Found AP when reviewing Yelp in NoDa. I found their menu, food photos and reviews appealing. It was a pleasant surprise to find that they have plenty of reservations left on the same day. Restaurant is at the end of a strip mall and has a nice size outdoor patio. My wife and I were on a dinner date and we were sat inside which is tastefully designed. We started out with drinks; she got Pinot noir and I ordered a BS Rewind. We were debating between several appetizers and decided to go with the mussels with bread in white wine sauce. There was a generous portion of mussels and sauce. As an added bonus we got to mussel shell "Tetris" in the bowl with the discarded shells. The main courses had a significant variance in pricing from $20 to $40. My wife ordered the short rib sliders ($21) at the suggestion of our server and I ordered the cod with jalapeño corn ($38) which was also suggested by our server. Both meals were well prepared and looked quite appetizing. We also ordered fries to round out the meal. My cod tasted great and paired well with the sweet and spiciness of the corn. The fish was crispy on the outside and white and flaky on the inside. The cod had some kind of glaze on it that added to the flavor. My wife enjoyed the short rib sliders. I tried one of the three sliders and I was surprised that they were short ribs. Nonetheless they tasted good. My cod looked tasty but was definitely not the portion size I expected for the price. After I finished my meal, I ate most of the fries and helped my wife finish her sliders. It was a great meal and my only beef (no pun intended) was the portion size of the cod. For the portion size, I think the price should have been closer to that of the sliders- $21 or maybe split the difference. I asked our server about the portion size before I ordered and he said it was plenty which was not the case. I might suggest offering 2 portion sizes for the cod so there is a gauge of what to expect when ordering. Great meal and I recommend AP for anyone looking for great food on short notice in NoDa. Cheers!

Once every three months or so my girlfriends and I get together for lunch and catch up with each other. Sarah chose The Artisan's Palate and we were very excited to give it a try. The menu was amazing and they also have a full bar. Since we were just meeting for a late lunch, I opted for an unsweet tea and the shrimp artichoke salad. She brought over the tea and then came by later to check to see if it was sweet enough. I informed her that I had ordered unsweet tea, and she argued with me in front of my friends saying she brought me exactly what I had ordered. I waited tables for years and it's unacceptable that she would argue with me as to whether I ordered a sweet or an unsweet tea. I never drink sweet tea. I must confess that I have a tiny voice and my nickname growing up with mouse. I was so embarrassed sitting there with my friends and she literally ruined the vibe. Both of my friends said she should not argue with you and especially not over an iced tea. My girlfriend's had water with their meals. They never received refills for their water, and I never received a refill for my unsweet tea. The restaurant options are endless if going out for lunch and spending over $31.00 for a salad and unsweetened tea. I'm not saying I will never ever be back, but I'm so extremely disappointed in the customer service that we received on my first visit ever to this restaurant.

This is easily one of my absolute go-to spots in NoDa! The space has such a cool vibe and offers a little bit of everything--a great patio, comfortable bar seating, an art gallery, and a fantastic backyard garden seating area. In addition, a complete coffee bar, I highly suggest the malted iced coffee. The staff here is always incredibly friendly, super knowledgeable about the menu, and they do an amazing job of remembering all the regulars. They offer a wonderful mix of staple favorites, a rotating menu, inventive cocktails, and great weekly specials. I have to say, they have my favorite fries in Charlotte, hands down! They come served with a delicious aioli, as well as ketchup and sriracha ketchup. Their empanadas are also some of the best I've ever had, and I love that they offer a variety of options, including a brunch pastry empanada. If you are looking for recommendations, a few of my personal go-to dishes are: Pommes Frites (an absolute must!) Marinated Olives & Olive Tapenade Meatballs & Mussels The rotating scallop dishes To top it all off, the bar serves a great wine selection and highly creative drinks. About Damn Thyme is my current cocktail of choice!

I had a recent lunch meeting at Artisan's Palate and really enjoyed myself. The restaurant itself is so chill and inviting. I always feel relaxed when I come here. I wanted to eat lighter this day so I ordered their salad and added salmon and had a hot matcha. I loved the matcha and my salad was okay. The salmon add was $9 which isn't too too bad but to me the amount of salmon I got is what bothered me a little bit. I liked it but considering it was a $20 salad I should've been a little more satisfied than I was. I also ordered fries and they were slightly burnt but they did the trick and helped fill me up. I will most likely order other things next time I go.

This place was amazing! We were the only guests for quite a while- it was a early Thursday afternoon. Our 5 top table of foodies were so excited by the menu that we went a bit crazy on the menu. We ordered the olives, bacon wrapped dates, the spoon bread and mimosas, matcha, espressos. I had a grits bowls for my entree with all of the accoutrements. It was delicious and so much food. The space itself has a light and airy indoor/outdoor feel. Industrial/artsy decor/musical decor. I can't wait to visit Charlotte again just to come here.

I live nearby and decided to stop in to get a coffee for the first time. The place was empty aside one table so I thought the sign to wait to be seated was a little awkward. I considered getting food but the food menu before 2:30pm wasn't particularly appealing to me. I considered the curry chicken salad but didn't want to spend $30 on just a coffee and sandwich. I opted for just the iced latte which was $8 after tip. It was good but nothing special. The barista was kinda and the space has tons of seating indoor and outdoor. Definitely a hidden gem for the area. I would come back to try the food but I wouldn't come back for the coffee.

Great service and great food. I had the cod with creamed corn and it was delicious. I only wish it came with more corn. The chocolate chip bread pudding for dessert was also delicious.

Got reservations here for brunch while in town. I did love the vibe of the place. It jives with things I support as well. *locally sourced menu *monthly featured local artists *100% woman-owned and operated Service was good- my only wish was that we were told from the git go what wasn't available. There were several moments of "I want this" to have her come back and say "Sorry - it's not available today - can you pick something else?" After altering our original selection, we started with the Warm Marinated Olives & Bacon - Wrapped Dates. Both were delish and set the stage for a great brunch ahead. Then, for the main, again after receiving the news, the dish the waitress recommended to me wasn't available, so I opted for the Shrimp & Grits & Artisan's Burrata Salad. The salad was the standout of the two. I tend to like my roux a bit darker on my S&Gs, but it was still good. So overall, it was good, and I'd come back. But a few things kept it from the 5 star experience I was hoping for. Maybe next time (fingers crossed)

Ended up here by chance after missing the cutoff of yoga next door. Decided to get a bite to eat before the next scheduled class. This place is such a gem! They display and sell local art, there's also a cute secret garden in the back with seating. This is a tapas style place so shared shrimp and grits, fries, bacon wrapped dates and the Brussels sprouts. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly, grits were creamy. Crispy French fries topped with flaky sea salt, it came with three dipping sauces, sriracha ketchup, garlic aioli and regular ketchup. The bacon wrapped dates were decadent and a nice crunch from the almond. Now the star were the Brussel sprouts, crispy on the outside, soft of the inside, savory red sauce over top with flaky sea salt. The service was excellent!

Although this restaurant has been on my list to visit for awhile, today is the first time I made it there. Beautifully decorated inside and out with outside seating, it felt warm and welcoming from the moment I entered. We had a large group so we were seated at the community table. Service was amazing and the food delicious. I had the lavender mimosa and the egg board which came with bacon, scrambled eggs, sour dough toast and potatoes. We shared a croissant and biscuit board that came with an assortment of jellies and jams. I will definitely come back to see how their dinner service is. Oh and did I mention, this restaurant is woman owned!

So...was our first time here and I must say it was very disappointing food wise. This place is run by women, had quick service and support art which is why I am giving 2 stars, otherwise If I had to rate based on food level I would have given 1 star. Here is my feedback 1. The portion size for the price seems extremely small. A $17 empanadas with a count of 4 empanadas doesn't make sense to me. 2. The tomato soup was tasteless. 3. Menu shows many vegan options but it was so hard to find a proper vegan meal. Appetizers like fries, Brussel sprouts were our options but we were there for dinner, so didn't choose that. Please add some vegan meals or mention you can make the items vegan atleast. 4. Such a cute place and decorations but it was burning inside, maybe use some AC? Overall I don't think I recommend this place based on what I got but maybe it's good for other people.

We were given a bowl of complementary kettle corn to enjoy with our drinks. The music was a mix of r&b and hip hop and was loud enough to vibe but didn't overpower the conversations. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.
