Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

Anchored Inn has been my home for the past several years but the scene here is clearly changing. At least as far as the bartenders are concerned. They used to welcome everyone but now you need to wear a punk uniform to be treated like a customer / person. If you want to spend a lot of money, then have an angry drunk blonde bartender try to fight you when you're ready to close out Anchored Inn is the place to go. Mad unprofessional. Being punk is about accepting everyone, not judging people by the way they look. Leave the fighting and shit talking to the fashion punks. 5 stars to the rad door guys, no stars to the drunk blonde bartender in the green shorts. read more

It had been a fantastic place most nights. We went often. Unfortunately there is some clown in a super hero costume(not joking) who gives people a hard time at the door on some days. Management claims he doesn't even work there, but is just a friend of the actual doorman.
