This is exactly what the doctor ordered after an unfortunate mix up on winding dirt roads in nearby Vail. While there are many food options in the Dillon area we were delighted to find a locally owned business to support both our veggie and carnivore appetites. This establishment is tucked back into a mini mall with a few other businesses (food and otherwise). There was ample parking so we had no trouble finding a spot for our extended cab vehicle. Walking in we were pleased to find both indoor and outdoor seating. Each table complete with a set of sauces (jalapeno, chimichurri, and chipotle). There was a large case of empanadas containing a variety of options. I went for their spinach and cheese as well as the in-house fan favorite (a beef with peppers). While I had my heart set on the mushroom they sold out before I made it to the counter (my travel companions swiped them up). While there were more in the oven we were in a rush so another 10-15 minutes wasn't in the works for us. Our empanadas were flavorful with a pastry like crust. While the chimichurri was different than what I was accustomed too (more creamy) it was delicious. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area! read more

We found this place on yelp and hope that we could have tried their vacio (beef flap steak) however when we arrived they told us that because of the pandemic they turned it into an empanadas only business. It was also near the end of the day and they close at 7 pm so some of the other things that they make (quiche etc) that were kept warm in the bakery case were all sold out so we will have to return some other time to try some. We had a chorizo empanada which you must understand is nothing like Mexican chorizo, it is more along the lines of Italian sausage, there is no paprika to make it red and it's not as greasy either, but it does have garlic. The second one we tried was the steak with onions and peppers. It was very tasty, very moist and flavorful. Personally I prefer a little more fat in empanada dough, this one they use is what is called in the bakery business more of a "straight dough" so it didn't have a lot of flakiness and the dough was fairly lean (low fat) plus they were baked, not fried. They were tender however the dough was a little more wet than I like where the fillings sat on the dough. The three sauces to go with the empanadas are chipotle, which was very spicy and typically smoky as you would expect, the second was a creamy jalapeño, and the third was a creamy chimichurri. For me it would've been nice to have a traditional chimichurri sauce that wasn't creamy, the jalapeño and the chimichurri were close in flavor except for the heat from the jalapeño in that version. Prices are very reasonable and they have a cute bar with two TVs and some nice looking small metal black tables with open floor to ceiling doors so you can feel comfortable being "outside" while you're still under cover. For a quick bite, and a hand held meal they are delicious but you won't find any salads or anything like that if you're looking for vegetables. Hopefully traffic will pick up and they can bring back some of those other items dropped during Covid so that we can return and try their beef and chicken entrees. read more

The Chorizo and Argentinian steak are must tries if you eat meat, they are so incredibly flavorful.. I cannot find words to describe them without sounding like a kid "WHOAA" "MMMMM". Pair the seasoned tender meat with a super crispy outer dough. The chicken was alright.. definitely did not as flavorful. This is prob the healthier of the meat options. The Argentos Empanadas is a delight located in the Dillon/Silverthorne region of Colorado. Tucked away in the corner of a strip mall you'll get a true slice of heaven. The empanadas here are loaded with filling and are to die for. The Rocky Mountains definitely has a huge lacking for good food. Argentos helps to cure that disease. The owners are amazing and very kind. I asked for Fernet (which is amazing they have it) and they had such a small amount they gave it to me for free despite offering to pay for it.
