I think these things used to be asbestos, like brake pads. I thought I would install the metal one anyway, then decided I better not. Found a list on rock auto and was able to identify a manufacturer and part number. When I called my local O'Reilly, they did not have it but quickly suggested the Del Paso store, where their inventory showed one in stock. I've never been to this store and it is easily twice the size of my local store. I believe they had five or six clerks behind the counters when I walked in. All were helping customers, with one person in line. I had a 10 minute wait. But the youngster who called me over to the counter was a stand up comedian. Or could be, if he kept his day job. He immediately questioned the veracity of what my local guys told me, "What do they know?" And followed that up with numerous comedic observations. They did indeed have the part and that kids demeanor made the entire interaction enjoyable. If my local store wasn't so good and usually stocked with what I need, I might consider going the extra few miles to the Del Paso location.
