But the service provided by the owner, one woman bartender, and some other woman that was helping was down right rude and disrespectful!!!!!! Only two gentlemen were nice at this location. This place has no sense of manners or respect!!!!! They guests that attended the wedding were nice but that did not stop them from yelling aggressively at the guests! This place has to learn to treat people like human beings. If you don't like customer service then don't work in it!!!! Better yet, why doesn't this place just shut down, that way they don't have to deal with people period! Never ever have I been to a wedding venue where I felt so disrespected to the point where this place needs to be shut down!!!!!!!!! There is way to treat people and if you don't know how to do that then don't work in that kind of business. So, please everyone if you are looking for place that will be kind to your guests this is not the place to go!!!!

The food was incredible (we used their catering service) and the bartenders were so much fun! The owner, Cindy, is the fairy godmother of wedding planning and helped me with great referrals for our DJ and wedding cake. The reception hall is beautiful, candles and lights everywhere. They do have a smaller room for smaller parties, but we rented the entire hall and we definitely recommend them to our friends and family!

The arrival area has a lovely hacienda feel with a lovely fountain outdoor. There is a lovely outdoor patio on one side of the building with outdoor seating and fireplaces. There is also a deck on the opposite side with wooden cocktail tables to mingle and socialize. In the main building there are three different areas. The first area is a smaller casual hall that opens up onto the patio with fireplaces (which was very necessary as the temps outside turn chilly). This was the place where the service before the party was held with family and friends. This space was also used for the buffet dinner and desserts. After the service, we adjourned to the other side of the building that contains the stables for the property's horses. We had a cocktail reception in the stables and were able to make use of the outdoor patio. The main event hall is very large and easily can accommodate a large party of 200+. It is very sizable and there was ample room for a dance floor and a long head table. There is a large stage in front and things were beautifully decorated for the event. Everything looked so beautiful. Gorgeous option for parties, weddings, and corporate functions.

Mistwood was our venue for both our wedding ceremony and reception, and everything was beautiful!…read moreWe planned everything in 11 months with the help of staff coordinator Audra. In July we attended the tasting to try all the dishes and from there chose all the menu options for the reception dinner. It was very convenient to have the venue as the caterer, and as we had eaten at McWethy's, their restaurant, many times (including the night we got engaged), we knew the food would be good. Since our wedding was in November, we had both the ceremony and the reception in the Great Hall. There was another event there (baby shower) in the morning but we were able to take possession of the bridal room at 2:30 pm and the other group had cleared out by then. My now-husband and his team of friends who were helping set up said the staff did a good job of quickly flipping the venue from the baby shower to ours. My only quibbles with the venue pertain to the bride room. There was only one lit bulb in the chandelier, so lighting was poor; no hangers in the closet; they provided us with a samovar of water upon request, but it leaked all over the vanity (water bottles would have been better); the couch is very low (my maid of honor couldn't get up from it without help; my mother brought in a couple of dining chairs so we weren't just standing, because there was just one other armchair to sit on); and it started out freezing but ended up roasting hot in the room. It was a good thing it was just me, my maid of honor, my mom and my hairdresser, and we had already done makeup at my mom's house in the morning, because if there had been lots of bridesmaids it would have been too crowded! (The bride room is connected to the public ladies room, but it has a keypad lock; the lighting in there is quite ambient as well.) We went for a medieval sort of theme with our wedding, so the Tudor-style beams and large fireplace in the Great Hall worked well with this. Our photographer also took photos outside against the golf course and building, including a lovely but very steep bridge. Cocktail hour was in the Terrace Room while they flipped the Great Hall from the ceremony seating to the tables and dance floor setup. We had arranged for specialty cocktails (named after our cats!) and the bartender delivered! The catering captain, Betty, introduced herself to us and also coordinated the timing of things well (speeches, bringing out the late night snack pretzel wall, etc). All the staff that we interacted with were true professionals. The food was all delicious (we chose NY strip with garlic herb butter sauce, chicken with champagne sauce, and cauliflower steak with pesto sauce as our three entree choices), and it was very helpful that they could make accomodations for vegans, vegetarians, people with gluten allergies, and dairy intolerance. This was quite an affordable yet very beautiful venue for our perfect day! Everything went perfectly as far as I know and we heard so many times from guests how lovely the setting was. I would highly recommend Mistwood as a wedding venue if you are planning for your special event.

Wow did I feel so small and stupid! Nicole came up to me in the waiting area and I could tell she was a little shocked at my age. With such a condescending attitude i really wanted to walk out then. She made it VERY clear with her attitude that she was very annoyed with having me as a student. I felt SO stupid and will never go back there and probably never take lessons anywhere because I do not want to ever feel like she made me feel ever again!

On the other hand, this place is also a little more high end compared to your old fashion bowling/dive bar places. The location was very easy to find. We used Google Navigation and it lead us directly to the place. If you miss the entrance, it might be a little annoying to backtrack but no big issues. Parking was no issues and it is very big compared to the size of the building. We showed up on a busy Wednesday where it is penny pins so you only pay a penny per pin you knock down. Essentially...the worst you are, the cheaper your game will be. Inside the building is very nice and clean. There are two entrances..one is a "restaurant" and the other is the decent sized arcade and bowling. There is a self serving beer tap. And they do serve food. They do a little star less due to the prices of the food as well. It is better than your traditional bar/bowling food but it is a little more expensive. Also, I do enjoy the service of the self serving beer tap. They had a lot of selections of beer, 1-2 seltzers, 1 cider and ~5 wine selection. Also, they do have a "limit" of ~32 oz where the bartender can allow you or less depending on how you act. I do appreciate that so while you can drink feely, no one is getting drunk. I think we were paying ~.60 cents an oz and it does tell you how much your drink will cost as you are pouring. Also, they do have a small water station will is greatly appreciated. The arcade is decently sized. They do have a lot of selections of games but it is not a place where I would go just for the arcade. The size is good for after bowling or while you are waiting for your lane. Overall, I am very impressed with this location. Food, self serving beer tap, and arcades... I am fan of Twisted Pins and I would be back in the future.

They changed names they've got all new lanes, got a pro shop, they got all sorts of crane games and video games etc. I did not bowl, but my kids all bowled with their cousins. What I didn't like, was we got there at 245 and the kids wanted to bowl for an hour, 3 games and there was really nobody on the main lanes except two of the lanes which were already in use and they didn't want to rent lanes to my kids because they said the Plainfield teachers group is coming in. And I'm sure they wouldn't be there till 4 o'clock but this is it like at 2:30 2:45 and so they made my kids rent a lane which cost more dollars an hour and the shoes were more and they had to rent a lane in the VIP section which had colored lights and video on the wall and because they're worried about taking care of this teachers group and school wasn't even close to being over yet but they just wanted to make money on whoever was there. So we got stiffed by having to pay a lot higher prices and I didn't like that. So of course my wife liked the fact that they had a pour your own beer area. With like 20 different beers, some wines, some seltzers etc. etc. And you give them your card upfront they give you a separate card which you wave over the selection that you want , and then it weighs by the ounce how much it pours for you and then charges you a fee. It was in the afternoon and I didn't feel like drinking although the wife drank with my nephew. That was a good thing but I'm really only gonna give them two & 1/2 stars because they were obviously didn't want to rent to us so they gave us the expensive lanes. I just didn't like the service so at our expense they made extra money which was wrong. I personally wouldn't go back.

My venue coordinator Lauren and the whole team last minute changed my ceremony location due to the rain and set everything up in a new spot outside by the clock tower so my guests would be able to walk on concrete and not the wet grass. That is the upside of choosing this venue, it is so large there are so many options and no matter what it will be beautiful! My guests raved how delicious the food was, I had multiple guests the next day and even weeks after telling me it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Our signature cocktails we chose were a hit and our guests enjoyed them throughout cocktail hour and the reception! Lauren our venue coordinator eased all my stress the day of and she was so attentive to me and my family. After the ceremony the venue had mine and my husbands favorite drinks on standby and a tray of appetizers for us. My mom even wanted a different white wine from what they were serving and they grabbed it for her right away! Before the wedding day the venue even does events so you can have your food tasting and then a separate day to experience their signature cocktails and desserts and see the add-ins you can include for your wedding day. The guest bathrooms were just remodeled as well and made a great backdrop for my guests to take pictures in! The reception space, the big glass windows, and the landscaping made for a perfect day that we will always remember! I cannot emphasize enough how happy we were with the Monte Bello Estate for our wedding!

First of all, the outside is absolutely stunning- no matter which way you turn there's a prime photo backdrop. Secondly, the built in bridal and groom suites are amazing. The bridal suite is designed for getting ready with a separate area with mirrors and vanity, built in rod for the perfect wedding dress photo. The grooms suite is the perfect man cave, with a poker table, pool and foosball tables and signed jerseys and guitars hung up all around. The venue also renovated in between us signing and the day of our wedding and they made it even better than I could have ever imagined- a lot more neutral walls for photos and a women's bathroom that was jaw dropping when I saw it for the first time. Throughout our planning process, we worked closely with Abbey who was nothing but helpful and amazing. She was so communicative and always answered my hundreds of questions promptly. Food tasting went swimmingly and the Raise the Bar event (cocktail and wine tasting for signature cocktails and add ons) was so fun. Throughout these events, it was so clear how dedicated the entire team is to making sure we have the best wedding possible. The real tell was the day of the wedding. I've heard that most venue coordinators don't do all that much the day of in terms of helping with third party vendors so that was my expectation going in: I didn't have a wedding planner so I had assigned all my bridesmaids tasks just in case anything needed to be done. Let me just say- Abbey and the other venue staff took care of everything. All the vendors (florist, photobooth rental, band) came and set up seamlessly without me needing to think twice about it. Abbey even helped with coordinating the timing for the professional during the ceremony. We and all our guests had a blast, the food and drinks were amazing. We got so many compliments on everything, especially our signature cocktails! If you're looking for a wedding venue, I seriously cannot recommend Monte Bello enough!

Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was handling and just overall grumpy. I can understand that doing separate checks for a large group might not be fun, but she just seemed irritable the whole time until we gave her a decent tip. She directed us to get our own water from the self-serve station. I did like that I could do the wine flight from the table vs. they only offer the 6 wine tasting from the bar. I was a little disappointed that no one explained which wine was which, and I was left guessing when I ordered all sweet wines and a couple that looked very similar. When I later wanted to order a glass, I apparently picked the wrong one, but none of them were horrible so that was OK. I also ordered the small charcuterie plate, which was a perfect snack plate. Some of our party ordered flatbreads and wraps, which also looked really good, so I would definitely try this place again. This place doesn't seem like they're that good at accommodating large groups as they only have small round tables they had pushed together, but we made it work. They seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. If you like sweet wines, my favorite was the Sweet Purple Lady, followed by Blackberry. I took a bottle home.
