I should mention, I am in no way affiliated with this shop whatsoever in any way, shape, or form. However I do live in the neighborhood and when I was searching for paper stores, this shop came up in the search. It took me literally 2 seconds to see that it's not the type of store I'm looking for (I'm looking for more of a stationary/paper store as opposed to art supply anyways, but alas this shop came up.) I personally think it's really cool to have a shop specifically for materials more geared toward graffiti/spray paint art...because graffiti IS ART. Therefore this shop IS an art supply store! That guys review would be almost like if I went to Whole Foods and got mad because they don't sell Hot Cheetos and Swishers. That would be ridiculous, right? Of course it would be! People should do their own due diligence! I'm sure Scott S. refuses to take such responsibility though, for he mustn't have the basic sense to make such high agency decisions in his day-to-day life. But that's okay. Because I'm here. To suggest to anyone that comes across this shop, to simply look at the images. Look for yourself. Is this the type of store you're looking for? Jelly cats lol I had been wanting a fountain pen for a long time but never bought one. Perfect timing I guess? The JT? TJ? Super knowledgeable about the products on hand, and even the ones they didn't have on hand. I'm excited for the Lamy pen, and sailor ink I purchased. The price of the pen was comparable to what I've seen online, so I'm glad I was able to shop local. I also ended up getting some cute stickers and washi tape.

The pen Manager explained the specific refills in detail. Bonus, she wrote down the details of each model on the back of her business card. She was very helpful and detailed oriented and a pleasure to converse with. We'll definitely miss Flax, but in the meantime, we'll make sure all of the items we need, we get 'em here. Such a wonderful studio!…read more Came across the studio after having breakfast in the area because I've started needle felting. Found parking conveniently right in front in the street since it was a quiet day out. I was looking for wool roving which she didn't have, however, she was so kind to explain the difference between the types of material and she showed me the correct type of yarn she did have that I'd be able to pull apart with my carding brushes! She had a lot of equipment to use for yarn crafts and it was great to see the variety of product inside. Apparently she holds craft nights and such too which I'm planning on looking into. Prices here were sooo much better than all the places I've found online which is also have to pay extra for shipping. She also even rolled the yarn into a ball for me before we left. Hopefully they'll have wool roving here soon, but I'm thankful for the yarn we were able to purchase for my current projects :) The best part -- her dog Jasper kept us company throughout our whole experience there and he is the absolute cutest cuddle bug! Can't wait to come back.

Wow! What a huge change from 6 days ago! When I first came…read morein greeted right away. With a huge smile! The cashier in the back A1 service. We chatted about this year. We talked as she waited on other customers. She was very polite, kind and just a whole vibe. The item I purchased. I said it's a gift for my daughter. She said would u like me to wrap it in tissue paper. I said wow thank u but no thank you. She said well im here to please! It was amazing! Then I saw puzzles 40%off. I said my cousin and myself loves puzzles. I saw a cat one for her. I said oh this is a must have! She loves cats! The cashier in front greeted me b4 I could reach the register. He also said if there is anything I can help u with. Please let me know. He said and when you're ready to check out I'm available. An employee walked in. He made a small finger gesture to his boss. Maybe she wasn't suppose to work. I don't know! However, unlike the cashier on New Years he didn't talk until he was finished with me. And he was super young! No explanation. No effort to move things along. Just one long line of people standing there like idiots while nothing happened. This is basic retail management and somehow it's still a disaster here. It's AD 2026 and this store still runs a system like it's 1985. After 20 minutes of watching absolutely nothing happen, I literally threw the items I was holding onto the counter where the cashier was and stormed out. Only then did the manager suddenly decide to react and come after me. Completely unacceptable customer service and total disregard for anyone waiting in line. By the way, their fabric section sucks.
