There was one of two things I was after. 1) Renewing the annual lease agreement. 2) For the eviction to not be on my credit report Megan ends up contacting the landlord's owner attorney and set up a deal. The deal requires me to pay all of the landlord's court fee, repair cost and be out of the house by a sudden date. In exchange, the eviction will not show up on my credit report. As young as I am, having an eviction in my record will hurt me for the next 7 years, so I am willing to fight it. So after first denying we existed I sent a copy of the very confirmations of information uploaded to their website and payment to their office. I also sent the emails that went ignored. The owner has now refunded us but what about the time we lost in a time-sensitive legal matter? An eviction matter has a specific time-clock and it's already a drawn out process. The owner can rapid fire respond to a yelp or google review but couldn't be bothered to respond to emails? To calls? Or to take any action whatsoever? That's priorities! And to be clear- tonight I read a review by someone named Matt Reis on google. He had the exact same experience 4 weeks ago. He lost valuable time and money due to their inaction and dereliction. And no one communicated with him either. So it's a pattern not an anomaly.
