people of all ages. I was fearful at first and very unsure about my footing on the obstacles. It was very challenging in terms of overcoming my fears. After the first course, I gained a lot of confidence and was off to the more challenging courses. I especially loved the zip line intensive courses. SO MUCH FUN! I didn't want to leave. The staff here was wonderful. They provide great training and are available to save you if necessary. We were called down due to storms in the area. They gave us rain checks for a future visit. Great customer service! I would highly recommend this park - and to get ice cream at the UCONN dairy bar while you're out this way, too. read more

My family and I visited the park on Sunday June 14, 2022. Three women in mid fifties, a mid 40s woman and a 12 year old boy. We all had a great time. The courses are a little challenging because you need to use muscles most of us don't use regularly. Still it was fun! I have had back surgery and a knee replacement. Honestly, for me, I injured myself a little when I put both feet out to stop myself on the first zip line. Having never done zip-lining I was not prepared for the jolt that occurred when I abruptly stopped. My bad. It just never occurred to me. I had to stop a little earlier than my other family members bc my back felt sore but the rest of my group did all the zip-lining they desired. There was a lot of people on the various courses but it didn't seem crowded. We had plenty of time to navigate the courses. Once we got comfortable with the safety system we were very quick getting through the courses. The safety system is very intuitive. It's a great time! read more

Our family was visiting from out of state with our daughter who has ASD. We had an absolute fantastic time on the course! There was plenty of challenge for everyone. I'd especially like to call out Laura, who went the extra mile to make our daughter feel safe and comfortable. Laura saw that our daughter was sensitive to sound during orientation, and came over to her to give her 1:1 instruction using a style that worked for her needs. Throughout our visit, we saw Laura several times and she always went out of her way to make sure our daughter was comfortable and having a fun day. Took three teenage boys and my husband to the Adventure Park yesterday for our first time. It was a very good experience. The place was extremely crowded (2 camp buses) but checking in and going through a quick orientation was pretty easy. We had preregistered the night before and signed all the waivers which I highly recommend doing as a timesaver. But one boy didn't and his mom was able to get through the reg there pretty fast. After climbing and safety orientation they have you start on the easiest course (yellow), then green, then blue, then black (very difficult!). They have 2 courses for each color. Two hours was way plenty time. And you really get more than that. As long as it's not too crowded you can go over your allotted time without a hassle. They know that there are sometimes backups on certain courses, for various reasons (young kids go slow, some get scared and need to be rescued, etc) so they were very flexible on time. This did happen on the second course and eventually our group took an "escape route" to get off the course early to avoid the continued bottleneck of climbers (young girls). Escape routes are built into some of the courses for this reason or any reason really that someone needs to exit a course early. The park has water coolers and porta-potties, a small gift shop area, and drinks and snacks you can purchase. But you can also bring your own. All in all a great experience and I think we would go back again. Would recommend to friends. Four stars because it seems unnecessarily expensive. $85 for two people for two hours (but we got more like three). read more

What a fantastic place! It's beautiful, clean, safe and so much fun. Above all that, though, is the wonderful staff. I was so incredibly impressed by how helpful and positive everyone was. My 10 year old is very afraid of heights and fearful of trying new things. This was her first time at a ropes course. Jesse spent over an hour with her, patiently encouraging and working with her to take her first step off the platform. And Ryan went through the entire course with her, encouraging and distracting her in all the right ways. My daughter left there so proud of herself and is looking forward to going back! A bird sitting on the tree has no fear of falling ... not because the branch is solid but because it has faith in its wings. So, I'm not exactly a bird with wings to help me fly away, but this quote kept running through my head during my time at the Adventure Park. Basically, by just staying confident in my abilities, I was able to move forward and put my fear of heights on the back burner. With the awesome guidance from the staff, the safety harness and a rush of adrenaline, I felt amazing after a day here. I truly felt like I accomplished something new and exciting!! The Adventure Park is conveniently nestled off 195 of off Exit 68 on I-84. It's on the way to UConn so you could hit two birds with one stone - visit the Adventure Park and then head to the beautiful campus. Prior to starting your adventure, you will have to sign a waiver (which we printed out and did at home), pay and get fitted into your safety harness. Then a member of the staff will lead you through a safety orientation and ensure that you know what you are doing. The Park is a series of platforms in the trees connected by different cable, wood, rope and zip lines. Each "bridge" is a little different or presents a unique challenge. What I really liked was that there were 5 different trails, which ranged from easy (10 feet up) to challenging (60 feet up). We did 2 different trails and probably could have fit in another one, but for our first time, we were spent. The Adventure Park was so much fun and I highly recommend visiting it before it's too cold to enjoy it. They operate by "pool and golf" rules, so they are open during light rain, but close if there are storms. Check it out, you won't regret it! read more
