However, I just took down that review. Because things have changed dramatically (for the worst) here at BCAH over the last 2 years. Lately, my A/C hasn't been working properly. I stopped by the management office Friday, March 6th at 5pm to let them know that my A/C was not blowing out cool air & to ask them to send over a maintenance man to take a look at it. The leasing agent went into the manager's office where the manager, assistant manager & another leasing agent were chit chatting. The leasing agent told the manager the issue with my A/C, wasn't (blowing out cool air). The manager did something on her computer & the leasing agent came back to me & said that the maintenance man would come over. I clarified with her that he would come over this evening. She said he was working on something & he would come after he's done (mind you it was 5p, and the office closes at 5:30p). However, if there's an issue with an A/C or header maintenance is supposed to come fix it...........even if it is after hours. At 5p Friday I put in a request for maintenance to come check out the A/C. The time is now after 2a Saturday morning. He's NO SHOW & I'M NOT SURPRISED........ I've lived here for 2 years. Maintenance & management used to be awesome. Ally & Tyresha don't give a shit about residents. All they care about is getting the empty apartments leased. There are so many empty apartments here........So if you're looking for an apartment, (I would keep looking). Before I moved here I lived in the worst apartment complex ever. After living here at BCHA , this is the 2nd worst apartment complex I've lived at.

Lots of homeless people around the 711, smoke shops, storage places, etc. Lots of poop on the property and they had a drive by at the mailboxes INSIDE the complex a few years back. Also so close to the airport you can read the flight numbers on the planes. Terrible complex for the amount of money youre paying. Nevermind the pool parties that go well into the mornings.

The water stain is growing and encompasses more than half the length of the wall, near the carpet. The carpet is wet from waste, and my apartment smells like manure. I am unable to use the toilet, electrical socket on the wall and enjoy the comforts of my home because I am fearful of the sewage smell and spreading of water. I understand that management has recently changed, and I was hopeful that communication and support would reflect that transition. Unfortunately, my interaction with Natalie, the manager, was extremely disappointing. When I spoke to her at the office to better understand the next steps and asked if she could come view the damage, I was told that maintenance had already been there and that I should contact my insurance. She also stated she was at lunch and emphasized there was no reason for her to come view the premises. During the conversation, she told me she "was not going to hold my hand." That comment, especially during an emergency involving damage to my home, was unprofessional and unnecessary. It took a great deal of restraint on my part to remain calm and respectful during the exchange. I understand that procedures must be followed, but professionalism, clear communication, and basic courtesy are not optional they are part of the responsibility of property management. The way this situation was handled was unacceptable. I strongly urge ownership to address this behavior and ensure that residents are treated with respect and professionalism moving forward. If management does not change I highly recommend anyone considering to move to this property to reconsider.

My AC has not been working properly for 17 days. Service has been negligent…read more This weekend the temperature in my apt was from 82 - 86 degrees. I have put in 5 work orders, communicated more than 15 times and I am still sweating in my apartment. I have had to pack up my daughters and my dog and stay with friends overnight, so it was safe. I don't have extra money to get a hotel. They issued me a portable ac more than a week after my ac stopped cooling. That didn't help enough to dip below 80. Still unsafe and uncomfortable.They have offered no other solution or relief for me and my daughters to be in a safe and comfortable place. Father's Day weekend the AC was not working. Saturday, I called the emergency number for assistance. The guy told me he would eventually get to it and that they didn't have to come out until my ac was at 90 degrees. The next day, it was back up to mid 80's. I messaged property mgmt and they responded that it could wait until tmrw. I had to pack up everything again and find somewhere else to stay. Currently going on 17 days (full documentation) living in a hot 1 bedroom apartment, while paying too much for rent. The leasing agents are great but they have to follow the Busboom Group policies. This company treats their tenants like 2nd class citizens. They only care about making money. Most of the tenants all share the same thoughts. I will refrain from discussing the towing policies, the pool being closed all last summer, marijuana smoke and their refusal to get new appliances when they fail to work properly. This place is very petty and retaliatory. If you cross them they will make your stay with them as difficult as possible. The most telling part for me is their lack of accountability. They make mistakes frequently (which is okay) yet you will be the one that pays for their mistakes. Every . Single. Time. They will find a way to profit from their tenants and make their money. I can't wait to move out of this place.

I had the pleasure of starting my Palisades journey with the amazing Amber P (Ivan), the other young lady (Christian #1), Ms. Joni and Ms. Mekeda (Christian #2) who to me have been a breath of fresh air to our community. I've not had one issue come up and was brought to Mekeda's attention that was not resolved in the same day or soon thereafter. Christian is so awesome I've never had anything that he fixed need to be addressed for the same issue again. He's a hard worker and very respectful. They take the cleanliness of the complex, the safety and happiness of the tenants personal. For me the enforcement of the Trash policy is huge as there are those that still break the rules and wind up having their trash spread across the lawn by morning from the critters that otherwise wouldn't have access to it if it were put out at the designated time. We have a lot of dog lovers so I'm sure the dog park is appreciated. (I don't utilize it as I don't have a dog) I don't see me leaving anytime in the near future. I could see if you have some nasty neighbors that leave leaking garbage bags on the hallway floor, then I see how a roach and pest issue can be a problem. But that is why tenants are instructed to place their garbage cans with bags INSIDE the can in the hallway for pick up; not leave leaking bags on the floor. If someone has excess garbage bags that do not fit in the garbage cans, the dumpster is a hop skip and a jump away. Looks like the management has a regular hallway washing schedule. I do have to say the walls are thin, you can hear the neighbors next door, and those walking upstairs if they have heels, and since I lived above a garage unit, I would hear that garage door very loud every time it was opened and closed. That is why I am taking away one star. Overall, nice place to live. Jeff and Emily were very attentive and quick to respond in person or via email. Since then, they have stopped cleaning the complex, did an awful paint job, very seldomly do they clean the dog parks or trash out of the complex and even the management has left. I lived in 3 of the units there and the last one was the absolute worst. The first unit I lived in was fine, we had a very good experience during that time. The second unit I moved into had not been cleaned and there was a smell coming from the cabinets that never left no matter how much I scrubbed. One way I knew they did not clean was because there were dirty handprints all over the walls and the previous tenants laundry still in the dryer. The third unit I moved into was supposed to be one of their nicest ones. Move-in day they did not have the unit ready. We went to pick up our keys, had our truck packed and movers ready to help. Instead of our unit being ready, they had to scramble to clean the unit and change the carpets THAT DAY. We just sat around waiting for them to be done. When we moved in, all the baseboards had water damage and were never repaired only painted over. There was a massive wet spot on the ceiling of one of the units bathrooms that eventually became moldy and they only painted over it. The master bathroom had horrible ventilation and it grew mildew like crazy. And the worst problem was that our unit had roaches. Pest control had to come out almost every other month to set up traps and spray, and we even had the unit fumigated. That DID NOT help. To make it even worse, they are a mix of full size roaches and babies. I was hesitant to write a review because I did like previous management as well as the maintenance team however, upon move-out my fiance and I spent HOURS cleaning our unit. I have videos and pictures to prove the condition our unit was in when we moved out. The complex, or new management, is charging us to replace the carpets. That should be included for every new tenant, and I was under the impression it was because that is what we were told every time we switched units. That carpets would be changed. Regardless, like I said I do have pictures and videos to prove that our carpets were clean, no tears and no stains. This complex is extremely over-priced and you do not have any perks to show for it. They allow residents to throw massive pool parties where they throw food and chairs into the pool and turn the pool green. Then they never clean it so it stays unusable for weeks on end. They allow people to let their children use the gym equipment like a playground. Two of three treadmills, and the stair stepper have been broken and unusable for around 1 year and a half to 2 years now. And if you do not pay for parking you will most likely end up parking outside of the complex. It is supposed to be a gated complex, however the gate has been broken literally since I moved in 4 years ago. They will get someone to patch it up and it ends up breaking only a few days later. They make so much money off their tenants yet none of it will actually go back into the complex. Instead they continue to make cuts to the bare minimum things they do around the place to keep it "luxury." Whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Wear and tear doesn't exist at this property, you WILL be charged for something. I know someone else that lives at the property that already knows this is the case. Living here was ok, except for all the dogs barking and overhead constant stomping. But expect to lose your deposit and then some. What a business, scamming the people that decide to move out.
