I made a reservation for a party of 5 for my birthday last weekend. On arrival, we were promptly seated and the whole party did not have to be there, which was great. The restaurant was very cute and intimate. Our server, Matt was very friendly and took drink orders while we waited for the rest of the party to arrive. I ordered a bottle of still and sparkling water. The waters took a while to arrive and we had multiple other servers come to our tap to offer tap water which we ended up taking, because the bottled water still hadn't arrive after 10-15 minutes. Our server was apologetic and let us know that the bar was backed up. This was during Queen's Feast week, so it may have been busier than normal. We ordered appetizers and entrees. I wanted to try the deviled eggs, lamb meatballs, tuna tacos, and Rockefeller oysters...I enjoyed all except the meatballs weren't my fav. The manager brought out Brussels sprouts for our wait. SN: we were waiting around 20 mins for apps and even longer for our food. The server informed that they recently hired a new chef who was still acclimating. Later I was provided a cute champagne tree for my friends and I to enjoy! It was beautiful! I enjoyed my food and would give the restaurant another try. We did have to park in the parking garage which the restaurant was very informative about where we could and could not park. It was a 3-5 min walk from the restaurant. We paid $10 for 3 hours. We visited during Restaurant Week after the menu at the Plaza location caught our eye. We were greeted quickly and placed our order right away, but after that, the pace of service slowed quite a bit. We both started with the coconut shrimp appetizer. It was cooked well and enjoyable, but we thought it could have used a little more salt and acidity to brighten the flavors. About 20 minutes later our entrées arrived. We weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a huge issue. I ordered the octopus, which was delicious and a generous portion. My husband had the short rib with polenta, served in a simmer pot, and he really enjoyed the rich flavor. The only downside was that the vegetables were undercooked and still quite firm. We were especially looking forward to dessert--the matcha panna cotta and olive oil cake--but ended up waiting close to 25 minutes for it. Since both desserts are prepared ahead of time and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, that was probably the most disappointing part of the evening. Thankfully, both desserts were delicious once they arrived. Overall, we enjoyed the food and appreciated the friendly service, even if it was slower than expected. The restaurant has a beautiful space with a nice bar, patio seating, and plenty of room in the dining area. Parking can be a challenge, as street parking is very limited, but there is a nearby garage that makes it manageable. I'd definitely consider returning, especially to try more of the menu, but I hope the timing of the service is a bit more polished on our next visit. read more

3.5 stars My grilled salmon was delicious. I really liked it ( minimum oil treatment and its mild flavor). Paired with a bit broccolini very well. And the vegetable risotto underneath was rather oily to my taste. I left untouched. Both kale orange salad and Mediterranean salad were delightful n refreshing. Again with little olive oil (barely seen on the plate) was so hearty. Fillet mignon was very tender and delectable. Grilled baby rainbow carrots were also very savory. Staff were very nice and attentive. A very nice outdoor seating with many plant and flower pots create some romantic dining atmosphere. Great for dating. Hot steamy Sunday brunch on the patio at this new to me location. I've been to all the other dilworth tasting rooms in town and I like the uniqueness of this one to the area. It fits in well. Great indoor decor and a really nice patio which they covered as much as they can with umbrellas . They have a very small parking lot otherwise your bound to either pay for parking or find street parking. Really nice place though and we really enjoyed the brunch we had even though it was super hot! The service was a little slow considering it wasn't really busy. We came later than the usual crowd, around 1.30. Took awhile for the server to get to us and for the drinks to come out. We all got different cocktails, I had a good Aperol spritz, friends had the Porn star martini, Malo sutra and the French 75. All were made well and hit the brunch spot! Food we shared the whipped ricotta toast, veggie omelette, DTR burger and the house made cinnamon roll. All dishes were excellent. Served up with fries the burger was huge and filled with all the goodies, double smash burger with a interesting green goddess dressing. I didn't have this but the girls dug in ! The ricotta toast was also served up on a crunchy sliced baguette with avocado and tomatoes. Nice and light. The omelette was good and hearty. Lots of veggies and cheese and we swapped out breakfast potatoes for the fries. Love a shoestring fry! The cinnamon roll is a must! Gooey and warm and perfect amount of cinnamon and icing. Loved this and great to share for a sweet ending! Great place for girls night, date night or big groups. The dinner menu had great variety and they have a really nice bar. Mi gente... the short version of the this review is that this place is fantastic, and this is coming from a picky bastard from New York. So we were seated and our waiter was Michael and once he asked me what my favorite drink was, his drink and meal recommendations were spot on. We had the whipped ricotta, calamari and Brussels sprouts at the recommendation of Michael and Alejandro the GM who made sure everything was great. We destroyed those appetizers and drinks and then moved to the entrees: the halibut and the chicken orecchiette. The halibut was so flaky and well seasoned. The chicken was breast was well seasoned and juicy. We didn't think it could get better, but we got some more drink recommendations bartender Ricardo and they were amazing (Ask for the All That And Then Some with gin instead of vodka after your meal, you won't regret it if you like Key Lime Pie). After all my disappointments with food in the Charlotte area, this place will now become one of my regular spots!!! read more

Had a solo celebratory dinner at the bar tonight, and i cannot explain how pleasantly surprised i was. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Let me start by saying how fantastic Adam and Ricardo were. Kind, welcoming, intellectual angels. Will 100% be going back just to see them again. The food? Out of this world! I've been to this restaurant many times before and really enjoyed it, which is why I was so disappointed by how I was treated during my most recent visit. A friend and I came in expecting to have a good time, but the bartenders were extremely rude from the start and i just assumed it was maybe because he was new, because he said that he was. He in fact was not new just lying and flat out rude. When I tried to address the issue calmly, The owner (who introduced himself as michael & said he'd only been working there for a week) attempted to fix the first interaction by moving us to the other end of the bar & offering to comp our drinks and app. when moving down to the end of the bar the next bartender startrd respondeding sarcastically to that previous situation by--literally saying things like "No way" and "I find that hard to believe"--which only escalated the situation. My friend reacted obnoxiously i'll admit but instead of trying to defuse things, the staff asked us to leave. The whole thing just felt unprofessional, dismissive, and left a really bad taste in my mouth. It's clear they don't want my business which i get & understand me not giving it really doesn't matter. However this whole experience made it really hard to recommend this place again to future friends. With all the sarcasm, rudeness and all strange lying. I'd avoid if possible. read more

I find all of the DTRs to feel like instagrammable, home goods decor threw up in the restaurant. Always feels off. The service was good, but chaotic. It's really loud and the waitresses do not seem to have time with how they are staffed so you are constantly having to wave someone down if you need help. Food was ok, some was really good, others just average. We got a lot of different things, the whipped cheese with the Croatian bread (forget the exact name) was good, the bread was delicious. Fries were great, we got an extra bowl. Short rib pasta was tasty. Lamb meatballs were ok, a little dry. Tuna was covered in way too much avocado. Recently had an amazing time here for a birthday dinner group of 10. We were all immediately impressed with the decor and the atmosphere. Our server explained that it was Croatian expired and so the food menu features a lot of Mediterranean dishes. I appreciate that instead of just copy and pasting the same concept in different neighborhoods, each Dilworth Tasting Room location feels unique and well thought out. My date and I decided to split a charcuterie board and some fried calamari. The food was fresh and tasted excellent! The group ordered a variety of different dishes and all gave stellar reviews, it was clear everyone enjoyed their meal as well as all of their different cocktails. While the place is built off of wine they have a wonderful and diverse cocktail menu that shouldn't be overlooked. After my first review, the GM reached out to apologize and invite me back. Even following up a couple times months later, it really impressed me that they cared that much. My first visit was their opening weekend, so I figured it was worth giving them another shot. This visit did not disappoint! Cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert were all PHENOMENAL!!! The roasted carrots for an appetizer were extremely delicious (you must get these). Steak was clearly a better cut of meat this time and was seasoned and cooked to perfection. (The steak doesn't come sliced like in my photo, our friends requested it that way so they could share it. And we forgot to take a photo of mine). Brussels Sprouts as a side were perfection.....I am an Brussel Sprouts snob....and these more than past my test. My wife had the short rib orecchiette (pasta dish), freaking amazing! They house make some of their desserts, honestly if you go here and you don't get the desserts you've missed out! We had the baklava and the orange olive oil cake they were epic. The New York strip is very tough and like a rubber, we were unable to eat it. We didn't eat anything basically. Went to DTR plaza with a group of friends and it was a great experience. We started with drinks. Espresso martinis tasted delicious and looked gorgeous as well! Another at our table got a French 75 which was also well made! For our dinner we got a variety of things that included the DTR salad, orichette with short rib ragu, octopus salad, whipped ricotta and more. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The whipped ricotta with pistachios was so different and delicious. The wine selection and pricing was also very great, we opted for the Madmen red blend and were all very happy with the bottle we selected! We had reservations for 8:15 and had to wait a few minutes for our table upon arrival but were served with Prosecco while we waited which was so kind.
