I came here after searching for wineries nearby Philly. I then visited IG and browsed a few reels…read moreand was instantly sold on visiting. The occasion was to celebrate a friend's bday and on the weekend that I chose to visit, the winery was hosting a Sip and Shop; I bought tickets for this event and also made reservations for lunch. The drive here was smooth, it took a little more than an hour but I stopped to pick up my friend from DE on the way. When we arrived, someone was directing the flow of traffic in the parking lot, we then stood in line to complete our check in and then grabbed our first glass of wine, which we sipped while browsing the vendors; there were more than I could count - selling jewelry, sweets, candles and other unique and some customizable gifts. After we finished browsing, it was time for our reservation. We were seated at a table by a full length windows which had a beautiful view of an outdoor patio with a view of the Bohemia River - lovely... We ordered our drinks and apps which didn't take too long - we shared the apps, which were Brussel sprouts salad and Brie Bites; both were delicious (we did ask for more dressing for the salad but the flavor was good overall). For our entrees we ordered salmon and Chicken Bruschetta - all was delicious and cooked to perfection with great flavor. Last, dessert, which was a small cake for my girlfriend, whose bday we were celebrating - I think it was Bourbon vanilla - it was absolutely yummy. We all had a very enjoyable experience from start to finish and are planning to return when the temperatures warm up so that we can spend more time enjoying the beautiful, serene surroundings. Also, the service was great, bathrooms were clean and this place has a lot of character... Don't delay, visit!

Hubs and I visited on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. He booked us a tour of the Manor,…read moreand since it was cold out, I assumed we'd be indoors the entire time. To my surprise, we still received the full tour of the grounds. Our tour guides name was Cat. Super bubbly. We learned about Augustine Herman and how he settled on the land. Cat also shared some additional rogue information about a possible plantation and the enslaved people who had possibly lived there -- I'm not sure if that was part of the actual tour script. For our tasting, we had the Bohemia Blue, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grüner Veltliner, and Brian offered my husband a sample of the Merlot as well. We're definitely looking forward to returning with a few friends once the weather warms up!

My husband and I attended a wedding at this location recently. The wedding itself was amazing! But…read moresince this is a review of the location I'll try to stay on topic! I don't know what it was like coordinating with Worsell Manor house or anything of the fees. I can say that the grounds, the house, and the barn are a wonderful venue for a wedding or event. The main barn space seemed to fit about 150? People and had open spaces for a bar and DJ booth. There was a smaller barn space behind it that the couple used for a photo booth. The lawn near the barns were used for the cocktail hour and the lawn behind the main house was where the couple got married. I don't know what Worsell provides but there were uniform wooden benches and a wedding arch that I suspected may be available through the location. Overall it was a beautiful (and a bit secluded/off the beaten path) location! The only thing I'd recommend to prospective brides is if you choose Worsell, do recommend to your guests that they bring bug spray or have some available when they arrive. We were outside for about an hour and a half by the time I was able to get back to the car and spray my exposed legs and feet down. In that time I accrued about 4 new bug bites! Also, ladies beware, there isn't much in the way of paved walkways outside of the house and barn. I recommend flats or wedges!
