The Apple Xchange turned a weeks long $800 repair through Apple into a $400 repair that only took a couple days. My MacBook's battery quit on me the other week and Apple citing "water damage" was poised to charge me $800 for a replacement. So, I took it to the Apple Xchange who found the real issue was some metal shavings that had ended up inside my laptop somehow and shorted the battery. The water damage that supposedly warranted replacement of the logic board was actually only causing minor keyboard issues. They found the real issue at work and turned an 800+ dollar repair into restoring my MacBook to good as new with a $400 keyboard + battery. And they did it near instantaneously! I was quoted 24-48hr for a repair estimate, then another 3-5 days for an actual repair. I can't even begin to tell you how much money these incredible people have saved me! When my 2012 MacBook Pro failed 2 Genius Bar techs told me I needed a new one and the Apple Xchange staff told me I had a simple connection cable failure that is common with this model and year. Less than $100 and a new cable installed in less than half a day and I was good to go. Beware of the Genius Bar. Anytime I have a problem or question Apple xChange is my go-to source. I am not the most technical person and when I don't know how to accomplish something I visit the store and I am treated with so much understanding and care. I love Elmer and highly recommend him to everyone! He took so much time to help me with a technical problem and there was absolutely no charge! I usually feel intimidated by tech superior people. Elmer made me feel completely comfortable with my lack of knowledge - he really cared about me. This place ROCKS!!! Finally I write a review for this place! I should have written one a year ago since we have been to this place now 4 times with 4 different issues and iMac/phones. This place is great and very reasonable in pricing! I have gotten 3 iphone screens replaced here and never a problem. In addition today I went in and got tempered glass for my sons iPhone 6. It was $24.99 plus tax and I got $10 off buy using their Yelp deal pay $10 get $20 in store. They are knowledgable, helpful and dependable. I have never been in there for longer than an hour. On a previous occasion my iMac stopped working and we needed our hard drive recovered. They couldn't help but no charge for their help in directing me the correct way. I truly am impressed by this place & I continue to recommend them because they have proved to have a solid business and do great work! read more

Okay, sad story, I accidentally poured soup on it. I firstly went to the official Apple Store, they said they will mail it to the repair center and do a diagnosis. I think I need to confirm the agreement of paying before the diagnosis? I also went to Ubreakifix and Data Doctors, both of them gave me higher price and told me how complicated the problem my Macbook has. I knew I should ask Yelp. I went to this place, told them my problem. He said he will firstly do a cleaning with $50 to see if it works. It took only less than a day (except Sunday)! They said the topcover needs to be replaced because of the soup remains under the keys (and I destroyed some of them because I thought I could clean it by myself, stupid). Again, it only took them a few hours to get my MBP topcover replaced. The delete key has a little problem after a week and they fixed it for free. Very quick and efficient service. The staff are very nice and friendly. The store is tidy and clean. The price is fair. I would definitely recommend anyone to this place for purchasing or repairing Apple products. read more

Can't say enough great things about Apple Xchange. I had my cracked iPhone 6 screen fixed in February and my phone was as good as new. As far as quality and comparable stores in the valley they are the cheapest and offered a discount if you purchased their coupon on Yelp. Fast forward three months and a few days my iPhone screen started to lift which caused touch screen issues and blah blah. Huge problem as the whole phone is one giant screen. Called and spoke with Jake and even though it was a few days past my 90 day warranty they fixed it for no additional charge! No questions asked and it's back to being good as new. They're quick too!! I have never had any problems with my I-Phone 5 so when I shattered my screen, I had no idea where to take it. I found this coupon on Yelp and took my phone there. Apple Xchange was very helpful and efficient. They also explained to me that they replace the hole top piece of your phone, some places cut the glass out and glue a new piece over it. read more

I went there to have a new battery installed on my Macbook. The "new" battery is no stronger and has no longer life than the old one. I called them and they had me click on some tabs until I got to a certain point. They then asked me to read them the number there, which I did. They said that that number tells them that the "new" battery is good and fully charged. I'm really not satisfied with this answer. No matter what that number says...this battery is no better than the old one. I won't be going back to this store. read more

I spent $90 on an iPhone 6 screen replacement and it was so bad I ended up replacing the entire phone due to the issues. The screen was much less sensitive, overall discoloration (very faded and from certain angles (any angle that the screen wasn't directly facing you) the dark colors would become distorted), the home button was extremely loose, and the glass felt weird. Despite bringing it back and raising my concerns multiple times, I was just told that it wasn't an issue, that's just how it is, and there's nothing they could do. When I showed it to a friend he was shocked at how bad of a job it was. For $90, which is not much less than just going to the Apple store, I'm really disappointed in the quality of repair done and the way I was made to seem like a crazy person who was overreacting and nitpicking. I compared the old phone repaired at the apple xchange to the new replacement phone and I truly realized how awful the repair was. Splurge a little and just go to the apple store, it will be worth it in the long run when your product is actually repaired properly. read more

I would highly recommend you never buy a computer from this store!! I bought a computer from them they did not explain that the model I bought had know issues, and the 4 year warranty from Apple to fix the issue had expired just before I bought it. When I took it for repair the 1st time they still did not inform me of the issue, neither did they tell me on the 2nd visit for the repair of same issue. The 3rd time the issue occurred (only 14 months after buying it) I had moved and took it to a different store, that is when I finally found out about the problem. I had to buy a whole new computer. Great service and experience. I dropped my iPhone and cracked the front screen. I originally went to Apple, and they said it would be $199 to replace the phone (they said they couldn't replace just the screen for that model). So, I looked up screen replacement companies, and found Apple Xchange. They had great reviews and the price was very affordable. I dropped my phone off at about 5PM, and they had it fixed in under a half hour! Very courteous staff and the phone works perfectly. Purchased a laptop from this company, I attempted to do a software update and it would not allow me to update my computer. I contacted the Apple Xchange and was told I would have to bring it back to them for updating at no charge, yet now I have to take time out of my day and take the laptop to them and leave it for updates I should have been able to do myself. My Dad suggested this company to me. These guys are great at second hand laptops. I bought one in 2012 (mac book pro) for a G and basically not worth the money. The thing has run hot since the day I got it. If you unplug it the thing lasts about 25 minutes before you need to charge it again. If you want to do anything more complicated then running the internet then you should be prepared to have the computer plugged into the wall and have a fan blowing directly on it. When I try to edit videos on this Mac I got from these guys my typical response is the spinning pinwheel.....so basically if you are a grandma and just check your grandkids Facebook these guys have the equipment for you...if you are anyone under 60...go buy a PC or save your money until you can afford the apple product you want. At this point there is no hope I will get half of what I spent back for my computer....and these guys told me it would be good for five years. Sorry Pops, but bad suggestion. read more

I needed some battery mounting screws for my McBook Pro. After dealing with the Apple Store to no avail, I stumbled onto Apple Xchange. I needed to replace the screws because I stripped the heads of originals trying to remove the battery myself without the special screwdriver. When I went I got there I was greeted by friendly, knowledge staff who installed my battery with the correct screws and proper tool.
