I was initially able to communicate via text to get an idea of what my options were. Made a trip down to get a visual on my options. I just today, May 17, had a car hitch installed on my 2016 Prius at Rack N Road for a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 bike hitch rack I also bought there. I cannot praise this business too highly. I visited the showroom on Sunday afternoon, May 12, and Michael was amazingly helpful in allowing me to learn my options, and he also offered to match a discount on the bike rack offered by the REI store about two miles away. Michael ordered the hitch that day, it arrived there yesterday, and they installed it this morning in about an hour. Another guy there (I forget his name now, but he also was great) showed me exactly how to use the bike rack and he answered every one of my questions completely. Was looking for luggage rack "cross members" for my daughter's Outback. Initially called the Subaru dealership, but they were completely useless... except for one thing: they suggested that we call Rack N Road. The R&R staff was incredibly helpful -- they were able to tell us what the dealer wasn't: the Outback Limited already has the cross rails built in, you just have to unlatch them and swing them into place. Now that my daughter and I have seen this, it's incredibly obvious, but we just didn't notice until the guy at R&R explained it. I should add that he provided this help purely over the phone! You'd think the dealership would have been able to tell us this or help in some way. Thankfully, R&R staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The customer service here is great. I bought a 11/4" hitch and Thule rack for my mini Cooper years ago. Other dealers had told me that I couldn't get a bike rack for electric bikes on a mini. but these guys did it. Everything was installed quickly and worked like a charm. Update... these guys are very competent and service oriented. My Thule hullavators came loose because I take my kayaks to lakes at the end of very rocky roads. Thankfully the front and rear ropes held the kayaks on! ALWAYS use front and rear tie downs in addition to hullavators straps!!
