Also, the clientele seemed to be mostly college aged, and it was slightly busy around 3PM on a weekday. Just didn't make sense given the equipment, crowd, and overall membership price, which is kind of on the high side. They clearly have it posted they are open 24hr a day during the week which is why I joined. As I was writing this review, I saw a group of people waiting by the door so I drove up to ask them what they were doing. They pointed out that even though it states open 24hr Mon-Fri that in the small print it does say that on Monday, they open at 5am. I looked at my watch and said "well...its 5:15am now". A guy in the group said there is a heavyset Hispanic guy who works there that never shows up on time. This would explain why I have made the drive 3 times and they weren't open. Before I left, I saw the guy they were referring to pull up. He was moving in slow motion getting out of his car walking to the door. Clearly he did not care about the group waiting. It was going to be another 10 minutes for him to in-forward the phones, turn on the music and TVs, turn on the lights and A/C. To his defense...I saw an ad that they were hiring (for 3hr a week). The pay is either $12 or $13hr which is a joke. So it's no wonder the staff doesn't care if they show up on time. I'm going to check out Planet Fitness where it's actually open 24hr a day.

When we originally signed up for our family membership, management explicitly told us we could cancel on the day of notice without penalty. However, when attempting to cancel, staff refused to honor our original agreement and claimed they changed their policy last week to require a mandatory 30-day notice. This forced extension is a blatant tactic to squeeze an extra month of dues out of members across multiple accounts and add-ons. Changing contract rules after the fact without written consent is predatory and deceptive. They will gladly take your money, but they make leaving nearly impossible through hidden policy shifts. Save yourself the headache and go to a gym that respects its members and honors its word. Formal complaints are being filed with the Texas Attorney General Consumer Protection Division and the BBB.
