Went in for St. Patrick's day for an early dinner. I ordered the pretzels and beer cheese for our appetizer. I love them. For dinner I had the bulgolgi bowl. I ordered it with jasmine rice, extra picked onions, and here's a big secret...I got the garlic cream sauce from the chicken bowl (super good). My partner ordered the black and blue burger and it did not disappoint. I also got the buttered cake with vanilla ice cream !! Love the staff, shout out to Gabe, Angie and TJ! Great place for my in laws as it's right next to their home. But a little far for us. But parking seems to be good. Nice little bar inside with some sitting areas, we sat outside which I enjoyed their patio which did include a TV so I got to see the dodgers lose. The kids meal nuggets was pretty much McNuggets which was kind of surprising. Not use to places having that texture/style but the kid was happy. She loved the fresh fruit. The pretzels are solid, seem to be the same kind that Applebees has. However the beer cheese was a let down. Was not a fan of the cheese wiz style or flavor? Also bummed it didn't include any mustard. The wife had a speciality California burger which she enjoyed with pesto sauce and avocado. I had the OMG grilled cheese which was solid and made me miss the Grilled cheese place we use to visit in San Francisco. The fried green beans was the best part tho. Very much enjoyed the snap and crunch and flavor blast of those. Service was good, we walked inside and got our refills. No real issues here but nothing overly special. Location is prime. Not more than a small walk through my neighborhood. The chicken sandwich is epic. Bacon was thick, crunchy on the ends and not too much breading on the chicken. Very crunchy and juicy in the middle. The bun was warm and soft on the inside with just a little crunch where it's been grilled. IMO it's the best chicken sandwich in Chico. The owners are hands on and the service is great. Decent selection of beer, wine. Kombucha is on tap and I was pleasantly surprised. The location is great for a neighborhood bar and grill. We walked in .. my son and my grandson. We sat at a table . No one greeted us . It was not busy. The bartender just looked at us for a second and said nothing . After a while we finally noticed a very small sign "Order here" next to the bartender . Oh so he takes our order and he let us sit there without a greeting or a hint that he will take our order . So we go over there and he acts annoyed since we didn't already know what we wanted . What a rude guy . He obviously didn't want to be there . Grumpy finally took our order and we sat back down . A fairly nice server brought us our food. It was bad . The burgers were bland and had some sweet sugary sauce and the fried green beans were the worst I ever had . A one star experience. The location is good but this place will not last. This has become my neighborhood establishment. I order the chicken taco which has a nice cheese skirt on one end and am always satisfied. They have a good enough menu and the food is good. Outside seating makes it pleasant on no nice days. It can be slow depending on how crowded it is but wait staff is friendly. Pastrami sandwich tastes good but it's not stacked a plenty like a great one should be. I gave a generous 4 stars because they're new and evolving! They have a happy hour menu now also. read more

Went with a friend for their limited soft opening menu, you order at the bar and take a number and find a seat. Their Mac and cheese (we added pork burnt ends) was fantastic! I really liked the fried chicken burger, although I should've asked for a side of ranch and some salt (I used some from the pretzels). The pretzel sticks and cheese was also very good, but needed double the amount of dipping cheese for the amount of pretzel. Will definitely back to try more! read more

First time visiting here and let me tell you I was so impressed! The outside patio is so cute- lots of string lights and fire pits for the perfect ambiance. Now on to the food- we ordered the Mac and cheese bites , the bbq pulled pork sliders and the focaccia bread board (with all 3 choices). The Mac and cheese bites were post gooey on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. They came with a chile honey that paired perfectly. The sliders were super juicy and the ciabatta buns soft. They had a super creamy coleslaw that had the right amount of acid. The focaccia bread board was the surprise of the night- it was huge! Definitely could have had it with a glass of wine and been full. It was very flavorful. Highly recommend! Such a great addition to the neighborhood. read more

Checking out this new community area eats. Clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Average sized portions. The only irritating thing was the chairs scraping on the floor! Plenty of delicious gooey mess on the pork sliders. The fried green beans were unidentifiable, but the dips were good. The beans didn't taste bad, but you didn't know if they were green beans except from the menu. Too much breading maybe? The Black and Blu burger is the best I've had in town. The bacon is cooked enough to not be sliding out and it is easy to have a bit in most bites. Juicy, fresh veggies with mayo on both buns. Finally, plenty of blue cheese, I let it be for a couple of minutes, and it melted evenly throughout. The 1 serving size of fries looks small but turned out perfect for two people. I know this business is new, but they have quite a few bugs to iron out. The service was slow and unorganized. We ordered 2 orders of mac and cheese. 1 order had way too much cheese and the other did not have enough and was very oily as if it was leftover and heated in the microwave. Fries were plentiful and tasty. My guest ordered the cheeseburger and it got "lost on hold" for about a half hour. Not too many customers so I can't blame that. Order at the register and sit with a number where they bring the food. Wait time was exactly what you'd expect for a Friday evening but not too bad. We got the pulled pork sliders which were actually pretty good, however they are advertised on the menu to come on Hawaiian rolls and they came on ciabatta bread, which is definitely not was I was hoping for or expecting so that was a bummer. The side of fries was smaller than expected and were standard for shoestring fries but definitely not fresh out of the fryer. The pub burger was unfortunately WAY overcooked and so dry and definitely the downfall of the meal. The burger was really salty/greasy. The pretzels were also covered in way too much salt, beer cheese was pretty good. Bf got sliders he said they were ok. We both got fries and they were good. The service you walk up and order at the bar then choose your table to sit at. The lady at the bar was not very nice. We ordered I asked for a lemonade and a water, she pointed and said the water is over there and had a bit of an attitude. Water had no ice and was not that cold. My bf went back up to ask for the lemonade we had ordered and the same lady gave him a hard time about it because she didn't add it and apparently didn't recall we had asked, because she must have missed it when she was busy pointing out where the water was. I will say the staff that were busing tables and bringing out orders were super nice and if only that was contagious to the not so nice lady. We live close by so it's fun so have something in this area. They have a nice patio, but the vibe inside is a little awkward. I'm sure it will get better. The staff is all very friendly and easy going, very willing to help. For a new place it's running smoothly. The beer list is boring and sells the same 5 beers that every other place in Chico sells. I'm sure they would get more business if they spiced up the beer list. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I had two glasses of wine. The pours were two very different amounts, both were white wine. I ordered the OMG grilled cheese. The bread was delicious and not overly toasted to where it destroyed the roof of my mouth. It very sadly lacked cheese and salt to cut the sweetness from the onion jam. Picture attached. My husband got the fried chicken sandwich which was very flavorful and the chicken was fried beautifully. The piece if chicken was small and flat so there was a lot of bun and not much chicken. Also picture attached. My daughter got the kids chicken nuggets with a side of fruit. The fruit was strawberries and blueberries. They were delicious and fresh. There was a good amount of fruit. My daughter couldn't even finish all the fruit. The chicken nuggies were BOMB. They were like healthier McDonald's chicken nuggets. Crispy, and so delicious. Same shape as McDonald's too for picky kids who only want McDonald's lol. My friend got a burger and loved it! The pastrami sandwich was also tasty. If you like the Pour House green beans, these are the exact same ones with triple the amount of green beans. They're great. The best part was the beer! Wife got the bulgolgi bowl. The rice was so mushy and old looking she said it was like rice pudding. Mac and cheese bites are about the size of tater tots. Alibi burger was served with a scorched burger and bacon that tasted like.. farts! Service was nothing spectacular by any means, up to par for a sports bar. Had a group of people outside of the fence with their kids yelling and disturbing the outside experience.
