I got together with a few other friends for Sunday dinner to try Room Service at Camp North End. We'd heard it had some great food options and, given the location, expected a lively atmosphere. Unfortunately, that wasn't the experience we had. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty and it stayed that way the entire time we were there. Considering how large the space is and its placement within Camp North End, that was surprising. Looking over the menu, we quickly realized that many of the items recommended in previous reviews were no longer available. The menu has clearly been changed and is now focused mainly on burgers, sandwiches, and fries. On top of that, they were out of several ingredients and menu items, as well as a few beer options that were still listed on the menu, which was disappointing and made ordering feel limited. I ordered the Hell Raiser, a steak and cheese sandwich, which was fine. One of my friends ordered The Cure, a pressed ham sandwich, which was also fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. To be fair, there's only so much you can expect from a sandwich unless it's coming from a standout sandwich spot. Our server was enthusiastic about the fry sauces, so we sampled several of them. Despite the hype, none of them really impressed me. Overall, I wasn't thrilled with this place. Between the empty dining room, the pared down and partially unavailable menu, and the lack of anything truly memorable, this isn't a place I'm likely to return to. Honestly, given the overall experience, I was surprised to see that they're still open.

We popped into Room Service after doing family photos in Camp Northend and we are so glad we did!! Our waitress was so sweet and helped us figure out something for our daughter as they don't have a kids menu. She suggested the grilled chicken that typically goes in their Caesar salad and fries - she loved it! Their fries are beer battered and fantastic. She also brought out Guess Who proactively so we could play as a family - so thoughtful. As for me and my husband, we tried the following: - Jeff Goldblum Drinks for Free - delicious and light cocktail - Fairuza - fantastic flavor forward bourbon cocktail - Classic Smash Burger with fries - my husband devoured this!! - Hell Raiser - wow. What a fun and spicy twist to a Philly cheesesteak! There is intimate indoor seating and quite a bit of outside seating as well. We can't wait to go back for a date night!

Mushroom Swiss Burger, Fries, Moscow Mule

The food was delicious. Fries were crispy and yummy. The burger was good too, however; I wish there were more meat as it did not fill up the buns. The Moscow mule was good. Service was fast but it does get busy on a Saturday for lunch so make sure to be patience. Staff is friendly. This is a really chill spot to grab lunch with friends. We had a big party outside. Will definitely come back for some ROOM SERVICE

Smash Burger was Spot on!! The meat, special sauce, perfectly cooked caramelized onions Chef Jordan and his team killing it behind the scenes. Great service from Andre behind the bar as well. If you had not tried this semi hidden gem, you need to get yourself over here.

Really loved this place and don't think it gets enough attention/marketing! Stumbled upon it while in Camp North End. Ambience is very "trendy" with low lighting, aesthetically pleasing decor, and good music. I had the Favorite Daughter cocktail - I am not the best at judging cocktails and all I can say is it was really good. The bartender came up to the table to ask my thoughts on it which was really cool. Food was awesome - had the Whipped Feta and loved the hot honey that came on it. Good portion! My date had the smashburger (I forgot what it was called on the menu) but he said it was amazing. I also had the Caesar salad - it was perfect and such a big portion. Loved the bread that came with it, too. Our server was attentive while also not being too much. Food and drink came out fast and once we confirmed everything was good, we were left alone until we requested the bill (which is what I prefer). She was always around and would be able to wave over if we needed her :) I wish I took more pictures - I've been off my Yelp game for a little while and am just now getting back to posting reviews!!

We went to Camp North End tonight for the free outdoor movie date night and decided to grab Room Service for dinner before the movie started. We were seated quickly with no wait and got outside seating which was awesome bc the weather was perfect. Our waitress was quick and efficient but alas.. we were brought room temp water. Maybe thats not a big deal to other people.. I understand much of the world drinks room temp water.. but not here and not me. The last thing I want to drink is your room temp toilet water thank you very much, plz bring some ice. Anyway, I ordered the "classic smash burger" which I feel is kinda being a little overplayed.. or is that just me? Its like smash burgers are having their froyo moment and everyone has one or is adding one to their menu bc its a trending keyword. I was going to order the "southern smash burger" which I found via their online menu before leaving the house but apparently the online menu doesn't match the restaurant menu... bc it wasn't on it. The burger came with a single patty, american cheese, carmelized (grilled) onions, shredded lettuce, something called "party sauce", and house made pickles on a potato bun with a side of fries. The burger was good, not great, but good. I'm not the biggest fan of a bun that outsizes the burger (meat portion) itself which is what I found here, but every full bite of the burger taste exactly as I imagined it would. The fries were extra crunchy which I absolutely LOVED but they charge you for ranch which I feel like is a sin if you're in the South bc all fries should come with ranch by default. So between the toilet water, the micro patty, and paying for ranch.. I thought the dinner overall was good. I likely wouldn't have a reason to come back but I'm glad I tried a new place tonight. If you're in the area looking for a quiet place to enjoy a good conversation with good food.. maybe give this place a shot and tell me I'm wrong afterward.

This was my first time visiting this very quaint and cozy spot with elements of an 80s vibe. This was a Thursday afternoon around 4 PM so we were really like the only group in there at that time. The place is not large at all, but it's just a perfect spot to hang out with a couple of friends or a meet up for an early date. They don't really have an extensive menu of food and drinks, but what they do offer was pretty good and all of us seem satisfied. Would I come out and visit this spot again? Absolutely!

I walked in and sat at the bar. I waited about 10 mins or so for sometime to assist me. I did get water within about 5 mins of sitting down. I ordered the Origin Story, which was tasty and different. The straw is covered with chamoy at the bottom. I also had the smash burger with fries. Small burger, tasty. Total was 17 for the burger and fries and 15 for the drink. The space is cute and they have outside seating. The experience wasn't bad... But I didn't really feel welcome or attended to during my time which is why I'm giving it a 3 stars. The experience is important to me.

Had a nice lunch here after an Urbanists tour of Camp North End. After a lot of walking it was nice to sit inside to cool off. The place has a comfortable trendy vibe. Lots of seating by the door with couches and tables if you just want to come in and lounge while waiting for a table. We had a house made lemonade, the Eddie forever, Sliders, and The Cure. All great blends of flavors and ingredients. Very tasty. A bit pricey for the portions but this is a trendy Charlotte spot, so it was not off the charts. Food is good and you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere. One thing to note, please please, get your sanitation rating up from the 91. We had no issues here, but the sanitation rating does factor in when choosing a restaurant. We gave it a try anyway and everything was good. I would definitely come back so I hope to see the rating a little higher upon returning.

Fries with all the sauce, the cure and backwater martinis

Room Service is a super cute bar in Camp Northend, it had tons of seating available upon arrival. We were seated right away and it took a really long time for our waitress to even bring us water. We ordered drinks first and after 15 minutes we still didn't have them. There was really no one inside and barely anyone outside. We ordered food while we waited, the fries with all the sauce were great and had a decent amount of fries! The cure sandwich was also pretty good. We ordered food and got the food before our drinks ever made an appearance at our table. Service was just really slow for there not being a lot of people at the restaurant, I'd have to see what it's like on a busy day. Overall good food and drinks, but service needs some work

Checking out Room Service as I enjoyed another #MeTime date. The roasted chick peas to me, were over roasted. They pretty much dissolved on touch.  The taste was good tho. Washed them down with a glass of La Posta wine. I wanted to try this spot mainly for their steak but unfortunately steak is no longer on the menu. Therefore I called an audible and ordered the Roman Empire. A Fried Chicken sandwich with umami mayo, citrus slaw and a marinated cucumber all on a brioche bun. Of course I remove everything except for the cucumber. Y'all know I'm picky. Long story short the chicken tastes like a greasy smashburger. I ended up removing most of the breading.  I washed this all down with a drink that they've labeled the Jeff Goldblum Drinks For Free. Great drink....it hits you in waves. If I decide to return to this establishment it will be to try their other cocktails and drinks. Also 20% gratuity automatically added.   #GratuityAdded #RoomService #charlottefood #cltfood #cltfoodie #CampNorthEnd #CLTNewEats #clteats #clt #queencity #foodie #charlotteeats #charlottesgotalot #CLThangouts #exploreclt #cltfoodies #eatdrinkclt #keeppounding #Charlit #bestfoodcharlotte  #cltfoodbloggers   #uptowncharlotte #goodeats #buzzcity #supportlocal #charlotterestaurants #cltagenda

Attended a function here for a colleague celebrating the first anniversary of his company. The ambiance and decor is what first struck me. Elegant and inviting. Nice vibe. Tried the sliders, Caesar salad, fries, all were delicious. My husband had a John Daly and enjoyed his drink. Looked like about 30-40 people could comfortably fit. Definitely a nice choice for a small function but I could see coming back for drinks and bar bites. Staff were very friendly and willing to give us some history. I'm thinking about having them host a work function.

Cute spot perfect for a date night or girls night out. We had cocktails, wine, sliders, and fries. The fries are similar to the fries at Ace No. 3-super crunchy. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was kind of dead. I hope they do better on the weekends. There is a parking garage around the corner with 3 free hours of parking.

She was extremely sweet, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some really great recommendations. For drinks I ordered a NA rose. It had a bit of a dryer taste than I would have preferred as I'm more of a sweet drinker, but not bad. My friend ordered the Blackberry Sage and Soda and really enjoyed it. For an appetizer, we ordered the burrata. If you enjoy tomatoes, pesto, cheese, and bread, just get it, you won't regret it! It was very flavorful! We almost considered ordering a second helping! For the entree, I ordered the Atlantic Salmon with a side of broccolini. It was the best broccolini I think I've ever had! It was seasoned very well and had a smokey taste from the charring. My friend ordered the Creste Di Gato and really enjoyed it and the broccolini as well! For dessert, I ordered the sticky toffee cake and it was MAGNIFICENT! It was brought out warm and the flavor combinations were just so good! Right now, I'm planning to make room for it every time I come back and I most definitely will come back lol. 10/10 experience! Would recommend!

We were a walk in but were able to score a table outside which was perfect. The drinks are good and the staff members work as a team so there's not one primary waitress. I ordered a custom drink where I told the server what I liked and the bartender created something based on my likes. It was a "fruity" tequila based drink and I enjoyed it. We were given a bowl of complementary kettle corn to enjoy with our drinks. The music was a mix of r&b and hip hop and was loud enough to vibe but didn't overpower the conversations. Random Notes: Parking is validated and the hidden bathroom was so cute. The inside is perfect for selfies lol.

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

Luckily for them there are plenty of good options, one of which is The Free Range Bar! Free Range Brewing is one of the older Charlotte breweries that has been around since 2015 during the height of the craft beer craze. Due to their years of fostering a community, it is no surprise to me that they were able to open up a satellite tap room years later. This second location is smack dab in Camp Northend surrounded by plenty of patio seats outside, and featuring a quaint little barroom inside. This smaller tap room has a more intimate setting. The people working there are friendly and they have a variety of beers to try along with other beverages if beer isn't your thing. While I don't think this is a replacement for the original, it does a good job paying homage, and provides great beer options for Camp Northend.
