Had Jesse come out and replace a broken screen. After Jesse replaced the screen, I noticed a dark area on part of the screen. Jesse said this was normal and it should be fine after a couple of days use. After a couple weeks of use, the dark spot stayed there. Also noticed a line toward the top. I reached out to Jesse and he said to give it another day and then it would replace it if it continued. I gave it a couple of weeks, and reached back out. Jesse said he would check his schedule and get back to me. A week later, nothing. Checked back in. Still no response. Sent another message after a few days. He said he has been sick and we could meet tomorrow "for sure". Never heard from him again, got tired of dealing with it. I hate leaving bad reviews, especially when the person seems cool, but man... this was just a terrible experience from start to finish. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the screen I had was honestly perfect--no cracks, no issues, just the adhesive was coming loose from the frame thanks to this brutal Arizona heat. I figured, "eh whatever, might as well just get a new screen while I'm at it." So I hit up iDoctor and Jesse came out to fix it. He was friendly, got it done quick, but the second he handed it back, I could tell something was off. The screen looked so bad--colors were washed out, and it felt like I was looking at a cheap 30hz display instead of the buttery smooth 120hz I was used to. I asked him about it before he left and he told me it was "normal" and it would go back to normal in a few hours. Spoiler alert: it didn't. A few hours later, not only were the colors still trash and the refresh rate awful, the phone felt soo laggy, but now the screen started flashing static every 20 seconds. I reached out to Jesse and asked super politely if there was any chance he had a better quality screen, told him I'd even pay more for it, i was willing to pay for ANOTHER whole new display, as long as this one was better quality than the cheap chinese made one he put in that prob cost him $5 off temu, just needed my phone back in working shape (I literally use it for work). He said he'd check, then... nothing. Kept pushing me off for days, then just completely ghosted me. No response, no help, nothing. In the end, I had to go buy an entirely new phone because the one he "fixed" was unusable. So now I'm out a couple grand over something that could've been a simple screen swap. The initial visit was great, quick & Polite experience. However upon using my phone I found there was extreme touch lag time, slow scrolling, random zooming & exiting tabs that I was in. He stated that was fine but would need to collect his screen he installed. I told him that was fine & can place my old screen back & I will go to Best Buy. Well my phone shattered and I didn't know what to do. I perused Craigslist and got excited when I found Apple idoc. For $90 they drive to your location, wherever you are, and replace your screen! They even have a 90 day warranty. Seemed awesome and convenient. Now I don't have the technical issues that everybody else I've read has. It has been about 2 weeks and all of a sudden I have a crack in my screen! I haven't dropped it or thrown it around or anything of the sort. Yet a crack on my screen popped out of nowhere not 10 minutes after my phone had ran out of battery life. If they sell screens that are legit and supposedly made by the same company that makes apple's screens, how come they can't handle an iPhone's heat? When I spoke with the guy who replaced my screen, his was response was that he has a replacement screen on his phone and has never heard of a phone screen cracking due to heat and if that happens then it's a problem with the phone.... It is a known fact that iPhones get really hot! My original iPhone screen didn't crack due to heat so it is obviously a problem with the glass. He also offered a replacement screen for 69$... A friend recommended the apple idoc to me and at first I thought it was great. $100 to get a new screen seemed fair and he would come to my work and fix it right there? Sounds great. He came to my work the day after I called him and fixed my phone within 15 minutes. I paid him and he left and i thought that would be it. I was wrong. Not even a week after he "fixed" my phone, the screen went haywire. Everything was random colors, the entire screen was pixilated to the point that I couldn't see anything and sometimes the screen was totally black even if my phone was on. The screen was hardly ever responsive to my touch anymore. At least when it was cracked I could still use it! I called him and told him what had happened and he told me he would meet me the next day and take a look. No call and no show. I am a very persistent person so after two weeks... Yes TWO WEEKS of constant calling and texting him, he finally came to my house to look at it. He told me that the LCD wasn't fastened properly or something like that (I know nothing about this kind of stuff). He fixed it and left and my phone was working again and I was so happy that my $100 was finally worth it!!!! Wrong again. Two days later the same exact thing started happening again. I didn't even think it was worth it this time to call this guy for weeks and weeks to have him come fix my phone for a couple days so what did I do? I had to buy a completely new phone. The website CLEARLY states WE DRIVE TO YOUR HOME OR OFFICE AT NO EXTRA COST, and under the list of cities it states "ENTIRE VALLEY AREA" and yet when I asked about the Buckeye area I was told there was a $20.00 fee to drive out here. NOT happy with this business. I had 2 iPhone 5 repaired at the same time. The 1st phone didnt work past the same day.. and it took them SEVERAL days to come out and look at it again. They replaced the screen and a week later it doesnt work at all, and they claim they have no idea why. The 2nd phone, the screen is now lifting off and the back light hardly even works anymore... I have sent several text, phone calls, left VMs and emails... no one is repsonding to my sitiation and to top it off, I am still within THEIR 90 day warranty.... SMH read more
