Decent Mexican food for the area. My husband ordered the queso fundido which was nice and melted. They also have a self serve sauce station which I believe every Mexican restaurant should have. When we came we were the only people there so the service was exceptional. It was a snow day and it was chill with I believe one person attending the customers. The Margarita was not my favorite. But everything else was amazing. I got a torta- and it was a really good torta. Just as good as anything you can find in south federal in Denver. Delicious food at a reasonable price! Their salsa bar has more than several different salsas (I think we tried them all & all were delicious). They had fresh cucumber slices, pickled carrots & onions & peppers, and a combo of chopped onion & cilantro to top your taco with if you want. My husband got a burrito with beef, beans & brown rice that he liked a lot. It was really big! I ordered 2 tacos. One chicken and one birria (beef marinated in a delicious sauce). They served the birria taco with a little bowl of the sauce to dip in or add to it. It also came with pickled red onions on top. Mmmmm. The chicken taco was just chunks of chicken in a corn tortilla. But when I added the onion-cilantro mix & some salsa it perked it right up and was tasty. But the birria was the best. We stopped in for a quick dinner and were not disappointed. We chose to each get 3 different tacos so we could try most of the meat options. They were all authentic and delicious. The meat came on corn tortillas and there was a salsa and topping bar you could use to customize your meal. The meat portions were generous and I could have easily been full from 2 tacos. I love this place! I stop every time I go through Dillion. The tacos are amazing. Especially the brisket and barbacoa. The drinks are great a well. My favorite was the horchata and the tamarindo. The owner is so nice as well. I have pretty high standards for Mexican food (coming from CA) and you do not always find gems like this in the mountains! Definitely worth coming here. read more

This family-run business is a gem! The menu selection is expansive and there are options sure to please everyone. Carne asada tacos are superb! Chips and guacamole were great and guacamole was fresh and not too lime-y. Service is excellent. There's a salsa bar with the typical salsas you need and pickled veggies. The aesthetic of this place is sooo cute! I loved walking in and hearing them blast reggaeton! the service was quick and amazing! (We drive two hours without breakfast and we didn't not wait long) They also STACKED the meat on our tacos so 10/10 (glad we only got 2 and not four!!) def saved ourselves there!! HOWEVER , the only reason I'm leaving a 4 instead of 5 is because it's $6 a taco which doesn't sound bad and everything else was reasonable for the size and taste! .... our side of guacamole was $9.50..... I'm sorry I know it's the mountains and everything is priced differently and supplies and demand is different than Denver but I cannot justify a tiny size of guacamole being $10!!! The good - The food was good and reasonably priced. We had burritos, green chilie fries, birria flat is and a few other tacos. The bad - service...our order took a while considering there was only one other group of 4 there when we went. The waiter never attended our table except to get our order and bring out items. Ordered chicken and quesobirria quesadillas, and sides of rice and beens (for $8?! extra). Food was bland and the margaritas were worse than a convenience store margarita flavored malt beverage. Waited 15 minutes before even being greeted or handed a menu whatsoever. Had to get up and order food at the takeout desk instead. After ordering we finally got greater with water cups. To wait in an empty restaurant 30mins for 7 tacos, she came and checked receipt and they proceeded to make other food. Green chili is spicy and lacked flavor but the taco sauce bar was good with several good salsa options although labels would be helpful. The food here is amazing. We went to kucu or whatever the tequila bar is for tacos the day prior and it was so basic and bland- we regretted not coming here. THIS PLACE IS AMAZINGG! We've had costras, tacos, quesadillas, chips and guacamole and all have just been phenomenal. This was our second visit and every weekend my husband begs to go back! Only downside is no queso. Everything was so tasteful and delicious from the tacos, Torta to the horchata to the salsas. But what made this restaurant so amazing-- I left my purse in the booth and didn't realize until I got home (2hrs away) I called and they immediately offered to ship it or hold it for me as long as they needed to.
