We decided to pay the aristocrat a visit for a quick family outing. Brian and Dj were extremely welcoming and the atmosphere was great. The establishment was extremely clean and welcoming with nice Lowkey vibes! For the most part the food was pretty good! The fish and chips were immaculate, The chicken wings were some of the best I've ever had! The shrimp ceviche was a little bit of a letdown simply because they just placed cocktail shrimp on top of a tomato onion and lime juice mixture. The drinks were pretty tasty and very pretty however they were a little on the overly sweet side. We really enjoy places that makes our entire family feel welcome and Brian definitely made us feel comfortable with Bentley! He Spent a great deal of time playing with and loving on our little man so we can focus on dinner. He also brought him a treat! We will definitely be back again!

What a super, friendly spot! We were in town for a concert at the coliseum, and our hotel was close enough to walk to the venue. So, we hunted for a spot to hang, get a bite, and that was also close enough to walk to. Yelp, of course, helped us out! We started with the sweet potatoes and spicy meatballs - which definitely brought just the right amount of heat via habanero! So delicious that we ordered a second plate. Glad we were walking, after several very, very good cocktails, glass of wine and those spicy turkey meatballs, we happily walked on to our event. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our time at The Aristocrat!! I'll need to make an excuse to head up again!

A unique establishment away from the vista and Main Street in a building well over a hundred years old downtown. The proprietors originate or have spent a lot of time in Austin, Texas a food town to be proud of for eating and drinking. Tried several menu items the fried avocado stood out amongst the crowd and I don't even like avocado on anything I eat but this was delicious. Sheltering from the storms after seeing Cirque Solei we stayed longer than expected the conversation was full of good cheer. Drank some Italian liquor to end my thirty's on a high note at the bar. Jazz music was played well into the evening by the band who had clearly earned their stripes meaning one member has played for over fifty years. If you want a slightly upscale experience to get away from it all come here and have a drink or two with your significant other on Friday night.

Súper cool spot for funky ambience without pretense. The food is good every time- this time got the cheese plate and artichoke spinach dip with some Sangiovese to drink.

Definitely a hidden gem. Great ambiance, amazing drinks and delicious food! Turkey meatballs had just the right amount of spice and the bacon wrapped sweet potatoes were delectable! Bread pudding rocked and I got a fresh amaretto sour, not premixed with a real cherry, not a dyed one. Will definitely return!!!

The Aristocrat is one of the best, if not THE best, cocktail bar in the city. I was surprised to find this type of bar in Columbia. They have delicious and fresh handcrafted cocktails. The bartender was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I loved the ambiance here. It has an Old World meets Gatsby vibe. I had "The Aristocrat" to drink which is Santa Margherita Prosecco and Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, rimmed with gold sugar and topped with a pink rock candy sucker. It is a beautiful drink, but it is more of a fancy girly drink, which is probably why I loved it so much. This drink was $12, so these cocktails aren't cheap but they are tasty!

Great bartender and nice environment for a spot so close to the city. Not the typical college bar. Great selection of whiskey

The place is very well air conditioned, and the space is very intentional. Visiting from out of state the waitress seemed a bit shy/new but curious about Wisconsin she warmed up a little bit. It's really cool that you can see the chefs in their element behind a glass wall while you wait. The silverware, or should I say Goldwear was beautiful. I started out with the All American Spritz- it was good but nothing extraordinary. However when I tried the pistachio martini, I was in disbelief! I was skeptical to order it as I've never even heard of one before and was unsure how pistachio would translate into a martini. It was creamy and somehow savory and sweet at the same time, the alcohol taste was nonexistent. And the rim was coated in pistachio crumbs. Both the drinks presentation was beautiful. I personally ordered the bbq chicken sandwhich, with mac and cheese instead of fries for the side. The sandwich was smoky, I could not stop eating it! If anyone was wondering what so special about the mac and cheese, it's the name of the noodles. And yes, the waitress will sound it out with you lol! The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy, and I found it a bit bland unfortunately. There was no order the same in the group I came with. The truffle fries were on the thinner crispier side, neat that there were different color of potatoes used. The duck wings came out like their very own presentation. I tried the alligator bites, that were served with 2 sauces, I thought there were kind of chewy , and weird enough I guess I have a preference with how my alligator is served since having tried some at the Wisco State fair. I love that the menu feels curated, you know what you're there for and it's not overwhelming to pick from the options of something new. The bathroom was very cute too! And the bar area was lit up, a cool atmosphere.

That created a slightly rushed feeling right from the start of the experience. When the food arrived, it was not served hot. The fries were seasoned but came out cold, so we had to send them back. The service also felt a bit disengaged, as though the server was ready to wrap things up, even though there was still about 30 to 45 minutes before closing time. That said, once the food was remade and served hot, it was really good. My salad, however, was not the same experience, as the lettuce had brown spots throughout, which took away from the overall quality. You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.

A bar that doesn't have ANYTHING on draft is kind of weird. Second, I asked if their kitchen was open, and after being told it was, asked for the chicken tender basket. Only after running my card, did they tell me that they were out of fries, and I would either have to get just the tenders or sweet potato fries instead. I don't like sweet potato fries, so I paid $10 for a chicken tender "basket", which included only tenders. In my opinion, it would have been appropriate to either offer me a refund, or at least offer me a shot or more tenders for the trouble. Finally, the bar itself was pretty nasty, with broken seats, TVs that had black spots on them, and a disorganized looking vibe overall. The staff and patrons were pretty nasty as well. In all, this was one of the worst bars I've been to in a long time, I will not be coming back, and I would not recommend that anyone patronize this bar if they're looking for a high-quality experience.

However, we expected German beer options being that they call themselves a Biergarten. They had none. Absolutely nothing about this place was German. We went on a Sunday late morning and all they had was brunch. That was fine, but the brunch menu was fairly limited. And again, nothing German. While our service was great, it looked like they had two servers for the entire place. We saw two tables of people get up and leave because the weren't being waited on. Again, our experience was good. But maybe consider the negatives before trying.
