I only gave 1 star since giving zero was not an option. It's been a few weeks since I went to this place and since then, my phone "repair" ended up taking me back to the Scottsdale area to Arizona iPhone Repair off Mercer Road (if anyone wants to go there). While this is an extra 20 minute drive, this place is hands down much more customer oriented and the people here actually know the product and what they are doing!!! Took my 2 year-old IPhone 4s in for a screen fix and had to stand and listen to the man, who I believe is the owner, talk himself up about how he used to be a body guard and then into the health and beauty biz for years and now he repairs Apple products. Take it from me, he needs to go back to his previous career choices as his knowledge of Apple products was limited at best. I can say this, I used to work at an Apple store in another state before recently moving here. After he got done talking about himself to me, he told me the screen fix would be quick and simple (yes it should have been) and that I could pick it up the next day. Without going into all the boring details, what should have taken 24 hours ended up taking 3 days and the screen application job was awful and then the "touch" functions using my screen stopped 2 days after the work had been done. I took my phone to Arizona iPhone Repair at the suggestion of a co-worker and they immediately confirmed what I assessed was the problem, the screen had not been properly adjusted or applied to my phone, hence the issues after I got it back from Pod Drop. I highly suggest NOT going to this place. It is close to ASU and I'm sure there are many college student who are unfortunately taken advantage of and hit on by the owner during the drop off process as I was - yuck! Drive a little further to be asssured of a professional experience, process and ending result for your money!!! read more

My screen on my iPhone 5 was shot. I stopped in and was greeted by a friendly man (owner?) right away. He fixed my screen and the faulty button (that I didn't know could be repaired). So the following Saturday I brought in my iPod that I thought was a goner. I picked it up later that afternoon and it's working like new. I am very happy with the service and results I received. This guy is legit. Very thorough and will explain things like the fact that there are different types of glass that you can use to replace iPhones and iPads with. He actually worked on my phone that I had taken somewhere else to have the glass replaced. The phone was never the same until I took it to pod drop. The *other* place had potentially used a lower quality glass replacement. Or just didn't line the sensors up correctly when doing the install. Whatever it was, the guy at pod drop was kind enough to test out whether putting on a higher quality screen would fix the problems. 30min later, it was back to running perfectly again! No more dead spots! No more weird, random shuffling between apps (somehow this was also fixed by the new glass). He even discovered that my front microphone had been damaged so he fixed that while he was taking my phone apart. So awesome. His prices are right in line with what other repair shops were quoting but he could def charge more. He doesn't take chances on your beloved apple product :) read more

I will never take my Apple products elsewhere for repair. My IPad looked hopeless with 3 bent casing corners, shattered screen and the display was bleeding! I was convinced it was a goner! When I picked it up I seriously nearly cried tears of joy to see it look as close to new as a 5yr old Ipad who'd been dropped constantly can look. Only one corner had a gouge blemish impossible to fix, but the rest.....oh my! I was referred to Pod Drop by my sister and I will be referring anyone with a busted iphone, ipad, etc to Pod Drop Exclusively. I paid the same price for a new screen and batteries that I would have paid just for the screen at my old repair shop. Thank you for saving my Ipad and for doing it so quickly! read more

Took my iPad there to get the glass fixed. When I got there the guy turned ON the iPad and unlocked it to see if there was other damage and to connect to the wifi. He LOCKED the iPad and said it would be ready the next day even though there was no one else in the store. The next day comes and I pick it up. The glass looks good but the sleep button won't work. He then says its was like that when he got it. Which is dumb because he had to turn it on and lock it the day before. Took it to another apple store and they might have to charge me to redo the glass due to them using glue to keep the glass on. read more

THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The men who work here are 1. Amazing at their job and 2. Amazing human beings with great hearts. Broke my phone screen, dropped if off there (for a great price), but then had to go back to work. The guy who works here drove over to my work JUST to drop off my phone, but then my card didn't work on his iPad portable credit card chip reader, so he drove ALL the way back to the store again, ran my card there, then came ALL the way back and dropped my phone off for me while I was working. I just had my phone fixed here today and it was super easy. I was able to drop it off and go run some errands while he fixed it for me. in an emergency, problem solving skills are essential. And iPhones are sources of BIIIIG problems. My bosses phone miraculously stopped working after traveling aboard. Walked right into the this store and felt like it was gonna be okay. For a phone that wouldn't turn on or charge I thought our situation was hopeless, not the case. Turns out the charging component and screen were toast. Not only were we restored to full function by the end of the day all necessary repair parts were in store and provided immediate relief. Excellent customer service and very knowledgable and friendly as well. Brought in an 4s that needed a new screen and battery and my MacBook Pro that my daughter had previously decided needed a shower. Phone was fixed in under an hour and he had my computer back to me within 24hrs and running better than ever. All for around $140 (60/phone 80/computer)and I was ready to buy a new computer! I took my phone here after having a terrible experience with a different repair shop. The gentlemen that worked here we extremely Knowledgeable and friendly. The store feels professional and like you're at the right shop. They fixed my charger port in a timely manner and they threw in a new charger chord! Pretty cool! Took my old 5 in because the screen had popped up out of the housing and I was not able to send or receive calls. He immediately knew it was my battery and showed me how he knew it was. (I later Googled this and learned that the 5's had an issue with exploding batteries and Apple had been replacing them. Thanks for the notification, Apple!) Took an hour to replace battery, recharge and clean the phone. I went to leave and realized that I still couldn't send or receive calls. He was quite puzzled, but had a few ideas about why it was happening. I left the phone with him and went back to my office. He called me later at work and asked if I recognized the number he was calling from. Yep, he had figured out the problem and fixed it. All of this cost me less than $100. The Pod Drop was awesome! They were fast (25 min), they got me in right away and were a good price. I had a shattered screen on my iPhone 5c (they don't make these anymore) and so I did not want to go through the refurbished phone process with Verizon, I just wanted my screen fixed. Went in to The Pod Drop and he fixed it up and even added another protective layer for my screen ($40). I was desperate as I needed the phone for my job as I work remotely as a recruiter for a DC company and that phone is literally my lifeline. I did not have the $450 to purchase a new one at the Apple store so he sold me one of his nearly perfect 4S loaner phones for a very fair and unbelievable price! Then he had me follow him to the closest Verizon store to make sure I could get all my information transferred to the phone without a problem. He went above and beyond ... and I might mention that all this occurred during a torrential downpour, in monsoon weather... So Stephen "nicely" responded to what I had to say, and unfortunately we just have a plethora of excuses and flat out lies. Stephen lied when he stated the WiFi works, and I had mentioned nothing of the pictures. This wasn't months ago ("during the summer"), as it was in October. Any rational person can see Stephen making a blatant excuse at the start of his rebuttal: "BTW, How do we contact you with a price, without you having a phone?" Ummm, I don't know Stephen, maybe email? Or maybe you could wait to speak to me as I came in several times. Stephen then goes on to use fallacy to assume that I'm having some kind buyer's remorse due to the data off? WTF? The data is all there Stephen, I have no complaints there, did you even read this complaint in the first place? Data Doctors may charge more, but they sure as hell would let me know BEFORE holding my phone hostage for your inflated charges. BTW Stephen, your not a knight in shining armor, 10 dollars off for work that wasn't asked for isn't defined as a good deed, just as deceit. Like I said, this further cements my impression of Stephen. I will go visit him though, since he seems to think that will solve the issue. read more

my sons phone would not take a charge and died out on him just out the blue, he took his iPhone to the apple store and they said it was out of warranty and that he needed a new phone. i took his phone into the pod drop and the guy tried a couple of things and it turned out his docking board had some broken prongs on it , the guy fixed the board within 30 minutes . the guy was very helpful and honest . if you have an iPod, iPad problem and want to get it fixed i would recommend going there. its cheaper than buying brand new read more
